They have them, and not just one brand but 5-6 brands. Do you need ski socks, sneakers, slippers, regular shoes, or practically anything footwear related? They have it. The thing I like the most about this store is that it's not a chain. It's an independent little shop run by two very helpful ladies. It's jam packed with boots of every style, from work books for me to fashionable winter boots for my wife. Prices are reasonable, and if you're smart you can find good sales deals. I'm not much of a shopper and I am especially not one to go out of my way to go shoe shopping, but this is a must visit - your feet will thank you.

Well, not so much in the shoe department, as I still don't see a whole lot of size 11 shoes. It's the selection of Kipling purses. For a while, I have been longing for a purple Kipling purse. They are few and far between. I have a black one that I love. I managed to find a small purple one in Ottawa, which I adore. I found the same purple coloured Kipling purse at this store, but a bit larger. When I first saw it, I couldn't believe it. I held it and debated whether I wanted it. Rational me put it down and got on with my day. However, the day before I had to head home, I decided to stop by the store again. If this purple purse was there, it was meant to be mine. Otherwise, I would be okay if it went to a happy shopper to love. On Thursday, I arrived just before noon. It was there! It was mine! I now am the proud owner of two purple Kipling purses and am extremely happy. The cashier helping me out was great and friendly. She asked if I had a TJX Style card. I did and had it scanned. I paid using a debit card and all was well. The checkout area caters to both HomeSense and Marshalls. Another first was dropping by the women's washroom with a purchased item. I have rarely done it. However, since I had been out and about for at least a couple of hours, it was okay. I also wanted to declare this purse mine. The washroom was clean and spacious. It's in the far right corner of the store when you first walk in. There is plenty of parking in front of this store, both on Sunday and Thursday. I got spots pretty close to the main entrance. (257)

I couldn't find it anywhere except online and if there's something you need to know about me is that I don't pay for shipping. Ever. So I gave up the search and accepted that I would never have the bag of my dreams.....until one day when my boyfriend brought me to Mile End Kicks. I live nearby yet never thought about checking it out because it completely slipped my mind that it existed. But there it was. MY BAG *heart*. My boyfriend surprised me with it and I've had it ever since. Now I make sure to visit every few months to see if they've gotten anything new recently that could be cool. I don't buy very many shoes so I usually skip that section of the store.

Stumbled upon this place a few years ago when I was in Montreal and bought a pair of shoes I loved…read more I was back in the city this week and stopped in for another pair. I decided to try on something different, but was having an issue where the 9's were fitting weird in the heel whereas the 9.5's felt snug, and I was trying to figure out why. After explaining this to both the lady who was helping me and a man who appeared to be a manager(?), the man leans over to the lady and whispers "he's crazy", and then goes on to say in a lower voice that "he'll probably try all these on and just buy the initial pair" (the shoes I came back to buy). First I'll just say that it was pretty clear that there was a fit issue, as it was easily demonstrable by me trying the two shoes on and lifting my heel. I really wish he had of looked at the issue and tried to figure it out, instead of just explaining what a heel counter was and how Onitsuka's don't have them (it was two sizes of the same shoe so this is irrelevant). The lady, by contrast, provided constructive comments like 'try to really tighten the lower laces to push your foot back'. I've worked this job, and I know how customers can be a pain. And if you're not gonna be helpful, the least you can do is not make such comments within earshot of the customer. Or, maybe in French, as at least I wouldn't understand it. It was a huge turn off and I likely won't be going back, which is unfortunate because this place has an awesome show selection and the people are generally super helpful.

Or, did I completely miss it because I wanted to hit the Gap outlet all three times? I have no idea. I got a decent parking spot and went into this Winners. It has an excellent assortment of phone accessories. Part of me wanted to get a purple USB-C cable. I don't have a purple one. I passed, as I do have enough of these cables for my needs. The kitchen gadgets are great, too. I managed to get a pineapple tea infuser. It's silicone, cute, and $3. When I paid for it at the checkout, the nice woman and I had a talk about tea and how stinking cute this tea infuser was. I am pleased that the Winners stores out east have a colourful assortment of Kipling bags. I spotted a pink Kipling backpack at this store. It is rare. I don't need one, but it was nice to take a photo of it. The selection of size 11 shoes at this Winners is impressive. I didn't need another pair of Converse sneakers. I do know that the variety is pretty good. This store has washrooms. They are at the back of the store, on the right when you walk through the main entrance. This Winners is next to Forever 21. Both stores are away from the long, connected set of box stores. (249)
