This store had cool items, such as a Beaver water tube. It was quirky and fun. I liked the shorts that were there. Sadly, they weren't on sale. It's probably one reason why this Roots store wasn't as fabulous as the last one that I was at. The sale prices weren't amazing on the items that I loved. The shoe section was a bit disappointing. I revisited the outlet again last September. I am a Gap girl. I like the fact that I can get casual clothing at decent, reduced prices at any Gap outlet. This one is no exception. Both times, I bought some wonderful pieces. I fondly recall getting a jean skirt that had wonderful Lycra stretch to it. I got it for $10! The last time I was there, I got many nice articles of clothing, including a lightweight t-shirt that had various attractions in San Francisco, and a navy blue knitted cardigan with a hoodie. The first time I was there, I recall the male staff member cashing me out and how friendly he was. I bought a lot of items, but didn't break the bank. He gave me $50 worth of Gap cash, which you can redeem a bit later. I redeemed the $50 at the Gap outlet in Ajax. The woman there thought it was cool to see Gap cash entirely in French! I had the same experience the last time I was at the outlet. The woman was friendly and helpful. I love this location. It is my go-to place when I am nearby. (30)

I came in time of no extra sales but everything was generally 30% off compared to other stores. They have a well equipped women's, children's and man section. I saw some maternity items, but no gym clothes. Clearance items were not as many as I expected from other stores. I got some great mans shirts, that I wasnt willing to pay full price for in the store downtown. Other great thing I didnt know about: If you own a special Gap Bag, you get another 15% off on all the items, just ask at the register!

This place is awful. I brought three pieces of clothing: one required very simple alterations, and…read morewas done okay, but two required more extensive work. A pair of pants I asked to have taken in at the waist and legs came back with one leg too tight and the other even tighter. There was a difference of almost 3/4 of an inch in the taper. I insisted they be fixed, and the second attempt wasn't much better. I also brought a vintage coat from the 30s to find out if it was worth modernizing. The tailor assured me the fabric was hugely expensive wool. I told him I'd want to get the coat cleaned first to make sure it would look good, and he told me not to worry; he was going to take care of everything. When I asked if he was sure, he told me "Please, I'm here 30 years..." Well, when I got the coat back, looked like it had been sewn by a student, and it was just as unclean as it had been when I dropped it off. I brought it to a dry cleaner and the stains, as I suspected, could not be lifted. Also, the coat wasn't wool. The shop needs more craftsmanship and less con. I wouldn't go back there to hem a pair of Levi's, let alone trust them with anything of value.
