Service was adequate, nothing extraordinary but as expected. I ordered an antipasti (Carpaccio classico di Manzo), paste (Lasagne Verdi al forno), and attempted to also order a carne (Polpettone alla Napoletana) and the waiter seemed shocked I was ordering a 3rd course. He said I already ordered the paste, which one did I want the paste or the carne? He works at an Italian restaurant but doesn't know the culture? He was almost insistent I should only have 2 courses and my Portuguese not being up to a conversational level I decided to let it go. The fact of the matter is we were a party of 15 people and most of them were young people so I planned on sharing it with those near me so they could have a better experience at a nice restaurant they normally would not get to go to. The Carpaccio and Lasagne were good but the experience was also tempered by the fact that they only accept cash and no credit or debit cards. This is 2025 and for an upscale restaurant not to accept cards is ???

Well I test tried this italian (? I put a questionmark here because they offer quite a few…read morebrasilian choices too) restaurant with an italian classic, spaghetti bolognese and I have to say it passed with flying colours. The pasta was great (it takes an effort to find pasta in Brasil which is NOT overcooked), the sauce very tasty. The price was also quite acceptable, 38 reais for the pasta, although obviously not an every day choice for lunch (unless you're loaded of course). The only real minus of the place is that it's quite noisy, but that's down to the boisterous brasilian lunch crowd.
