I stumbled upon this quaint little cafe on my way to a meeting. As I'm an hour early, I decided to grab a quick lunch here before headed off my way. I started lunch with a flat white and I thought the design was quite beautiful. The barista cringed slightly as he spotted me posting a picture of his coffee art - he thought he could've made a better one. A perfectionist barista? I'm liking this place already! Nothing speaks better than a person who takes his/her work seriously...even better if it's to the point of crazy perfectionism.
I continued my lunch with a lovely Argos' bacon and egg toasties. If I was hungrier, the toasties would've tasted much better - I was quite full from breakfast. Don't get me wrong though, it was delicious! Delicious enough for me to devour it completely.
Another great thing about this place is that it has free wifi. I love finding cafes that I could pop by and do a bit of work in. The interior designing is lovely and it's decorated with Ted McDonnell's works. If you're not familiar with him, Ted has won a number of awards since returning to journalism & photojournalism. So if you're a fan of photography works, this would give you an incentive to pop by the cafe.
All in all, I would definitely come back again. Be it for work or just to hang out with friends. read more
