I would like to express concerns regarding my family's interactions with Dan Roth, MSN, APRN,…read moreFNP-BC, during our father's hospitalization at Sunrise Hospital. On Tuesday 9, 2026 at approximately 10:00 AM, Mr. Roth visited our family to discuss hospice care options. At that time, we informed him that we needed additional time to discuss these options as a family before making any decisions. Subsequently, another member of the care team met with us, and after further discussion, we decided not to pursue hospice care at that time. We assumed this decision had been communicated to all relevant members of the hospice and care teams. However, on Thursday at approximately 8:45AM, Mr. Roth returned and again began discussing hospice care. Because our family members were not all present, my father called my sister so she could participate in the conversation. During that discussion, we clearly communicated that we intended to continue pursuing treatment, including chemotherapy. Despite this, Mr. Roth continued emphasizing that my father's illness was terminal. While we fully understand the seriousness of his diagnosis, the manner in which the information was presented felt unnecessarily pessimistic and dismissive of our family's decision to continue treatment. Rather than feeling supported in making an informed choice, we felt pressured toward hospice care despite having already communicated our wishes. Additionally, communication barriers appeared to arise when Mr. Roth attempted to speak Spanish. Given the importance of discussing complex medical decisions, we believe professional interpretation services or communication in the language in which he is most proficient would help prevent misunderstandings and ensure patients and families receive clear, accurate information. We understand that hospice is an important option that should be discussed when appropriate. However, we believe patients and families should feel respected and supported regardless of the treatment path they choose. We hope this feedback can be reviewed to improve communication and patient-family experiences moving forward.

My wife who was suffering with pain from multiple…read moresurgeries (2 knee replacements and a revision, cervical and 2 lumbar) and declining Dementia took a serious downward turn on 3 July. We had been anticipating home hospice and the 4th of July weekend did not look to be a good time to start. I made the phone call anticipating a Voice Mail session. Surprise, Michelle answered and took relevant information. On the Friday Holiday 4th of July I received a call from Harmony liaison Joe Trujillo - he did a DocuSign via email for legal documents. On Saturday the July the 5th Nurse Mia arrived to complete the intake. On Sunday July 6th Nurse Mia did a follow-up visit. This all happened so rapidly and on a big Holiday weekend. There was a following cascade of RN's, CNA, Social worker and religious support. The care and compassion that was delivered was superb. Many many thanks to our dedicated care giving team- Joe, Michelle, Mia, Nicole, Christine and Reverend Solomon who were with us to our dear wife and mother's passing. Watching a loved one's demise with dreaded Dementia is nothing short of agonizing and Team Harmony surely helped relieve some of the burden. Thanks again and a very Well Done!

Unfortunately, his health deteriorated to the point he needed in-home hospice care. Every single administrator, nurse, assistant, plus the pastor, showed us so much care that I am moved to tears. To properly describe their service, one needs to use every single positive adjective in Webster's Dictionary....kind, considerate, professional, witty, intelligent, careful, compassionate, respectful, eloquent, educated, punctual, empathetic.... They informed us of every service available, and we were able to choose what was best for my husband. They anticipated every need so he & I could just love each other. When it is their time, I hope they receive the same beautiful care they gave my husband. Diane G. Las Vegas

I didn't know what to expect from a Hospice or what hospice care involves, especially from a State that I didn't reside. With that, I expected the most and was very satisfied with the care my brother was given. It wasn't just about giving him drugs to ease his extreme pain of pancreatic cancer, it was important to myself and siblings my brother remained clear headed and not dominated by opiates. Everything we felt our brother needed, from the custom requests for breakfast, to a different bed, Nevada Hospice Care responded immediately without question. As they monitored my brother on a daily basis, they recommended changes to us so that we could make the decisions for our brother. In truth, Nevada Hospice Care not only made my brother comfortable in every way, they made sure my siblings were just as comfortable in our confidence and security our brother was well taken care of. I won't deny, my siblings can be very demanding, almost unfairly, but Nevada Hospice Care handled all our requests without confrontation. Nevada Hospice Care represented themselves in a very accurate way when I was put in the position to research Hospices in Las Vegas, There are many to choose from and you would do no different than I when it came to choosing a Hospice Care for an ailing relative. Tony Farmanali, the owner of Nevada Hospice Care, met with me and provided me with honest answers to my questions. He gave me insights to the hospice industry, the positives and negatives. There are both, and you need to know both sides. I chose Nevada Hospice Care because I felt Tony was honest with me when he said he will take care my brother with more attention than state regulations require. Tony and Nevada Hospice Care delivered in every way. It's an unfortunate thing, to lose a brother to cancer to discover good people and good honest businesses. On behalf of my family, we sincerely thank Nevada Hospice Care and their staff for the extra care they gave to my brother the last two months of his life.

Well I called and got an answering service. I don't want to leave a long winded message, so I waited 5-10 minutes and called again. This was at 4 in the afternoon on a Friday. Second time I called back, a recording asked me to leave my name and reason for calling first before the person on the other end would accept the call. Really? They're screening calls? That doesn't seem caring and compassionate to me, so they lose my business, and yes, it is a business as they get paid very well by insurance for each patient they take on.

The Dr put in a referral to omnia care not knowing we already had care through mesaview home health. My mom called them back because caller ID said hospice. When she she asked if this was mesaview they lied and said yes. They said they would come out. When Debra the nurse got there she was told not to mention hospice because we had a plan in motion with the Dr. to do radiation and palliative care. She had talked to my aunt previously and said "I think he shouldn't do radiation I think he should do hospice." My aunt told her it's not her decision nor what she thinks. When she got there my mom said that she talked to Erika. She said she didnt know Erika and she was omnicare. My mom told her not to talked about hospice because we already made a decision. The first thing she told my grandpa was her opinion on radiation and how it would burn his skin he'd be in horrible pain and how he should just do hospice. She scared him into deciding hospice. We were extremely upset, because she had no right to inform him when she wasn't qualified. we had an appointment with the radiologist who could have better explained the pros and cons. The next horrible words out of her mouth was hr could drink a whole bottle of morphine and it would put him to sleep, but not kill him. She said it multiple times. My mom called mesaview and told them they sent a horrible nurse, and they informed her it wasn't from their company. We called omniacare to take him off of there care, they begged us to give them a chance. They wanted to have a meeting to give them a chance. After they were caught trying to steal a patient. The head lady didn't really seem to grasp the issue. She asked me to take down my Google review in exchange for them to withdraw care for my grandpa. They care more about a Google review than they do patients.
