The sales people are friendly and helpful (if perhaps a tiny bit pushy) and pointed me in the right direction for what I sought. They carried bottles of Korean red ginseng (my alternative to a can of diet Coke) as well as a Red Bull-esque canned drink that didn't suck. Prices are reasonable -- I think? -- and upon checkout I was given a free energy bar with my purchase, so yay! Selection of products appeared vast, so if they don't carry the exact item you're looking for, odds are good that sh*t doesn't exist. When the manager finally responded, I was told that the store manager had decided earlier that morning that they would no longer process returns after 30 days because "it's not in the system." This explanation didn't align with the fact that the item had just scanned in the system moments earlier. When I asked about the Twice as Nice Guarantee, the manager acknowledged it but offered no solution and walked away. This interaction wasn't just inconvenient, it demonstrated a breakdown in leadership, communication, and policy adherence. The store manager implemented a rule that contradicts Aldi's own published guarantees, the acting manager failed to provide clarity or support, and the employee was left without the tools or direction needed to resolve a basic customer issue. The result was simple: I kept the product, and the store kept my money, which is the opposite of what their guarantee promises. Adding to the concern, I noticed full boxes of kettle chips being stocked despite being past their expiration date.
