I had had other work done by another contractor that was sub par. I pointed out all of the areas that needed repair, which was several ceiling and wall areas. He gave me a bid of $2700 to repair everything. He agreed to start work the following Monday. I had to actually call him on that Monday, because he did not show up. He claimed that he thought that the job started on Tuesday. Also, unfortunately, I did not notice on his original written bid, that he failed to list the wall repairs on the bid, even though we had clearly talked about those items. He finished the ceiling and said that he would come back the next day to do the additional items. But, he wanted payment that night, since the majority of the work was done. I should not have paid him, but I did. When he came back the next day, his attitude was completely different. Now, he wanted to charge me additional dollars for the wall repairs. He yelled and used profanity, and then stormed off, telling me that he would deal with me, "when I calmed down". I called him back and told him that I needed 3 areas of the ceiling that he had just repaired, worked on. The work that he had done was not done properly in a few areas. He said that his back hurt and that he would come back at another time to do those repairs. I called him back to do the repairs on his original work. Once again, he yelled and used profanity with me, and then hung up. I had a time line that I needed the repairs to be done , due to the scheduling of a painter. He claimed that I was pressuring him to do the job within too tight of a timeline. Mind you, I had waited two weeks for him to come back and fix his work. So, now, I have paid him in full and he refuses to fix his work. I would say that overall, his work was average, but he is impossible to deal with and hot headed. I would NOT recommend Dodson drywall to anyone!! (unless you don't mind him swearing at you and yelling at you and walking off the job when he has to deal with conflict) In addition to all of the above, he left our home extremely dirty. It took me several hours to clean up after him. He acts like he is the best drywall person out there and talks badly about ALL other contractors, when in fact he is NO better than average.

I was very impressed, and grateful for his help and told him so. When it came time for the texturing, my contractor called and left a message saying we were ready for texturing. He got no response. So I called and left a message myself. 20 minutes later I get a text that says "not interested" from a number I didn't recognize. I texted back asking who it was and the response was "Dodson Drywall Inc. Not interested in the job." I texted back asking why he had changed his mind. No response. I thought maybe he didn't remember coming to the house and telling me that he'd have one of his guys do the work as a side job so I texted him back reminding him of our conversation. Again, no response or explanation. I understand that contractors in Florida are busy, especially during season, but to allow someone to depend on your services and then just flake out on them with absolutely no explanation is not only rude but also unprofessional. Remodeling your home is stressful enough without having to deal with people like this. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for your texturing/drywall needs.

I was very confused so I called back again and he answered normally. When I asked if this was Kraber Drywall, he said yes, and when I asked if he was the one who had just answered making inappropriate noises, he admitted he was and tried to make the excuse that he believed I was someone in traffic calling him who was mad at him for how he was driving? 1) you should never answer a business line that way! 2) how terrible of a driver are you that you're assuming someone is calling your business line to complain about it? Unbelievable behavior. Will not be using and would not recommend reaching out.

I just…read moremoved my elderly father out of his house and found that there was a leak from the shower into an adjacent closet. Called a plumber, got it "fixed", and figured it needed to dry out before repairs to the wall and baseboards could be done. Flew home to California and called Scott a week later. He went over, checked it out and gave me a quote. While he was there he noted some water damage in the ceiling and offered to fix that too. This was new, so he took photos for me and investigated to see if it was still wet, but he took it another step- he looked into the attic and identified the issue-the AC. He also pointed out that the shower still leaked if you sprayed water on the valve. I called the AC repairman in and called the plumber back again, who both thought they fixed it. Scott went back and said no way, they didn't fix it. He even met with our insurance adjuster and gave him his proposal to fix the drywall once the repairs were made. Poor guy went back to that house so many times to start work only to find the leaks still going. He wouldn't let the other contractors get away with shoddy work and he sent me photos and explained things clearly to me. When everything was finally fixed a few weeks later he got the insulation, drywall and baseboard replaced, textured, and painted and sent pictures. He even cleaned up and put in a clean air filter for us. This guy is GOLD. I feel so lucky to have had him on my team.i was definitely a tough client but he remained professional throughout and advocated for us to get the best outcome.

You see I had 66 tiles and needed 80. So I decided to do a border around the tile first, this way there will be enough tile to work with. Let me say Jeremy and Matthew did a great job. The way Jeremy suggested to arrange the tile, was just the look I was going for!They are on time, worked very hard, cleaned up every evening when they were done for the day.
