I brought it back to return and to try something else. It was not a large purchase or expensive item, but I don't see a point in continuing to use something that isn't working as intended. They gave us complete instructions for inflating the kayak and we were on our way in no time. We had a great day paddling for a very reasonable fee.

WOW what a time. My…read morefriend and I signed up with this company to take us on a 2 day extreme class IV/V Overnight rafting trip on the Arkansas river. We both have experience with this company from rafting the Upper Salt River in AZ. Unfortunately the water levels didn't cooperate but, the rafting company modified the itinerary to give us the best possible adventure possible. Day upper upper Browns Canyon which led to class I've and the use of duckies. Operation am not a fan but, half of our group loved them. We were then driven 1.5 hours away for our dinner and tent camping (3 miles from our put in). Ryan and Eric our guides cooked a great meal and catered to the group. We awakened to a mist and heavy fog, which we were served pancakes and sausages for a warm breakfast, and let's not forget hot coffee. We then departed at 8:30 for our trip down the Royal Gorge were we hit class in rapids, lots of class 3s, great geology, good company, lots of fun and a great experience. Ryan our lead guide and Eric did a great job for 2 days of providing us a great experience and memories. You have many choices but from a personal experience this is the best company to deal with. We are already planning next year's multi day trip.

Hi all! The…read moreAdventure Company was very professional from start to finish, and they were fun too. My family and I went rafting, and at that time, the Arkansas River was really high. There were some rapids that were very exciting, and the water was really cold, but it was funny for everyone else when I was getting soaked in the front. The water is COLD, but you get used to it pretty quickly. The rapids relaxed down in about 10 minutes, and it was a pretty smooth ride for the rest of journey. The total trip was about an hour and a half, which is a good time for younger kids. David was a great guide, and he was funny and entertaining, yet knowledgeable and passionate about many things adventure. He trained everyone in the raft the do-s and don't-s of rafting, and made sure everyone was prepared in case of emergency. He showed the techniques of how to maneuver the raft, and how to 'rescue' your buddy if they fell in. We had ages 7-57 in our group, and it was fun for everyone. If you are a beginner or have younger, more senior people in your group, I would suggest a level 1-2 experience. If you have a group of more confident, or medium-good physically fit people who like a bit more adventurous time, I would suggest a higher level of rapids. The rest of the staff in the office were very friendly, and the office and amenities were clean and organized. They had changing rooms, and clean guest bathrooms complete with showers if you so desire. They have free lockboxes for you to leave your keys or other valuables if you need. They offered picture packages, but allowed you to take whatever devices you wanted on the raft. They advise against it, and take no responsibility for your lost items, however, they did not prevent us from bringing them (we did not bring our devices). It was a little bit of a hike from Dillon, Frisco area. About 2 hours drive, but the scenery is amazing, and with good company, it makes an easy drive. You pass through some interesting towns on the way if you want to stop and get lunch or dinner! Overall, this was an awesome trip!

Additionally, they charge a 2.5% surcharge plus 10 cent surcharge if you use a credit or debit card. Imagine how cheap you have to be to add that surcharge, especially the ten cents. They notify a person of the surcharge is find print on a decal on counter in front of the counter. Upriver is not the only fly shop in the area and I would recommend any of the others.

I say kids because we were the Medicare raft! Dex was our guide - he is nice, polite and very, very helpful. It was our first time rafting and we never felt intimidated or scared. He took great care of us. Schaffer was hysterical and had us all at ease immediately, laughing and joking along the way. The local beer and chips at the end hit the spot for us!
