I just wanted to share how grateful I am for all the staff at Arkansas Dermatology…read more I have been going to this clinic for years and Annaleigh Harper has maintained a professional and kind attitude with every visit. Upon my last visit in May, I noted a new addition to their team. Mr. Chris, at the Check-in window. He greeted me warmly and handled all my paperwork in a respectful and cheerful manner. I watched as he spoke kindly and respectfully, to every person that entered into the Clinic. Every patient was welcomed with a kind smile. Very nice!

I called and they had appointments available for the next few days, but told me the BCBS website was down so they could not schedule the appointment until it was back up so they could verify I had Insurance. They called a couple of hours later and said the website was back up and they could get me in almost a month from now because those appointments are all taken. So their policy that states they could not schedule without proof of active insurance has now made it to where I cannot get in to be seen for a month ( my insurance was active and I am a current patient). I think that this practice of not at least holding the appointment for at least a day to see if a website comes up, just shows the amount of callousness and fear of not getting paid, has taken over the health industry. This sickens me because now I have to start over and find another dermatologist group to continue my care. Who knows how many months that will be. Thank you so much for your concern for you patients Arkansas Dermatology of North Littlerock

There were 2 people already seated, so I imagine they were early also. Just b4 1, 8 more people arrived and checked in. At 1:01, doctor assistants came forward and began calling names. Cool, things are moving fast. By 1:10, the entire room was empty and we were still sitting. Huh? Then, several of those people began coming out. Their appt was over? Then two more came out. By this time, another person came into the office and checked in? it was 1:20. Two minutes later, the person who just checked in was called back. Needless to say that by this time, she and I were just over it. About 5 minutes later, after the room was empty (again), she was finally called back. Second, we have been to this place before but it has been some years now and they may have had some real challenges with certain cultures and handled it the way they handled it. Yet some situations are self-induced due to an adverse response to those past challenges which have not been overcome...especially with today's climate. Not a good experience comcerning the front desk, at least not during this visit. Yet my wife says her visit with the doctor was exceptional!!

I had a great experience here getting a facial recently. This practice is affiliated with a medical…read moreclinic, but it is NOT like coming to a doctor's office. I will definitely return to Laura and Advanced Aesthetics when it's time for another facial. Advanced Aesthetics is on the 5th floor of the Hickingbotham Outpatient building on the campus of Baptist Medical Center. The brochure says they offer free valet parking, but I just self-parked for free on the adjoining lot. There are signs in the lobby and on the 5th floor specifically directing you to Advanced Aesthetics, which I appreciated, never having been here before. I also have never had a facial before, so while I do not have anything with which to compare this experience, I was thoroughly pleased with the whole process, and specifically with the results. When I arrived, the woman at the desk, Vicki, immediately got me seated with some cucumber water to sip, and I waited less than a few minutes for my appointment to begin, even though I was a little early. I have known the licensed aesthetician who did my facial, Laura, for several years, mostly through Facebook, which is how I came to book this appointment. The facial room is like a massage room, with soothing music, a small fountain, a comfortable, warm bed and dim lighting. I put on the little strapless towel "top" that snaps across the top and got under the covers. Laura massaged my hands and arms below the elbow with a great-smelling lotion and then put heated gloves on my hands. They stayed like this throughout the facial. Regarding facials, the Website reads: "Customized treatments based on your skin's needs to rehydrate and revitalize your skin... Beginning with a European massage then followed by a hydrating steam therapy, deep pore cleansing, sterile extractions (if necessary), and a mask chosen for your skin type." She did a great massage on my head, neck and shoulders that was amazing! Laura and I chatted about many things, running, cooking, traveling, dogs, etc., but she also told me what she was doing and what the purpose of it was (I was so chill, I can't remember much of what she said!), and she also commented on what would be beneficial to my skin, what I should watch out for, etc., which was all very helpful. During the mask, she left me alone for awhile, and I had that same feeling you get during a massage: a kind of lucid unconsciousness. When the facial was finished (I never wanted it to end!), she took me for a Visia photo, which they do for new clients. The camera takes a photo of your skin and analyzes it for wrinkles, UV spots, age spots, red areas, texture, pore size, etc. This was interesting as you could really examine your skin for issues and ways to improve. Of course, they had some treatment suggestions for me, including IPL treatments to lessen sun-damage. My facial with Laura was $85, which I think was an hour-long treatment, although with the Visia photography, I was there at least an hour and 15 minutes. Because this is a clinic, there seems to be no expectation to tip, as there was no line on the credit card and I didn't see any box for leaving tips. Vicki talked to me about some alternative treatments, and Laura gave me some samples of products for me to try. I have to say, I would never want to go to have a facial with someone whose skin wasn't beautiful and who didn't look healthy and glowing. Laura does! I felt completely comfortable turning myself over to her care. My skin looked and felt great for days and days!
