After meeting with her I spoke with the very nice ladies at the front desk who scheduled my vasectomy and got my insurance info all set. A lot of vasectomies must be performed here because it was like 6 weeks before my actual procedure. So the day of I took my xanax pill (I was prescribed) an hour before my appointment and then I had my wifey drop me off. I checked in and was taken back to the room. By this time the medicine must have really kicked in because I actually fell asleep on the table lol. Dr. Marotte who was performing woke me up and said that they were ready to begin. He was really nice and explained what he was doing and we chit chatted a bit. He also played some jams and in like maybe 10-15 minutes he was done. After wards I had my wife pick me up and we went to the pharmacy to grab my pain meds and went home to rest. I stayed in bed for 2 days and was able to go to work on the 3rd. I was still pretty sore but it wasn't too bad. It's been about a month since my vasectomy and everything looks and feels good I'm glad I came here to Dr. Marotte and his team at Conway Urology!

As procedure day approached, I was still going a little NUTS, but who wouldn't? He graciously prescribed Xanax which I took prior to the ordeal. Even while I was on the slab, I kept asking him what he surely thought were annoying questions but he never once got TESTE with me. Yeah, I felt a little pinch in the scrotal region, and was prepared for the worst but in the end thankfully never got the SHAFT. The drugs had me high as a blimp and my neighbor Gary noticed a pleasant contrast in me that afternoon versus my normal high-strung and uptight self. Looking back, what do you know, I was in general VAStly inDEFERENt to the pain. Plus, I still have the rest of my bottle of narcotics to look forward to over the holiday weekend. I will definitely be seeing Kilambi for all my future male sterilization needs. I'm thinking of going back for a reversal before my new deductible kicks in just so I can do this all over again. In all seriousness, Kilambi is a good dude with great bedside manner, doesn't dick around, very efficient at what he does, and is possibly the coolest doctor I've met. If you want a pleasant urologist that is a straight shooter, Kilambi's your guy. (I'm a straight shooter too, although I hope to be shooting blanks in 12-14 weeks.)

He is extremely curt, rudely dismissive, and literally couldn't care less about what pain you're in. I felt like I was wasting his time and wasn't important as a patient. I waited over an hour and a half in the waiting room only to get 5 minutes and a high copay. I wouldn't have had anything checked if I hadn't advocated for myself. In short, find a better urologist.
