Large parking lot and another small space for another business ( currently empty) attached. Could be a place for coffee or bakery, or maybe dry cleaner. So hopefully someone will rent it soon to ad an additional convenience for those of us who live in the neighborhood.

I was under the impression from first receipt that I already paid 30.00. - 25.00 for gas and 5.00 for lottery. So thinking it's all good, they went back under my card and charged me 5. 00 and took my 25.00 has away. I do not go here often, I rarely by lotto, it was your job to let me know what the pay was, I was more than willing to for lotto. I was just asking for proof that you refunded my money back to my card. See ppl. It's really ok to communicate with your mouth, words ya know. Customer service and language cause barriers. I have every right to know that MY MONEY was put back on my account. No where on the receipt showed that as other times, most of the time shows credit back.

It's pretty well known that Wawa only recently entered the Indiana market. What started as a New Jersey iron foundry in 1803, became a dairy processing plant in 1902, and then opened as a food market in 1964, is now a 750-strong chain of convenience stores with a strong presence in six states and a growing presence in others (including Indiana). Why is Wawa beloved? friendly employees. One-stop shopping for gas, coffee, and food. While this was really within the first 24 hours of being open, it was noticeably clean and I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was. Wawa offers fuel and EV charging. Wawa has a stunning amount of coffee options and I definitely tried their refreshers/rechargers. Dragon Burst is an absolute winner. Wawa has breakfast, lunch, and dinner options and the menu is surprisingly comprehensive. You can get a biscuit sandwich starting at $2.49 - lower than a ton of fast food joints (I'm looking at you, Hardee's). While gas stations/convenience stores are often known for their unhealthy foods, Wawa has quite a few healthy options. There's also a lot of baked goods - donuts, brownies, muffins, and even soft pretzels. I tried the donuts. Yum. I was pleased with accessibility features. I also noticed an accessibility statement on their website that I found pleasing. This was a first visit and it was unexpected. So, no photos. I was rushing to a conference and primarily looking for a snack and directions. I received both from friendly employees in a warm, winning, clean, and welcoming atmosphere. I don't go to Plainfield a ton, however, there's no doubt I'd stop back here when I'm in the area. I went inside to pay and all I could smell was that really good Indian incense. You know the one I'm talking about? I know this because it's my favorite! Sam was the clerk and he was super friendly to me. We spoke for a few moments about the market I had just come from and he told about a few different events that happen in the neighborhood. He also shared that his family had had businesses there since 2003. Once there used to be a motorcycle shop and it had closed so they purchased the building and now have the neighborhood gas station. I love learning about local businesses. More often than not I find business owners originate from other countries and move here for the hope of better lives. Clark Gas Station is one of these businesses. On a busy corner at Hamilton and 10th, just across from the Boner Community Center, it seems to cater to the very poor. Sure, it is a convenience store and gas station. But the pricing of items seems exploitative considering the low income of most persons who visit the place. Last week I needed two cans of cream of mushroom soup. I was making a recipe and couldn't stop long enough to get to a serious grocery store. So, ok, why not use the trusty old convenience store for something else except gas? I did buy two cans of Campbells cream of mushroom soup for $2.49 per can. Yikes! That seems to me exploitative and a case of price gouging. Today I checked at my Marsh grocery store at Lockerbee. The price per can was $1.69. If I had wanted a generic can of the same soup I would have paid only $1.19 per can-- a difference of $1.30 for each can I bought. If you care about food justice and basic economic fairness, do as I am doing and refuse to give your business to Clark, for food or for anything else.

The nice woman behind the counter helped me choose (they were buy one, get one free)! So I chose one egg and cheese, and one spinach and cheese. They were warmed in an oven while I went to grab a coffee and use the restroom, which was very clean and well-stocked. Pro tip: if you want a latte or another specialty coffee, order at the counter. If you want to make your own, go to the coffee bar. It's less expensive, plus they have a variety of sweeteners, Torani syrups, and assorted creamers (including plant-based). The cash register employee let me know when they were ready to go, and my grand total was less than $6. I picked up a few hot sauce packets from the condiment bar and sat down in the dining area to eat. The kolache itself is essentially a small, light sandwich. The bread was soft, with a hint of sweetness. The egg and cheese combo was perfect for my light lunch! I had a bite of the spinach and cheese kolache before I left, which was even more flavorful and cheesy! Can't wait to have it tomorrow morning. BUT I just happened be driving from Indy to Greenfield when this Wawa appeared in the distance and of course I had to pull over. For made to order food items, you put in your order on a screen and a little ticket prints out. Then you go pay at the cashier or self-checkout and come back to wait for your food. I opted for a an iced Carmel macchiato and a bagel with cream cheese. My brother tried the French toast breakfast sandwich. Everything was delicious. I'm glad I heard them announcing to another customer how it works since I'm not sure I would've figured that out on my own. When your order is ready, they'll call out your number. The coffee did come from a different side than the food so you may have to wait at both stations. It was super clean and well organized. There was plenty of parking between the front and the back of the building. But, we noticed there wasn't any seating inside or outside. I didn't interact with employees much since I ordered at the screen and did self checkout, but they were friendly and did a good job explaining how the process worked when making announcements.
