Battle Creek's number one rehabilitation center. I have been a patient for several injuries over the years. The staff from Sherry and Ahsley who take care of scheduling and the therapy staff are very professional. They care for each patient from the beginning to the end of treatment. My experience with Dr. Bob and Terri my therapy team has given me the treatment and exercises that has allowed me to have a full recovery from a broken ankle. The facility is very clean and open when you are a patient you even begin to interact with the other clients many of whom are working toward recovery of many different types of surgeries or injuries. It actually becomes a time that you look forward to your session. If you are looking for a great facility and a caring and competent staff for your recovery please call to make an appointment. Part of my job responsibility is to evaluate the clinical performance of healthcare workers. I can tell you that Dr. Essex is a consummate professional! He has great bedside manner, ensures your comfort, is very thorough, and is dedicated to finding solutions. In just six visits, Dr. Essex corrected my functional leg length discrepancy and I was able to remove the lift that I'd had in my shoe for over a year. He was also able to reverse a three week long headache and restore full range of motion in my neck! Established in 1998.

Muscle & Spine Rehabilitation Center was founded by Dr. Essex in 1998 as an independently owned and operated, community based, community focused, Physical Therapy Clinic. In 2024, Muscle & Spine Rehabilitation rebranded to be part of the Armor Physical Therapy family. This change marks a major step in our dedication to offering the best physical therapy care available. For our existing patients, nothing for you should change. You will still be able to visit the same clinic and work with the same physical therapists. We're excited about what this means for our future and the additional ways we can support your healing and rehabilitation.

Meet the Business Owner: Robert E.

Dr Essex received his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Andrews University, and his Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Montana. He is a board certified clinical specialist in orthopedics.

Once again Dr. Bogan always tries to fix the situation, but the staff should not be working in healthcare. Today, I will speak with a Lawyer and file charges against them because, why am I being targeted? Is it because of the color of my skin or it because of my weight. I am a nurse myself and I am appalled by the experience and lack of compassion. I had a meeting with the office Manager Rebecca and Barb, and this problem still continues. The insurance has faxed the authorization and all my colleagues who are on Zepbound have not experienced this.
