Imagine my distress, now, being told I needed a Root Canal!! I was *so* upset, I put it off for two years. The only other time I had a root canal, I had to have gas (very hard for the endodontist to work under these conditions) and I needed a friend in the room with me, holding my hand the entire time. ENDODONTICS OF MICHIANA: WHAT A DIFFERENCE! WHAT A RELIEF! WHAT A GREAT DOCTOR! I was amazed to find such an excellent endodondist/dentist like Dr. Bradley Swanson!! He was calm, reassuring, and totally professional. He took time, explained everything, and was simply GREAT. BEYOND GREAT! It was an easy procedure. It didn't hurt much at all. Dr. Swanson's Assistant, Christina, was also very personable, warm, and reassuring. This endodontist was not able to perform the root canal because he was not able to get me numb and just gave up. Having had this experience on top of my dental anxiety I was terrified coming into Dr. Swanson's office. Dr. Swanson and his team were thourough in all aspects of my visit. They made me feel comfortable (music playing in the exam room!) and fully explained everything they were going to do and again as they did it. Again I had a very difficult time getting numb but Dr. Swanson was incredibly patient and persistent until I couldn't feel a thing. Took about 4 trys but he finally got there! The procedure was quick, painfree, and I left the office much more comfortable than I came in. He also prescribed some pain medicine for the few days following the procedure when the tooth is sensitive. If you need any type of endodontic therapy go see Dr. Swanson! My only wish is he did other dental work so I could see him for all my teeth needs!

I was amazed how easy the procedure was - it was done before I knew it. I think because of his decades of experience, he is the best around. I don't do many reviews, but I thought he deserved a fantastic one. Lastly, I had an issue with my insurance company, and he and his staff personally got involved to reduce my cost by hundreds of dollars. They sent personalized letters to the insurance company and provided all of the documents needed to pay for the procedure. That is great customer service from the beginning to the end!!!

I made the decision which was both time consuming and financially impactful to switch Orthodontists 6 months into treatment with the other said office (the investment financially would not be refunded, as well as time being that their office is very close to me and Dr. Thomas is a 20 min drive each way). Even my first consult with Dr. Thomas made me feel at ease with his office. He was both kind and empathetic to the situation I was coming from. I had a long road ahead and seeing the difference from office to office I now know what great hands I am in. We removed the braces from the previous office, allowed my teeth to stabilize and then started completely over. Dr. Thomas takes his time and really puts all that he has into his patients and ensuring their smile and end goals are clear and articulated in a way that I could understand. Now, being well into my treatment with this office I couldn't recommend them more. Many dental…read moreprocedures later, I'm caught up on my dental work and no longer anxious about going to the dentist's. Dr. Miller and his staff are so friendly and fun. I knew coming in that I had a LOT of work to be done, and was so relieved that Dr. Miller wasn't tsk-tsking me about not going in sooner. He just told me about the extent of the damage, and discussed the work that needed to be done without any shaming or judgment. Another great thing about his office is that he's very willing to work with your schedule (he was about to schedule me for an appointment during his lunch time!). One thing that needs some updating is his billing system though because it's very confusing to understand. I'll make a payment at the office, but then I'd get a bill to my house. When I brought the bill into the office to pay, the receptionist said that I should wait "until the end" to settle the account. What does that even mean? If I didn't need to pay, why was I billed? Oh, well. It's a small matter given how awesome everything else is.

I offered to come sit in the waiting room hoping they could find 5 minutes between appointments to take a look. But sadly the staff would not help me short of making an appointment for the end of that day. I went right to Aspen Dental in Benton Harbor, they did not know me but had me in a chair within 20 minutes of walking in the door. Aspen took immediate action and probably saved my life. I still ended up being hospitalized for 4 days and according to the doctors, my dental emergency that would have killed me was likely a result of recent work I had done at Dr. Millers office.

I waited to be fitted in for about 90 minutes. They took the circular x-ray, and couple of others once in the chair. They went over what had to be done. They were kind, sympathetic, and the tech even let me squeeze her hand as the tooth was bring pulled. The crack was long and deep as the x-ray showed. Dr. Paige was wonderful as were Ali and Renatta (sp). I also knew what I had to pay before it all really began and offered the payment plan if needed. I called and receptionist and she was very rude and said she was contacted awhile back and was told to cancel the appointments which did not happen. Not surprised tho. The business is a money maker with little to no customer appreciation and as the customer I've always felt like an inconvenience. 0 stars.
