My husband and I have used John Arnone now three times to update our home and to add an addition for a new master bedroom. Every time, John came out to survey the area under discussion. He spent time to measure the spaces and to explain what we might be able to do. In those meetings, John explored the costs of every option on the table. He has always gone over the code requirements. This has helped us to understand why certain plans were going to work or not. John Arnone has always been a good listener. He has also been prompt to deliver proposed layouts. Arnone Building was one of many contractors we had stop by for an estimate on a structural repair to our garage room. He was the only one who actually stopped and listened to what we needed. He came up with a solution that not only saved the unique design of our roof, but one the the local building officals and a structural engineer ageed to. He was honest and very fairly priced. His contract was professional and easy to understand, we felt comfortable moving forward. The project began on time - but more importantly was completed on time. He and his assistant were on the job every day on time, all work was completed according to the contract. They cleaned up every day after completion of the daily activities, an act that we truly appreciated. John had to address an issue that arose on day 1 - that could have potentially derailed the whole project. But he handled the issue professionally, contacting the structural engineer, and they worked up a solution they both felt comfortable with. Are we satisfied - yes. It has been said that true customer satisfaction is not demonstrated at the end of the project, but at the beginning of another. We hired John Arnone to rebuild our deck and can say that from the start, we knew he was the right choice to work with us. He impressed us from our very first meeting with his incredible attention to detail. John took the time to walk through exactly what the project would entail and where he would pay particular attention to be sure our deck was up to code. And best of all, John's price for the work was extremely reasonable. Once the job started, he kept us informed along the way of his schedule and what he would be doing on a particular day. Although the deck took a while to complete due to the delay in getting materials, John did exactly what he said he would and our deck came out beautiful. The deck is big (27x14) and John designed it in such a way that there are no seams and no screw holes. It's extremely sturdy and very well anchored to the ground and to the house. The finished work was meticulously done and everyone that has seen it is amazed at the level of quality. We cannot thank John enough for all of his efforts and for the beautiful deck he has created for us. We hired John three years ago to remodel a bathroom, installing tile, a new vanity, sink and countertop, and a linen closet. He designed the closet, making a former wasted space a useful storage unit. We were so pleased with the results of that job, that we did not hesitate to call him again. This project was to update a mudroom to prepare for having a custom closet system installed. John was meticulous in his measurements, making sure that the closet installation would fit exactly over the new floor, and that the doors to the outside and inside would clear.
