I have never been to a salt cave before so this was a unique experience for me. I called and…read moretalked to Wendy before coming and asked her some questions to prepare for my experience. This salt spa uses the MindBody app so you can book your session on there. There are quiet sessions, casual sessions (with more light to read magazines and have light chatter), salty lunch (short time on a lunch break), salty kids (a children's session), and yoga on Wednesday nights. The spa is open every day except Tuesdays, so I came in on Sunday to try it out in the afternoon. It is $30 for a 45 minute session. Wendy greeted me and showed me around. In the salt room, there are Himalayan salt rocks on the ground like a beach, beach chairs, blankets, and cool salt decor on the walls. Wendy put on Tibetan music and told me how the fine salt would come out of the sconce in the wall for 45 minutes. I was by myself for this casual session, and mostly rested on a blanket on the salt beach. It was very relaxing. I think it would be fun to come back with Eric R., and he might like the yoga in the salt room too. After my session, I spoke more with Wendy and her husband Scott. She explained the benefits of salt therapy and why they opened the first salt room in the state of Kansas. It is a really cool place to have in our little city.
