The range is huge, with tons of targets to aim at, and the grass is well-kept. There are different bucket sizes to choose from, and the prices are very reasonable. The chipping green looks awesome too. Every time I've been there, it's had a friendly, family vibe--and it's a place where women feel welcome too.

I'm in love with this club, let's list the love shall we!? -…read morelove the practice putting green, pure! - love the simple, classic clubhouse and locker room. - love the course layout, wandering throughout the hilly terrain requiring you to play from many many different lies. - love the bunkering, some frame tee shots well, but all play sublime! - love the feel of the course, nothing says look at me, but it's hard to look away. - love the short game area, wish I had that at my course. - love the finishing hole, reminds me of pine valley #2 mixed with bethpage black #18 with the uphill all the way. I only came up with one negative, our group required a forecaddy which is usually a benefit, ours never quite grasped the length of the games of our group and routinely gave very incorrect reads on the greens. Furthermore, the lack of guidance from the tee from him meant we used our laser devices to figure distances from the tees to the various bunkers, trees, etc as opposed to being guided by our caddy. We weren't accompanied by a member, so maybe he was learning the ropes with us but he seemed a senior caddy and overall that part of the experience was disappointing.

A great mix of long and shorter holes and the greens are superbly contoured and offer great rewards when you know where to hit the ball! They were rolling very fast when we started play but they did seem to slow up noticeably as our round progressed which was probably due to the excessive heat we had when we played. Tees, fairways, rough are all clearly defined and in perfect condition. Rarely are you set up with a completely blind shot and the rough is accordingly penal when you get very wild off the tee. Bunkers are all pretty even and maintained very well by the staff and caddies, nothing like ending up in someone else's Unraked bunker, that doesn't happen here. Speaking of caddies, ours was professional very friendly but took a few holes to get the hang of the distances we hit the ball but once he did he was dialed in. Not sure if it's club policy but as a forcaddy, he carried around everyone's putter without headcovers. I can't do that as dings don't settle well with me so he kept the cover on mine. The food in the restaurant was very good and the waitstaff was really attentive, it's definitely a 5 star club and one worth playing over and over again!

There's a really nice seating area where you can watch the three courts down below or watch tennis on TV (it was Indian Wells so there was that tournament on.) I've been wanting to play Radnor Valley ever since my round across the street at Overbrook this…read morespring. The area is gorgeous and the course was just as stunning as the setting. The course is a classic design for the western phila burbs, with tight fairways smallish greens and everything flows through the land as it was. Going off of 1 really sets the tone of what's to come, the tee ball will be important but that second shot will make or break your day. The fairways early on are filled with slopes. Downhill, sidehill, uphill lies test your iron repertoire as the greens are fast and offer loads of break. Putting from above the hole is not recommended nor are those 20' breaking side hill putts. The members will guide you to the correct areas to Putt from. Flipping to the back 9 the course flattens out and the greens become a little flatter, because they aren't on hill sides. They are still challenging to putt but more manageable to control roll out. Conditioning of the course is on par with the best in the area. Tees are immaculate, greens are perfect with a true roll on all 18. The bunkers are extremely playable and the fairways are clearly defined and perfectly maintained. I loved my round at Radnor and even though I played it off season I hope to come back in the season and get to enjoy it at full pace and grab a bite to eat too!

The view from the banquet room is amazing & you can even stand outside on the balcony to enjoy a drink while watching the golfers on the putting green, which we did for a while. The food was buffet-style and everything I had was delicious - I especially loved their tomato soup and I went back up for a second bowl even I also cleaned my very full plate. A good bloody mary can be hard to find, but mine was excellent. The staff was friendly & accommodating - they set up a photo slideshow for us and were accommodating to the energetic kids we had in tow, bringing high chairs and even shirley temples.

Greens were not puttable, large sand gaps all over, not even. Holes were clearly placed to avoid poor portions of the surface and make no sense, frequently put on bad angles and within feet of the fringe. Priced poorly-$45 with a cart? $50 on the weekend? Also the cart paths were destroyed. You couldn't have paid me $45 to play this course again.

Just not a good experience…read more This place acts like it's some elite country club, when it isn't, that doesn't like people playing golf on their...golf course. It's a nice course, challenging, well-kept. Staff was just rude all around and clearly don't like their jobs that interact with people. Ranger told us to hurry up and apparently gave us an unprofessional response when we were on pace to play 5 holes in an hour. His reasoning was that there was an empty hole in front of us. I didn't hear it all but my friends seemed annoyed at him. We WERE playing on pace. The cart girl either messed up the math or took her own tip out of my cash. She told me one price but then gave me less change. Needless to say I didn't tip her well. The lesson is that you either need to do better math or be honest with your customers. After the round in the parking lot, the ranger asked me if I was done with my golf cart when I was unloading it into my car. I told him that there is probably stuff left in it, aka, I need to double check and please leave me alone for a minute until I'm done. The guy checked my cart, said something that I couldn't hear, and took my cart anyway. I have no idea if it was empty or not. I at least had my wallet, cell phone and keys, but don't know about golf balls and stuff. Like, why the hurry and why can't you respect the fact that I need to check my cart?! We went inside to see about getting some food. We asked if there was anything available outside, because it has an outdoor patio on the 18th green. I would think many people would want to sit out there. The hostess said there weren't any tables. Oh wait, there is 1 4-top. We would've been fine with it even though we had 5. She wouldn't let us and sat us inside with loud music and horrible acoustics. You had to scream across the table to communicate. We asked the waitress if we could sit outside and she said no with an attitude saying "we're really busy tonight." We looked around and there were a decent amount of empty tables and more than 1 outside that they could've put together for us. We continued to sit inside, which sucked. They served us soda and water in plastic cups. When it came time for a refill, the waitress took all our cups back so she could fill them back up, instead of getting new ones. I was drinking the rest of mine when she was collecting the cups, she waited for a sec so she could take mine, but then realized it so she said "I'll just get you a new one". She was moving so fast she had a one-track mind. Just not great service. The menu said that they don't have cheesesteaks on Friday's and Saturday's (or something like that). Odd. Menu also said it had "free-flowing pizza". We had no idea what that meant so we asked her. Apparently that means that when the pizza is cooked, that's when you get it regardless of where you are at in the meal. Weird. My friend ordered it...they didn't have any. So no pizza on the menu?! What bar doesn't have pizza when pizza is on the menu? We all ordered individual sandwiches: fried chicken sandwich, Landis Ave cutlet sandwich, salmon sandwich. All were good, fries were good. The waitress wanted to clear our table so she did, regardless if we weren't finished. My friend had to grab a handful of fries because he saw that she was going to take it away. She comes back and puts down the check saying, "no rush". We laughed because she clearly was rushing us and could care less about us. Restaurant was mainly middle aged couples in their 40s-50s, not very good looking. My friend was here before and there were swingers at the bar holding each other's wives' asses. Strange place. Just a rude, weird place that didn't make you feel welcome. What a shame. Do better, staff!
