We received nice big portions of fried clams, scallops, shrimp, and fish, along with some very nice French fries. The tarter sauce was tangy and wonderful, which made the seafood gloriously good, and that made me so happy. My belly felt full and satisfied, and I felt glad to be alive. This place is nestled in the mountains of Maine, and the food was delightful enough to climb a mountain for again. I hope to return someday.

It's family owned and run, stories are told about the family history which just makes the lodge even more special. They go above and beyond to make your stay the best possible. Our friends had the same thing happen on the same date / different room. After multiple calls, we found out that Amid had canceled our reservations. Hotel refused to offer us a room. Then they failed to provide a refund. IMO, this hotel is shady, and would avoid. A google search reveals lots of skepticism about providing credit card information - so we're not the first to get burned.
