Architekton has been a staple in the Tempe community for over 20 years and is owned by 4 local architects, most of whom graduated from ASU's school of Architecture. They have a large team of employees and are one of the few architecture firms who have avoided layoffs during these rough economic times. For examples of what they've done you can go to their website or just drive by the Tempe Center for the Arts off of Rio Salado right on the Tempe Town Lake. Or the new Tempe Transit Center next door to ASU's football stadium. These are just two of their latest and greatest en devours. They are a quality company that is also always giving back to the community that has given them so much. They have been volunteering at Tempe Cares since it's inception in 1991as well as donating time and money to countless other charitable organizations. If I ever need a building designed or have enough money to build a custom home I will be hiring them to do the designs.

And then asks questions BEFORE jumping in with her suggestions. END RESULT: She gave me much more than I expected. She not only told me what to take out, what to leave in and where to place furniture, art and knick knacks, but she also made some very concrete suggestions on additional items that could be done for little to no cost. And one final note, she always keeps the cost in mind and does her best to maximize her client's investment. It has tall, north-facing windows, so plenty of sunlight during the day with little direct sun. It didn't take her long to come up with a sort of light beige color with a mocha carpet combination. That didn't sound like great colors to me (we were thinking more colorful, etc.), however she promised it would be just right for workshops. She was right. Once I painted and put the carpet in, it had a very calming influence without reducing energy. It's been perfect for our workshops and other meetings. We added a little splash, at her suggestion, with some furniture. If you are doing any kind of project that requires color selection, hire Chris! You'll be so glad that you did.

She goes on to give us her opinion on what we can do and at times looked like she wasnt sure. I had to remind her all i wanted was a 3d rendering. She finally takes the measurements ánd tells me ill give it to my guy that charges 30 an hour. Another red flag. Finally get the quote and this person needs 35 hours of work at 25 an hour. I dont need movie quality.
