As you can tell from the picture, they used the smallest pepper possible and being that plantains, beans and rice are so cheap I don't know how they can justify 80 pesos. We liked the baked tortilla chips (which was a much healthier option than fried tortilla chips) and the four small slices of chewy sourdough bread but did not like the sauce at all which my partner also wasn't a big fan of. The peanut soup was good and I enjoyed the peanuts with the peas ... it was unique and the process for that was actually more reasonable at 50 pesos. It could have used more spices however!! The waitresses looked so miserable and seemed annoyed at the customers ... the food actually tastes better if you ignore them. There are many vegetarian options in Oaxaca so I would recommend going somewhere else!

The taquitos dorados de mole negro ($140) were okay; there was no meat just in case you were wondering. The aguachile rojo de camaron ($190) were good. The esquite con tuetano ($100) was not like a typical corn in a cup but it was closer to a corn soup. For drinks I had the pequeño gigante ($210) which was good.
