I started going to Arrichion in April of 2024 as a guest of a friend from work. She had mentioned loving her yoga studio and I was interested in joining a class based gym rather than continuing my YMCA membership. I would say I was a true beginner at yoga when I joined with very limited knowledge of yogi terminology and definitely not familiar with heated yoga. I started with Topaz class which I would consider a foundational class. Once I became confident/comfortable with the heat and teaching style from Topaz, I began to branch out to the other yoga classes like Diamond, Krystallos, Black Opal, and Bloodstone. Diamond is one of my favorites - it's super dark in the yoga room with candlelight and the flow is very slow. Black Opal is a fun class if you want to try fun poses like wheel or headstand/crow. Bloodstone and Krystallos are true workouts - hydrate before!!! I attended Arrichion for a whole year without trying the circuit training side of the gym but finally gave it a shot during the Athena challenge in May of 2025. My favorite circuit class is Warrior and is different every class. If you're nervous to try the circuit side, bring a friend and come a few minutes early and take some time to look at the TVs above the line of treadmills! There are video clips of what you'll be doing so nothing will be a "surprise" once class gets started. The teachers are very approachable during class and I feel able to ask questions easily no matter who is guiding that day. Around the same time I started trying the circuit side, I began booking private sessions with Jenna who is one of the owners of the studio. I attend with the friend who originally recommended Arrichion to me and our private sessions have helped us both become more confident yogis. Jenna makes unique flows tailored to what we want to work on and even takes our music recommendations to add in. I learned how to hold a headstand within 2 private sessions which was shocking considering I was a complete newbie only a year prior. The recovery options available just make the gym that much more loveable. I use the sauna at least once a week and occasionally brave the cold-plunge (worth it, just scary to get into it at first). The red light meditation room will 100% make you want to take a nap and is nice to do pre-class. This membership is 100% worth it, not only for my health but for the community and fun being a member brings. I am an unlimited monthly member and pay for the membership with my HSA account through benefits at work which the studio helped me figure out how to set up. I circled around the building to find another entrance but apparently all the entrances were locked. No one has answered the phone either. I'm very new into practicing and have found this studio to be great in guiding on what the poses are and assisting to a deeper stretch. Hot yoga and circuit training workout facility with plenty of time and workout options! Also, there are freeze pops given out after the workout! The parking lot is decent size, but pro tip: back into parking spots and park close to the exit just in case. I came here with 10 free classes from an auction I won and wanted to try out the different options offered. I do yoga and barre pretty regularly and was an athlete in high school, just as a reference for level of experience going in. Here are my personal experiences on some of the class options: Topaz-Very easy. Relaxing and good stretch and sweat. Krystallos-Medium/light difficulty. Don't pick a spot to the right near the side door-weird cool breeze and noisy outside with construction. Bloodstone-Make sure to have a space between you and a partner. Loved this one! Warrior poses in a fast pace pattern. Tiger's Eye-Intimidating if it is your first time. Ask the instructors/let them know it's first time. Start by checking in and placing your mat and towel in the yoga room. Then head to the circuit room and pick a starting point (the white arrichion papers label each exercise/area). You won't make it all the way around, so don't be too scared! Follow the person in front of you or ask to follow an experienced person. The circuit training isn't too difficult at only 20 min, but it does kick your butt going back to back and not knowing what is coming next the first time. After this, you head to the yoga room, take your shoes off and begin a warrior/vinyasa flow for 20 min. The flow is fast paced and you don't spend a lot of time in each pose and go with your breaths. read more

If you are looking for a hot yoga studio in Charlotte, definitely try out Arrichion. I have done a couple hot yoga classes in the past, but this is probably the hottest I've done. I discovered them via Groupon and decided to give them a try. I'm looking forward to using the rest of my pass for classes before actually making a commitment. The sign up was easy and quick when I got there and got a quick walk through of everything before class started. I haven't been in a class to utilize the circuit room yet, but it is a good size room for a class to do a workout with the equipment they have also. The yoga room isn't spacious, so I would suggest being comfortable with having someone in your space as I was in a full class. Hooooooooot. Arrichion isn't kidding when they said this was HOT yoga. 102 degrees hot (for some classes). I was originally intrigued by Arrichion's studio when I saw their card dropped into my mailbox. Since I live only a block away, as soon as I saw the Living Social deal ($20 for 20 classes within 2 months), I jumped on it. Inside, Arrichion is a sweet, well put together yoga and martial arts studio (two separate rooms). Since it's in South End among a handful of industrial like buildings, there should be plenty of parking nearby. And how about the classes? I went to Arrichion's first Saturday morning class (after the LS deal was announced) and oh my it was crowded. And hot. Did I mention it was hot? Pile in more than 50 people and you have a sweaty yoga party. But the instruction was spot on - quickly moving through the repetitive poses you won't have too much time to ponder how toasty you are while in warrior I or downward facing dog. A few things to remember when stopping by Arrichion: 1) If you are heading there for hot yoga, bring a mat and a long towel so you don't slip all over. 2) They offer a variety of hot yoga class types, martial arts and a mixed class of cross training and yoga (named Warrior), 3) Be prepared to sweat. I know I mentioned this plenty of times already, but with the super hot room, the (potentially) packed house and the challenging and fulfilling workout you will be gleaming! Arrichion Hot Yoga has now opened their 2nd NC facility! YAY! Now, when I travel to Charlotte, I can still get in some hot yoga with the Arrichion team! If you're familiar with their Raleigh facility, which is fantastic, you will not be let down with the new location, which is equally as nice. Also, as you might guess, all of the instructors are well trained and professional, and they really give you a great workout! If you're relatively new to hot yoga and/or have only tried Bikram hot yoga, the classes are about 1 hour (I think Bikram is usually 1 and 1/2 hours, which is too much of a time commitment for me). There are a number of different class formats to try at Arrichion so you never get bored with your workout. That is, the classes are of varying lengths and feature a variety of different types of yoga moves. Hot yoga is a great workout, and the format is more motivating for me than other fitness programs I've tried. I'd definitely recommend Arrichion if you want to experience the benefits of yoga... or even if you're experienced with traditional yoga but want to find out what hot yoga's all about. read more

Finally.. Hot Yoga since I left Cali! I signed up for the $20 for 20 days of unlimited yoga (you get 10% off that deal online). I actually paid $18 for the 20 days, not a bad trial considering 1 class is $15 normally. All the instructors are very encouraging and friendly. The Charlotte location is a smaller studio with a circuit room and a heated yoga room. There is also a shower and changing rooms if needed. I hope they move to a larger location or open up more classes during the day, I feel like there are people signing up for a deal or membership every time I go in. Parking can get crazy after work hours, I have heard you can park in the lot across the street without getting ticketed. I have tried the following classes: Krystallos: challenging core Pilates (with yoga bits) class. I did not expect to work up the sweat I did. Definitely complements the yoga classes to building good core strength. Topaz: a stretch yoga class focused on standing poses with some sitting. I was a little disappointed with the fact that I did not do one chataranga or any of the warrior poses. I prefer more flow in my practice but its a good beginner class for those new yogis. Bloodstone: a flow yoga class packed with all your warrior stances and a good amount of chatarangas. It focuses on the Sun Salutation, I loved this class. You definitely feel the burn. Its ended with a good ab series as well. I have heard bloodstone + warrior = amazing body, will have to work my way up to it. Black Opal: hip opener! This class also includes a good amount of Sun Salutations and chatarangas. I also enjoyed this class. You'll feel more stretch than burn. You will feel a difference in your energy and strength levels after a couple of weeks of consistently practicing. The post-yoga high you get afterwards feels amazing! read more

I love the unique combination of hot yoga with the circuits classes. The hot yoga is great for a good sweat and I can tell a difference in my flexibility since attending a few of these. Instructors are great at describing all of the poses and walking you through each of the classes, and adjustments as needed. Circuits are great too! HOT HOT HOT! but oh so relieving! I loooove arrichion. I just happened to stumble upon it while I was looking through groupon and I'm so happy that I did! I took hot yoga a few years ago and loved it then, but arrichion has me in love even more! They have a wide variety of classes from beginners classes to challenging classes. They keep the yoga room at about 105 so all of the classes are definitely a challenger because of that factor alone. But try all of them! They are all fun and all leave you feeling awesome afterwards. Make sure to bring a towel and lots of water! They also have cross fit classes which are awesome! I did one for the first time yesterday and boy am I hurting! They are intense and so worth the sweat! I was thinking cross fit at a yoga studio? I'm going to have to do my normal workout when I get home because this can't be that tough, I was wrong! I can barely move today and it's a good pain! Try these all also! I know I can't wait to! The studio itself is really nice and really well kept. It's welcoming and everyone there is really nice. The instructors are helpful and understanding if you need to go at your own pace. The problem with Arrichion like all other chain yoga studios is its about the money not the practice. I'm from out of town but wanted to practice last night. So I come in for a class. I've been out of practice for a few months but figured i could take it slow. The first thing that tells me they're just out for the money: I have to rent a mat. Ok whatever. There are no straps or blocks if you meed the extra assistance. I see other students bringing in their own. Next the room is set up with tape on the floor outlining where to place your mat. Problem is each area is two inches away from the next area. Can you imagine the nightmare thats going to be when youre trying to practice on top of one another. Forget comfort or relaxation. I have to worry about hitting someone else or being hit. Which almost happened right off the bat trying to do an upward salute. Then I almost got kicked in the face doing warrior 3. And then i did get a mans butt all over my head doing a wide leg forward fold. I guess he was squatting. I felt like cattle in that room. I've never left a yoga class more anxious than i went in. There are 3 people walking around. Teaching students, maybe? They were of little help I've never been in a class especially hot yoga that they didn't try to tax your stamina. No downward dog. I HATE downward dog yet I purposely did one last night while they were all doing I dont know. read more

The beginner hot yoga class was veryy good - slow paced, clear direction, hot, good flow music. But the studio itself is not up to ha with the other studios in Charlotte. Holy good gravy does this place you sweat! I've always heard of hot yoga and heard of this place, but I never really came here until I found a Groupon. I bought it, signed up and rang the place up to know exactly what I needed to do. They let me know that I needed to bring a yoga mat, towel to put over the mat and DEFINITELY water. Do not forget water! The parking lot is a good size and you can also parallel park in the street as well. I will be honest and tell you I can't park, so I always show up early to class to make sure I can get a spot. Once you walk in the door, there is someone there to greet you to check you in for the class. The lobby is small, but it feels cozy with people chit chatting in there before and after class. The dressing room for the women is a good size with cubby holes. There are two good sized bathrooms and I believe one shower. The bathrooms are always nice and clean, so kudos for that! There are actually two different rooms for workouts. There is one room that is the hot yoga room that is towards the right when you walk in to the left, there is a workout gym with weights. What I like about the hot yoga room is that there are parking spots for your mat so everyone has a designated place and you don't have to worry if you're in the wrong spot or not. The gym room (I don't really know what name they call it) is pretty cool as there is a matted section for different activities and then a corner for weights. They have classes in there as well as it is super awesome. Every since I came to my first class, I have enjoyed coming here. I mean, I'm getting such a good sweat and getting flexible and toning myself! The people here are great and very nice. The teachers are always understanding for us to go at our own pace and let us know if different options to modify the poses when we're new. If you can, definitely check this place out. Sure, during the hot yoga class you'll be thinking "WHY DID I DO THIS TO MYSELF!?!?! IT'S SO HOT IN HERE!!!," but then once you walk out, you'll feel awesome and proud of yourself for sticking it out. read more

I started going to this studio with a 20 class pass for $20. Despite my criticism of the place and instruction, it remains a good deal and I'm glad that I tried it for yoga. I will complete my class voucher, but will not renew it. I would in no way recommend anyone pay full price for this, and caution anyone from thinking that what is "taught" at this studio is similar to a standard yoga studio, hot or otherwise. The only reason it got two stars instead of one was the price I paid. Studio: The studio is part martial arts and MMA (mixed martial arts, including cage fighting) training and yoga/pilates/circuit training. This means a nice variety of people attend, and you can get a range of experiences. The yoga room has no mirror - big minus in my book - how can you know if you're doing something correctly? Also, they cram up to 50 people in each class, with markers telling people where to put their mats. This allows for up to 2 inches in between each mat. That is VERY tight! Couple this with no mirror and no helpful instruction, and it's not a recipe for one to learn self-awareness or body-awareness. Also, classes fill to capacity quickly (probably due to the low price) and then people are turned away. It's recommended that you arrive 30 minutes early for each class, which means waiting outside in cold weather, and then a dozen at least are turned away. This is not a more time-efficient way of exercising. Temperatures vary a good deal between classes. I've heard the instructors boast about this studio being the "hottest in Charlotte." Hot yoga is between 95-105 generally, with standard Bikram at about 105. I don't know that this studio is hotter than that, but it's certainly drier, meaning my skin sometimes feels burned when I'm near the vents, without the good feeling of sweat. Also, many classes have instructors that will open a door to the outside one to four times in an hour long class (35 degrees some evenings). This is frustrating. Why boast that it's hot when we're then cooled down intermittently through class. It defeats the purpose of a hot practice, and only draws attention to the heat, rather than the practice. Instruction: I've attended two of the hot yoga classes, and the hot pilates. The instruction at this studio is little more than calling out a series of poses or counting through various repetitions. This is not yoga or pilates instruction. Despite the number of people in the room, I've never seen an instructor make a correction or guide the class with any nuance. This is despite the fact that people are doing poses significantly incorrectly, in ways that are harmful. Generally, the instructor will do the practice with the class, or call out the moves. Either way, without room to see the person (generally I can't see who is where given the volume and lack of a mirror), the person doing the poses is practically useless. Also, given how tightly we are all packed in, it is literally impossible to correctly execute moves because of hitting other class members. There is no incorporation of yoga or pilates philosophy. The hot yoga practice is 80% Bikram practice that is shorter, without any of the additional descriptions that make Bikram manageable. The pilates incorporations a good deal of yoga, also without helpful instruction. While what this studio describes on the website is true of a good hot yoga studio, they do very little to follow through on helping people "reach their potential." I started going to Arrichion last fall before their LivingSocial/Groupon deals started going out, and I loved it. The heat, the instructors, the feeling of community - everything. But then...dun dun dun...the dreaded crowds came. Arrichion puts out so many LS/Groupon deals that the studio has gone from popular and well attended to absolutely-jampacked-unpleasant. Every class I've gone to since the late fall has been totally packed. I've waited outside for 30 minutes and gotten turned away because the class is full (on-line sign ups would be VERY helpful at this gym). Also, there is no instruction in the yoga room whatsoever. The workouts definitely left me sweaty and sore, but the monthly fees are way too expensive for the experience. Sorry - I was a lover but have moved on. read more

I absolutely LOVE this gym!!! I had only completed a couple yoga classes before and bought a 20 class deal from LivingSoc. I do not have enough great things to say about their gym and have brought 4 of my friends who have joined as well!! Being a runner, within 7weeks, I have increased my flexibility, definitely have noticed a drastic toning of my legs, arms, and shoulders. Since, it's winter time, I really love and enjoy the heat for my skin, and what it has done for my breathing and stretching...feels great and relaxing. Unlike some of the reviews I read, I really enjoy the "home-y" feeling that a full yoga room provides- seems to be a great positive energy surrounding you and also, I agree, I really like their bracelet reward program...shows my accomplishment and gives me something to look forward too!! Any way, my lessons are up next week, and I will definitely sign-up for their monthly unlimited program...last but not least, I love that it's a family-run business (I work for my family too), and I love supporting it!! If you would have told me 6 months ago that I would enjoy sweating profusely, I would have called you a liar. However, since finding Arrichion, sweating has become my new addiction. Since I pretty much brag about Arrichion to everyone I know, I figured I'd write a review to tell my story in hopes that YOU will read this & decide to give Arrichion a try, too! I decided to try out Hot Yoga, on a whim, when Arrichion offered a 20 classes for $20 offer on living social. I'm always willing to try new things, but I never anticipated making it to the 20th class. (Let's be honest, I didn't think I'd make it through the first class.) Fast forward to today, where I've been a member of Arrichion for 6 months and I feel like I can finally stop looking for a gym. In addition to the Hot Yoga classes, I've recently started mixing in some Warrior & MMA Circuit training classes. Between the the yoga & circuit training, I've gained upper body strength that I've never had before & I'm more flexible than I was as a cheerleader & gymnast in high school. My body has never felt so good as it does after a class at Arrichion. Not only is my body more toned & my love handles are gone, but I have more energy than I've ever had before. There are some days when I even forget to drink coffee!! (And if you knew me, you'd know how amazing that is since I normally have approximately 4-5 cups of coffee a day. And that's just to get through my morning!) What I love most about Arrichion is that the classes are a mix of girls AND guys. Every class at Arrichion is a "go at your own pace" type of class, which allows weak girls like ME to work out alongside the big, bulky, GTL type of guys. (No complaints here.) ;) Also, unlike a lot of other gyms & studios, they really cater their classes to the "working crowd." There are early morning classes starting at 6:15am, lunch time classes & evening classes anywhere from 5-8pm. Yet another way to reiterate what a great workout Arrichion is for everyone!! I'm so happy to be writing an update two years after my first experience at Arrichion that is even better than before. I loved Arrichion two years ago when I started working out there - so much so I thought about quitting my corporate job and trying to get certified to teach yoga. The community, the people, the atmosphere, the sweat... everything about it is addicting. Sadly, shortly after I joined two years ago I landed a job in Ballantyne and moved closer to Southpark, which made the trek uptown almost impossible for the classes I wanted to get to. Alas - I ended my love affair with Arrichion and found a gym that was easier on my schedule.... but the flame was still there... burning like an ember in my sweaty yogi heart. Last month I moved back uptown, and lo and behold Arrichion ran another Groupon for 20 Classes for 20 Dollars (what are the chances!?). I met a friend for my first Tiger's Eye class in two years and I walked in the door and Clay (one of the owners) remembered my name! I was shocked and so humbled. Another reason why this place is unbelievable. It's a family and the management team goes above and beyond the call of duty to make you feel at home and welcome. Tiger's eye didn't disappoint. I walked out of Arrichion a sweaty and exhausted mess... which is exactly what I want after a good workout. I have been a long time YogaOne member and a friend of mine gave a living social 20 class yoga pass here. I practice hot yoga for several reasons. I enjoy the type of full body work out I get, but I also practice because it helps tremendously with my stress and anxiety levels. The staff was very friendly And the young lady teaching the class was pretty knowledgeable. The room was hotter than what I was used to. I just assumed it was because the class time was actually shorter, They compensated by turning the heat up a little, but I'm not sure. The actual workout was great, But it definitely lacked the spiritualness and calming factors I was used to from YogaOne. If you're trying to just get a workout in, This place is great. If you're practicing for additional reasons like me, however, I would recommend maybe a different venue. read more

The hottest studio in Charlotte! 106 degrees that kicks my butt every time. I have been going for over a year and a half now and I can't get enough. This studio is unique because their classes incorporate strength, flexibility, and cardio. I never thought my heart rate would get so high in a yoga class, yet I'm building strength and flexibility at the same time. They are also unique in the fact that they offer circuit training (which I love). The variety of the yoga classes, combined with the circuit classes keeps me from getting bored (and I often get bored in my workouts). Quinn and Clay and their instructors are so welcoming and helpful! They make Arrichion feel like a family. They have quite the number of clients now, but they still know my name every time I check in, and I like that. MMA yoga is by far the toughest! I burn 500+ in 45 mins. Tigers Eye is also challenging with the half circuit/half hot yoga. They also offer Topaz and Diamond, which are more laid back, but are great additions to making you an overall athlete. They even have a hot pilates class- ow my abs! I never thought I would get into yoga b/c I usually want my butt kicked in my workouts- and I have found a lovely combo of yoga and butt kicking here at Arrichion. I can go for a killer workout, or I can go for a nice, relaxing stretch. They have it all. Give it a whirl! The only downside I have noticed is the size of the yoga space. People love Arrichion and it is continuing to grow, so I often go when I know there will be fewer people b/c the room can get quite full. read more

This place is small but great for what they do. I have never seen a studio offer the variety of classes that they do and at different times through out the week so you can always find a class that fits your schedule. My first class was the Tiger's eye class which is 22 mins of circuit and 22 mins of hot yoga. the circuit part was definately challenging but the variety kept you going. I loved it. The 22 mins of Hot Yoga on the other hand was extremely difficult. After the 22 mins i did not think I could handle a full 45 mins of hot yoga but decided to try the Topaz class which is for beginners. If you are new to hot yoga this is definately where to start. It was a lot easier which made staying in the hot room for 45 mins a lot easier. I am still undecided about hot yoga but I love their circuit training classes. read more

She was rude and disrespectful and not friendly at all to the new customers standing in line. I've never been treated with such disrespect let alone at a yoga studio or any studio before. Where I come from, NEW CUSTOMERS, are valued and we try to give them the best experience possible. Those who arrive late should NOT be able to skip those who arrive early, no matter how much they pay. I have not been back and my friend who invited me cancelled her monthly membership. To any guy on the fence about joining a hot yoga gym: Try it. Don't not try it. In fact, to ANYONE on the fence about it. You can do it! I started at Arrichion about 2 years ago when a friend of mine gave me her soon-expiring groupon just before she left for vacation. I went to a few classes, and discovered quickly that not only did I like the challenge, and the fact that it gave me a chance to get in my own head and compete against myself, it also made me a better all-around athlete. I'm primarily a cyclist, and yoga has helped me to be more flexible on the bike (which means I can get tucked into the drops just a little tighter, and have no back pain after a 4-6 hour ride). I've also dropped a bunch of weight since joining, and have gotten lots stronger, thanks to the group weightlifting and circuit classes offered at Arrichion. This is all not to mention the people there. The gym is run by the friendliest, most accepting, down-to-earth group you'll ever meet. They'll work with you to help you get better and stronger at everything you do. From elite endurance athletes to triathletes to dancers to hobbiests to runners and people just trying to get into shape, there's so many great people at Arrichion, you'll wonder why you wasted your time NOT going there before. Yay I'm a fan! I'm not going to lie I bought this Living Social months ago and still didn't have the courage to try hot yoga well that was until yesterday. I am so glad I did it. This is a great workout and being a newbie to hot yoga the instructor didn't make it intimidating at all. Sure there were times where I didn't think I was going to make it through the class but you soon get past it and by the end you feel great. I love that this class challenged me and kept me wanting more. I'm using the Groupon - 20 classes for $25! So I'll do my best to update the review at the end of the cycle. This studio is HOT. Like not just regular hot yoga hot. It is like super ridiculous hot. But somehow, I really like it? I've got 60 days to use my groupon, I started a few days ago with the Topaz class. I had been eyeing it up on Groupon for a while now, and finally took the plunge. I'm only two classes in, but I've done Topaz and Diamond. Topaz is great for the beginner. The instruction is pretty detailed, although the instructor doesn't come around to help correct your form or anything - like I've experienced in other classes. It moves quickly, so I could see how someone could easily get behind or feel left out. For my first class, I was towards the left in the middle of the room. I SO appreciate the "parking spots" for your mat. I always feel like I'm crowding someone. Diamond is slower, with less instruction. The only part that I didn't like about Diamond was that the class was lead by a recording. The room is dimly lit, by LED candles. But then the recording kicks on and tells you what to do. I can't imagine that it would be more efficient that way? Why doesn't the instructor lead the class? Anyway, I like it. I'm going to try to use all of my classes in 60 days, and take a mix of the classes. You do have to get there super early to have your pick of mat space, classes fill up quickly. Stay tuned! I moved here from Utah. The last 5 years the majority of my practice has been Bikram yoga. I discovered Arrichion by searching for hot yoga in Charlotte. I found a Groupon that was $25 for 20 classes. I really like the Topaz class. It's more beginners yoga but it's always good to find that basic form again. Add beginners yoga with heat and you got yourself a nice yoga session!!! I enjoyed the different variety of classes. The atmosphere at Arrichion is friendly and provides a schedule that can be worked with depending whether you want yoga at night or in the morning. They also have circuit training there which I have not tried yet. Anyway. Hot yoga is what sold me here. I like my yoga and I like it hot. I bought a pass from Groupon a was disappointed after attending a few classes. The teachers were good at giving instructions but I do wish they would give more personal tips for some people who are beginners as not everyone knows each pose. The space also was very crammed during the weekend morning classes. During some poses you would hit the person next to you. Also, the locker rooms are very small and do not have any "lockers". Even though they said they lock the front door during class I would still feel more comfortable with a locker instead of a cube. The rooms are also extremely small to change or do anything. I did enjoy the ice pops after class, but I wish they limited the amount of people per class to make the classes more enjoyable. read more

I can't say enough about Arrichion! The staff is incredibly personable and friendly. I have only been a handful of times but I'm seriously considering going back ASAP. I initially went to Arrichion when a friend graciously paid my way for a class. He figured I would like that sort of thing and he was right! My first class was the Hot Yoga/ Circuit class and I felt AWESOME afterwards. The class was an hour long and consisted of half an hour of hot yoga, then half an hour of lifting and plyometrics. I remember thinking to myself "If I did this just 3 times a week, I wold be diesel." No joke. This class is NOT for beginners or those who aren't too familiar with yoga or lifting. If you are a beginner, I would suggest you make sure the staff knows this as well. When you do take a hot yoga class, be sure to bring a mat (or rent one) and a very big towel to cover your mat (or a yoga towel) as well as a water bottle and a hand towel to wipe your sweaty-as-crap body and face. Umm yeah.... you're gonna sweat like you never thought you could. But it's a good kind of sweat.. like when you just KNOW you're ridding your body of chocolate cake, beer, pizza and makeup. (Does that even make sense?) Bonus: Arrichion usually offers Living Social deals and deals for beginners for only $20 for a full month of classes. That is a downright steal for the amount of attention and results that are guaranteed from these classes. Call ahead and ask questions if you're scared to take the hot yoga plunge and the nice peeps there will even give you a tour if you are still apprehensive of joining. I've been going to Arrichion Hot Yoga almost every day for the past 3 years. I never imagined I would find a yoga studio that offered a wide variety of classes along with circuit and weight training that pushed me every day, combined with teachers always willing to challenge and support me, and members with whom I would grow close and eventually call true friends. After my first few classes at Arrichion, I knew that I had finally found all three. The atmosphere created by the teachers and members stands out the most and is unlike any other yoga studio I have ever attended. Each day, you can come as you are and know that you will be surrounded by good people encouraging you to help reach your personal fitness goals, whatever they may be. The workouts are intense and the class schedule is set up in a way that offers a wide range of classes at different times throughout the day to accommodate all types of home and work schedules. Of the core classes that I take Monday through Saturday, each one is different than the other and getting to the studio at some point during the day is never an issue, even with a busy work schedule and two small kids at home. My physical and mental health have never been better. I'm actually stronger today in my late 30s than I was in my early 20s and am excited about what goals I will reach next. I'm thankful every day that Arrichion is such an integral part of my life. read more

Arrichion was my first exposure to hot yoga- so I have to thank the studio for that. I'm now a die hard hot yoga student- just not at Arrichion. I went to Arrichion for 3 months first starting out with their 20 classes for $20 deal- which is a great on-going introductory deal. (See their website) After that, I joined for the $100 for the first two months and the $89 per month after that. Many of the other reviewers did a great job of summarizing the classes and the studio itself so I won't go through that. I'll just summarize at some points that I experienced while I was a member. I am no longer a member and my main reasoning falls on two points. First, lousy customer service and second the downright unprofessionalism of one of the owners. $89 is just not cheap enough for me to deal with either of these things. 1. Hot: Yes, it's hot. It's definitely hotter than any of the other studios that I've tried out- to a fault, in my opinion. I found myself getting out of poses or needing a rest more because of the heat than my muscle fatigue which cuts down on my overall workout. The temperature is also all over the place though depending on the teacher. Some make it extremely hot, others not as hot, some open the door at the end of class to cool the room off, some don't. For a cookie cutter studio this is the one area that there are differences in the classes. Plenty of people enjoy the heat though- I prefer the 95-100 degrees I practice at. 2. No variety in the yoga classes: A few of the other reviewers have mentioned this and I very much agree as a point of annoyance. There are several hot yoga classes that offer different experiences for different levels of skill. However, those classes are the same, each time. Topaz is the same regardless of the time, day or instructor, the same with the rest of the yoga classes. And by the same, I mean the instructors say the EXACT same thing EVERY class. They are holding an instructor training and I can't help but think that all that it is is memorizing each script. At first, it was okay, I knew what to expect. However- after three months of going 2-3 times a day being able to recite the script in my head with the appropriate inflections in the right place along with the instructor was driving me crazy. "Flex your toes back toward your face engage your right leg, inhallleee, lifffttt, exhalllleee, lowwweeerrr." It's like the gym version of Ground Hog Day. Obviously, I practice a lot, so it will take someone going once a day to a few times a week longer to get to the insane asylum point, but you'll get there. 3. "This is not yoga" A few reviewers have said this and while on one hand, I understand where they are coming from, there are some points to be made. If you're familiar with yoga- this is vinyasa flow using Bikram poses- which are different from poses in other yoga disciplines. So yes, "Triangle" at Arrichion is "Side Angle Pose" at the studio I go to now. It doesn't mean that they aren't using the proper terms for the poses- it's just Bikram style and the poses are different. However- there is very little emphasis on connection with breath to movement or form outside of the occasional Topaz class that has adjustments- much different than yoga at any other studio. There is no emphasis on any of the other benefits or principles of yoga other than the poses- which could be good for some. If you're looking to get into a hot room and exercise using yoga poses- this is the gym for you. Reviewers and staff insist that what they practice is "athletic yoga" which I can only assume to be their way of dismissing any of the other aspects of yoga. In my opinion going to any of the Ashtanga or Baptiste (the only other ones I've tried) yoga studios- you'll get just as good- if not better and certainly a more complete workout. 4. The Groupon: Also something that other reviewers have touched on. The groupon was really what kicked off my growing annoyance with this studio. Many studios offer groupons as a way to attract new clients. This studio needs a lesson in diminishing returns. By the time the groupon was offered, I was a member paying $89/month. Word went around the studio that the groupon was oversold- 1600 were sold and this studio is TINY! Suddenly I needed to leave my house 40 minutes early (I'm approximately 15 minutes away) just to get a spot in the class. Who has time for that? There is no online sign up. If you're a member running a bit late to leave you stand in line (outside by the way) behind everyone who paid $20 for what you paid $89 for and you may or may not get in. Plenty of people are okay with this and will leave their houses extra early to ensure their spot in a class of which they are a member- not my style. Speaking poorly of students and the endless, name calling tirades about the competition- in the open- also got old. (Chicken Legs? Grow up.) I want a yoga studio- not a clique.
