I haven't had a good time with alpine roofing so far. No call/no show to their appointment made…read moreover 24 hours in advance. When I called to ask what the timeline might be they said somebody would call me back. Next day nobody called me back, so I called them and was once again was told somebody would call me back. I am currently still waiting for that phone call so I may update this review depending on how it goes. For a company that boasts all of their 5 star reviews on their website it sure hasn't seemed like a 5 star experience for me so far. Update: this is intended for alpine roofing and I have the right page. After talking with Christine and Ben (who was a little accusatory) it sounds like their call center made am error and never scheduled anything despite saying they would. I am supposed to have somebody come out at 5pm today (still haven't gotten an email confirmation yet) and will update further . Final update 3/19/2026 my appointment was confirmed with Oscar, one of the techs. Got a call from the operations manager who said that due to my frustrations at the company it would be best for them to cancel and not perform the work. Hopefully they get their AI scheduling system figured out to avoid wasted time in the future. I'll keep monitoring this review to ensure it stays up for others to see.

They are very professional and their communication outstanding. First-class business which is no wonder why they have such great reviews. All the people we dealt with were friendly and professional. We are very pleased with the results and recommend highly. We felt the price was fair as well.

What an excellent company. I called, left a voicemail, and they showed up the next day and gave an…read moreestimate which was $100 cheaper than another local company. I asked when they could fix my leaky roof, and they said when I am ready. They sent a crew over the next day. Very responsive, not overpriced, and they stand by their work. A little more back story: I originally called another company. They did not show up to do the repair. Called them again, and they still did not show up to the repair. I actually called a third time, and they never showed up. Meanwhile, for 6 weeks I have water coming through my ceiling! Do yourself a favor, and call Palmer Roofing.

A few years ago, I had Palmers do a 50-year roof on my home. Great material, good bid, but some…read moreinstallation issues - the jibber-jabber crew paid more attention to the mariachi noise coming out of their boom box than the quality of their work. The ridge vent, which was not needed, was cut free-hand rather than striking a line to follow, consequently the opening was cut too wide in places, which meant the staples on some of the capping pieces didn't have anything but air to go into and so some didn't form to the roofline. On the bright side, when I called Palmers about this, it was immediately addressed with adhesive between the caps, but this shouldn't have been necessary, and the staples are still in nothing but air. Also, the crew removed some facia pieces and didn't replace them - I did. So, from my experience, I would say that Palmers is a good contractor but should train their crews better - just because something is out of sight doesn't mean it's not important to do a good and correct job.

By far the most unprofessional and incompetent home inspector I've ever worked with. I've…read morepurchased many different homes throughout the US, and this guy completely failed. Obvious water issues (3 out of 4 sink areas had leaks or issues of some sort), mold in the attic, mold under the subfloor. He did not crawl through the whole attic space (we found growths on the back of the sheeting that suggest inadequate ventilation that will require a roofing professional to fix). We also had issues that could be easily identified from the crawl space (mold that penetrated subflooring around plumbing fixtures). He missed issues that would have been blatantly obvious had he done his job. He then shrugged it off as though it were not a major issue. Despite the fact that, had he had done his job, we could've saved well over $20 thousand on the house purchase cost. We had to rip out an entire kitchen to fix black mold issues, and haven't even started on the other two areas that we found leaks. Not to mention the roof ventilation issues. The free floor installer estimator immediately identified issues using his $100 moisture detector that this hack didn't even notice were an issue. We talked to others who were professional inspectors, they were all clear areas that should've been found. One small oversight is one thing, missing multiple very major issues that are costing well north of $20k shoes the true unprofessionalism that is this home inspector. We are currently seeking legal counsel.

Cliff Steelman is a hack and entirely incompetent. He "inspected" our home prior to purchasing and…read morecompletely missed several items he should have inspected. I'll outline a few of my grievances below: First, the kitchen garbage disposal obviously didn't work, but Cliff claimed it did in his report. Unless it defied the laws of physics and he was able to operate it without electricity, he lied. It was wired incorrectly -- something the electrician we later hired said was a blatant error on Cliff's part. Second, he failed to adequately test the plumbing in a bathroom -- which if he'd even turned on the sink, shower, or ran the washer, would have seen that it did not drain and, in fact, flooded the bathroom. Finally, several outlets did not work and one socket was blackened with soot from flames and sizzled when in use. Cliff missed those, too. Thanks to Cliff and Contented Ewe, will have already had to pay a few hundred dollars to hire an electrician to find all the faults Cliff missed. And we expect to pay a few more to correct the plumbing issues (including tearing out the entire shower because it was done incorrectly). We were not at the house during the inspection, unfortunately. A close friend's husband suddenly passed away a few days before the inspection and we had to attend the out of town funeral. It was a huge mistake on our behalf, I admit, but Cliff was vouched for. Given our experience, unless the buyer is breathing down his neck during an inspection, he is a lousy inspector who will surely cost you more in the long term than his $400 fee. Do not use Cliff Steelman at Contended Ewe. Get a competent inspector who doesn't cut corners and save yourself the grief.
