Andy did an amazing job getting my daughter connected with Betsi, and she has been absolutely wonderful from day one. In just three sessions (two virtual and one by phone), we've already seen such a difference. What truly sets Betsi apart is the level of care she provides -- she has made completely unsolicited calls and sent texts just to check in and see how things are going. That kind of genuine compassion and dedication has been a total game changer for us. My daughter has been very resistant to therapy in the past, but Betsi reaching out "just because" has really helped her begin to warm up to the process. That extra effort has meant more than I can put into words. Thank you again -- we are so, so grateful! UPDATE -- SEPTEMBER 5, 2028 I wanted to update this review to say that Betsi's level of care has remained unwavering. She always makes time to call or text just to check in--even when we don't reach out first. Does that mean everything is wonderful and we no longer need therapy? I would be lying if I said yes. Therapy is a process, and it takes time to unlearn past behaviors. Kids also continue to grow and mature, and each new stage often brings new challenges. After going through several therapists, I can honestly say that Betsi makes it impossible to give up--in the very best way--and that's what it takes for therapy to truly work. We still have good days and bad days, but we've learned how to communicate better with one another, and the bad days are no longer nearly as difficult as they once were. Although we don't work directly with Andy (I think Andy mainly takes care of the boys which is understandable) but I would be remiss if I did not add to this review that Andy also has the same professional therapy values, morals and ethics and since he owns The Child and Family Institute that means he encourages therapists to go above and beyond and not to just stop when the hour is over! When I first called, Andy was who I spoke to. He explained how he runs his practice and the level of care he provides is what he expects of the therapist who work under his shingle! As a medical provider myself I can say without hesitation that I've never found another therapy practice owner that would even allow all of the "out of the hour session" work that they both do! While I do not have personal experience with Andy, I know others with boys who do and they have the same opinion of Andy as I do of Betsi. Sadly the "other" places focus on money but Andy focuses on care! Unless you are among the rich and famous and can afford concierge based therapy, which is basically what's provided by The Child and Family Institute but without the self-pay price tag! Therapists like Betsi and Andy are truly one in a million and we can't thank Betsi enough for all personal involvement but I can't thanks Andy enough for finally being one of the rare few to not let the $ sign be in front of care !
