It takes place in a private residence in the Malibu so you're not given the address until a few days before your scheduled appointment. Kirscha and Luca were very nice and welcoming; they led us to the area where they conducted the soundbath and it was spacious, clean, and I felt very comfortable. Rather than give everything away about the experience, I will say this: it was truly relaxing! I wasn't sure what to expect; there were areas where they didn't physically touch me, but I felt tenderness in the area the next day (the vibrations from the soundbath affect tense areas in the body). After it was over, I felt very mellow and at ease. In terms of price, I would say this one is on the higher end, but your experience is worth it as you look at the view- the expanse of the ocean, the crisp fresh ocean breeze, I really had a lovely time.

The class itself was amazing, and the setting on such a beautiful day made it even better. The lighting inside was warm and inviting, and I loved the cute, earthy decor in the office it added such a calming vibe. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch afterward with complimentary mini orange juice and natural energy bites. Drop in classes start at $29 and it's definitely worth it. I'll be back!

She really made everyone in the class feel welcomed and like a community. Parking is also great. I had an early class that morning, so there was lots of open parking spots in the Malibu country Mart. The vibe of the area is also very peaceful and it's down the street from the beach. I will definitely be back to attend future classes with Sydney!

It's a total throw-back and the cabin feels like it should be in Yosemite amidst a National Forest. Inside the cabin it's antler horns mounted and looks of vintage posters of national forests from decades prior. It nearly feels deserted, very "Great Expectations" after Gwen Paltrow leaves for life and college. Finally, it's got a gorgeous desk overlooking the span of the Pacific Ocean. Was glad to see that it survived and went in last week for some tea with my son and to chat with the owner again but was greeted by a young lady that had no idea what was going on. Had us sign in and then escorted us to the tea bar where we where told that there's no open seating. Note there was only 2 people there. The owner was behind the bar and didn't even make eye contact with us. On the way out we wanted to buy a water from the fridge by the door and was told that the drinks aren't cold. I don't need to go to or support a local business to be treated like this.

Prior to working out at Bulates, I did privates with an instructor who had a reformer at her house. I went religiously three times a week for years, never realizing that my positions were wrong, never really properly stretching and there wasn't the same attention to form. I still loved it and got a lot of benefit, but not like now. Not only are the instructors here extremely well trained, but they keep things interesting and new by changing it up constantly. This also encourages your body to use muscles you didn't even realize you had! There's more emphasis on your core, every single muscle group, flexibility and balance. It sounds corny, but I feel like I've really gotten to know and strengthen my body. And I used to do MMA and taekwondo, and still didn't achieve the overall strength that I have now. Finally, because I have gotten so much benefit, I got my 78 year old Dad into it. After one class he absolutely fell in love with Pilates. If you've got an old injury that you're trying to heal from, if you're currently going to physical therapy, talk to your doctor and consider adding Pilates. The instructors here will take excellent care of you and build you back up carefully and skillfully.

This property is Eco-Friendly with a solar energy system, Bio-Solutions septic system, and compostable toilets for Yurt Accommodations. The floors are beautiful acacia wood, walnut cabinetry & Calcutta marble details with Miele kitchen appliances. Morning, afternoon and evening yoga sessions included flow and meditation as well as pranayama breathing open to all levels. There was also a mysore style ashtanga yoga practice that was so beautiful. The yurt where we practiced is atop the hill next to the house that just elevated the entire experience. I would definitely come back here to recharge & renew and am ready to return year after year.
