Tonight was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. The food was incredible (as expected!), but what really set this experience apart was how completely effortless it was for us. We didn't have to plan a single thing. No reservations to juggle, no coordinating stops, no stressing over details. We just showed up and enjoyed each other. Every couple received thoughtful gifts, and one of the sweetest touches was getting to write our partners a card, which they had waiting for us at just the right moment. It added such a meaningful, personal element to the evening. There were also so many fun games woven throughout the tour, plus great prizes that made everything feel interactive and exciting without ever being cheesy. It struck the perfect balance of romantic, fun, relaxed, and memorable. You could truly focus on your partner while JaxTours handled the magic behind the scenes. If you're looking for something low effort on your part that will absolutely knock both your and your partner's socks off, snag the last spots for tomorrow if you can! It's totally worth it! This is 100% going to become a yearly tradition for us.

I went on the ships and sips tour on Saturday. It was about 65 dollars for the tour, which included a drink at every stop. I arrived early at the at first stop, and we waited in the bus while others arrived. Even though it was a bit cold and raining, we all agreed to do the first drink on the ship. We climbed into the USS orleck, and was given a quick tour of the ship. We then did trivia for the drinks, which was shots of vodka and bourbon. It was really good. The next stop was at a beer brewery, and we had a ticket for one drink. I tried one of their beers, and it was quite smooth and refreshing. We stopped at another beer restaurant, and did a game where we had to text the guide a quote the quickest possible. The final stop was at a rooftop, which we had to go through handheld metal detector, and upstairs. It was worth it as the drink was strong and excellent. I had so much to drink, that I did excuse myself a bit early so I could Uber back to my hotel safely. The guides (Dan and Bill I believe) were excellent. While there was some story telling about the ship in the first stop, I wish there were more about the brewery and restaurants as well. However, the games were pretty fun to play and one lucky guest was crowned the Duke of the tour and got some prizes. Tina, our driver, drove us safely to each stop. The bus was comfortable. It was definitely a fun tour, but best to pace yourself with the drinks, especially if you are driving back home. Taking an Uber/Lyft is a smarter idea. I am glad I tried this tour out as it was fun and there were ample amount of drinks. It was worth the 65 dollars. I will definitely try their food tour next time I visit Jacksonville. Overall: A

On the walk you learn some history about the areas visited and/or even something new. I have personally been on the tour few times and they are the same, but different. The tour used to start at The Landing, but since that has been torn down, the tours now start at Hemming Park. Both tours included a walk through the tunnels under the city, through historical buildings, a view of a silent movie filmed in Jacksonville, the Jackson monument, history talk and a tour of the secret bank vault. However, where the differences are is on one tour we visited the Florida Theater and the 42nd floor of the Bank of America building.......it had amazing killer views of the city! On the other tour we visited the library and to my surprise there is a lot of history in there that you wouldn't know if you didn't take the tour. We also toured Hemming Park and the general area (yes, there is history there). Depending on what is going on in the city and/or buildings, your tour may be different than when we went. The tours are informative and well worth it. Notes: There is not a designated area for parking, however, you can park at the library, use street parking or any other public parking area. There are restrooms located inside the Library and later at the tourist office as well.

We learned about the diffrent sides of town and how to guide friends and out of towners to all that jax has to offer. The host Hana. We were fed a health lunch and taken on a short history tour. We even went underground in the tunnels and learned about the old banking systems. I recommend.

You can see them with a table set up at Yelp Events, SEYMOUR (the Visit Jax Van) can be found at Sip and Stroll, and the Visit Jax office is always open with some activities during Art Walk. I have completed a few Jax Ale Trail Passports and started the Coffee one. If you have any questions the Visit Jax app is extremely helpful. It even has the option to map out an itinerary for your trip.

Located on Hogan street down town across from the public parking garage. When we stepped in, there were refreshment bar stands throughout the tour. It was a nice way to feel refreshed after the tour. Inside there was an introductory speaker that tells us about the tour, informational screens and cool interactive stories projected all over the walls. Again, there are no actual artifacts. All artifacts are kept same in a museum safe. However it was beautiful how they designed everything. The price was a bit much but It was a cool experience.

For a little over $40 General Admission entrance and a $12 parking near 5 Points. The National Geographic: Beyond King Tut is an awesome way to reconnect with history and acquire knowledge about the Boy King's life along with the Egyptian culture and gods plus the colorful effects and storytelling makes you feel like you were back there in ancient times. Even got to buy authentic items from Egypt before the end of the tour! Go ahead and attend this special event while it it still in Jax as they showcase it in different cities.

This tour was probably the activity I was most excited to attend during this trip. And I wasn't about to call out of work since my job was right around the corner. I have been on a few tours but haven't seen many tour guides this knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the place they are presenting. Gary, our tour guide and the president of this company, was dressed in costume as Andrew Jackson, whom the city was named after. Did you know he was state governor? Me neither. The tour my son and I attended was the Tuesday tour which takes you to a rooftop view as well as the underground view in a tunnel and underground vault. Sadly the restaurant in the tunnel and the top floor cafe in the bank of america building were no longer there (but good thing I took my son to both places years ago!), but we still go to learn tons about the city and saw some cool places. We went to a rooftop restaurant with a gorgeous view of the river. It was on a day that it was closed, so the tour group had the place to ourselves. Afterwards, we went downstairs and down into tunnels from one building to another. In one of the tunnels, we went to an underground vault only accessible through the tour. The door to the vault was still functional. It was really cool to open it and see some historic documents inside, and then surprisingly a fallout shelter! Along the path, we discussed some historical photos and learned about the changes in the city throughout the decades as well as some interesting historical tidbits, such as the city's previous life as the hub of movie industry during the silent era. Afterwards, we checked out some of the murals by James Weldon Johnson Park (named after the civil rights activist and writer) and learned about the original sculpture that inspired one of the murals. The sculpture "Lift Every Voice and Sing," named after the James Weldon Johnson poem, was created by the local artist Augusta Savage from Green Cove Springs. I really appreciate the inclusion black historical residents on this tour. This is something that history books rarely mention. Great tour, super informative, fun and interesting. I look forward to trying one of the other tours in the future.

We visited this park in July when traveling through Florida. We had looked at its website, but we…read morewere still pleasantly surprised at how nice it was! It was not the time of year for one of their special events (which sound wonderful!), but we enjoyed just walking through this park and looking through the windows of the buildings from a pioneer era. It's so good to see a town preserving history and educating the next generations! This place takes you back in time (even when the buildings are closed) and looks like it would be a great setting for a picnic, wedding, or other event! There are beautiful tropical plants and lots of shade as well as the nice facilities.
