After trying different barbers around Vegas, we were so grateful to find this gem just 5 minutes from our home. Stay Sharp has that classic barbershop vibe with a team of excellent barbers who really know their craft. We always book an appointment ahead of time, which I recommend since they're often busy. I just couldn't find anyone who could do a clean, even fade the way I wanted -- until I came here. This barbershop is the real deal. The Cut This was my second visit, and I'm so glad I went back. The first time, the cut was okay (that barber isn't there anymore, thankfully). This time I went to Eric, and he's incredible. I had noticed his work during my last visit and could tell he really knew what he was doing. He takes his time, and the fade is flawless -- perfectly even and blended. My son is half Samoan and half Hispanic, so his hair is thick and coarse, and it's not always easy to get that smooth, gentleman-style fade with the top combed back. But Eric nailed it. It came out exactly how I wanted, and the price was super reasonable. I tipped him well because he's definitely my son's new go-to barber. The Vibe The atmosphere feels straight out of the movie Barbershop. Everyone knows everyone, there's constant conversation, laughter, and sports on the TVs. It's a relaxed, all-guys environment, and both times I've been there I was one of the only women -- but it still felt welcoming and friendly. Final Thoughts If you're looking for a barber who can fade clean, take his time, and actually care about the details, ask for Eric. I'm so relieved to finally have found someone who gets it right every time. Highly recommend.

For a brief period of time I tried to continue to make up excuses to go back to SoCal every six weeks or so primarily so I could continue to frequent Nachos Barber Shop (see my previous review of them); however gas prices and sheer practicality necessitated that I find a new barber. In the Spring of 2005 I came across Town & Country. The owner, Efren, is from the La Habra/Whittier area of SoCal and actually knew Nachos Barber Shop. Definitely a good sign and I've been going there ever since. Unlike the SoCal spot though, the prices at Town & Country are quite a bit higher at $25+ with tip. For that price you get a true barber experience though. None of this clippers and hair washing crap, you get a knowledgable long term barber, using scissors, and it finishes with a hot lather and razor blade. They also offer professional shaves at a higher cost. All barbers there that I've had carried with them 20+ years of experience. Efren is the President of the Nevada Barber Association. If you visit, I suggest getting Neil or Efren or one of the older gents. Every once in a while a younger barber works there but they usually don't last that long, and I have learned to not go to them anyway. I like the old guard. Men that have been cutting hair since I was a child. Neil is my usual choice as I believe Efren is by appointment only and I rarely remember to make an appointment. If you're looking for a good quality old fashioned haircut by a true barber, Town & Country is by far your best bet in Vegas.

No big deal. The final straw for me is when I call to make appointment with same female barber, she confirms it, but says to come 15 minutes later. I get there when she says, and see she's hurrying to her car out the parking lot. So I settle for another barber in there and ended up with blade marks all over my hairline.

I am glad to see the business expanding with another shop side by side, back then, wait times have been a bit long, but even now i do recommend booking your appointment on their Booksy app not only to shorten your wait time but for consideration of the barbers, I notice they take walk ins in between appointments and to some it might be inconvenient for those that reserved, but either way it is an all in all great barbershop, and the only one i ever go to.
