They have developed such a love of art and joy of creation through Lucy's supportive and wonderful learning environment. What I love most is that Lucy teaches kids about different artists, and then encourages the kids to find their own voice and think creatively and critically about the work they are doing. Her studio is a magical place. I can't recommend this camp highly enough.

They offer a variety of classes for multiple age groups, open gym hours, and more. I would do some research ahead of time matching your kiddos age ranges with the weekly schedule ~ our drop-in was around $20. I'm sure there are monthly rates and/or memberships, but we wanted to check it out first to see what the gym entailed. The staff is incredible nice, the families/kiddos who come are great, and I appreciate the open space format conducive to safe exploration and play. There does have to be a guardian present at all times, or at least for our time slot there does :) Equipment-wise, we were very impressed. This is most def a super-elevated Gymboree (or for us, the next step!). I'm not a gymnast so not sure the technical terms for the equipment, but from our fist time I noticed the open mat, climbing blocks, trampoline, foam pit, mini balance beams, rings, and more. For the kiddos, they get stamps at the end of the hour long sesh and fun music is played throughout. A trainer is present too. Overall, we will def come back again soon. There is safe parking adjacent to the building, and can't beat grabbing a few items/gas/snacks at Costco before or after class. Happy we have a space in the East Bay like this. Bravo!

To say Gaia Girls is the antidote for the cynical, materialistic culture we inhabit doesn't do it justice. To praise the peace, groundedness and loving kindness Gaia Girls fosters only scratches the surface. To gratefully acknowledge the powerful process Gaia Girls creates to strengthen the mother/daughter relationship is modest. My daughter and I spent a life changing weekend together with Gaia Girls and I am deeply grateful. We are benefiting every day from what we brought home with us (blessings, songs, gentle awareness of each other), and we can't wait to go back!

My daughter and I had an amazing time at Artemis Village, Summer 2018. The setting was beautiful…read moreand the girls seemed to be entering a magical world of connection, beauty, and creativity. When I arrived on Friday to spend the weekend with the other mothers/female caregivers and girls, my daughter was so happy to see me and include me in the world she had entered. It was so special to see all the girls, each with their own mother/ female caregiver and sense the bond that they each shared. There were activities for mothers and daughters to do together and I felt these activities brought me closer to my daughter. There was also time for the mothers to connect with each other and there were even mentors for the mothers, from whom I drew a lot of support. I experienced many circles of connection during this weekend-- connecting with my daughter, connecting with the mothers, connecting with the mentors and the village they had crafted to support us, connecting with nature on my own and collectively, and more... Some girls and mothers who attended had known each other for awhile and we were new. I wondered what this would be like, but both my daughter and I found everyone to be very welcoming and inclusive and there were other new families as well that were very easy to connect with. I am so grateful that both my daughter and I could have this nurturing, inspiring experience and we are both looking forward to participating again this summer.

The counselors are truly wonderful: fun, caring, and creative and each week the camp has a different theme lead by local experts or artisans (from carpentry and engineering to jewelry and gymnastics) so the kids are never bored. My daughter also looked forward to their weekly field trips which took them on various adventures throughout the Bay Area.The cost is extremely reasonable for a camp of this caliber and the location is picturesque - nestled in the Kensington Hills near Berkeley. Also, a huge plus for this busy working parent is their early drop off and late pick up on those days when I need it. We'll be there again this summer!

KCC Camp is so simple. So easy. It's all day, so great for working parents. Each week there's a different theme and specialized classes with a teacher--carpentry, say, or gymnastics. There's a field trip every Wednesday (on an actual bus--no parent driving required! Yay!). There's always tennis and structured play, but also plenty of downtime if that's what your kid wants. It's not the most coddling camp ever, but the kids have fun and come home happy.

The cast is exceedingly talented and the level of energy and enthusiasm was inspiring. "I laughed, I cried, I was immersed" - all true! All, and I mean all, of the named characters were not just solid, but terrific. How the heck can they cast this well for a small production in El Cerrito?! Not that I'm some grand theater maven, but I'd worked stage crew in high school and community theater before, with performers who've gone on to become national names. I've also seen my share of Broadway shows. This was my first experience at CCCT - and it was something special.

Was so happy to finally find a volleyball clinic for my 7 year old daughter…read more I was worried that since they accepted kids so young that the clinic would be too easy but it isn't. Its a great clinic with the perfect balance of encouragement and push. The instructor, Kristina is amazing! She's so knowledgeable! She has a ton of different drills and skill building exercises for the kids! She even gave me some homework/practices for my Daughter to help build confidence. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone with a child who has an interest in volleyball. My Daughter has excelled and loved going every Sunday! Thanks VB Synergy!

I just love the training that my girls receive with Coach Kristina. My three girls have attended…read morethe sunday clinics and or camps and it's been great experience. She showed my little one how to serve and my oldest how to improve her spiking and jump serving. She has many years of professional experience and I would like to highly recommend her volleyball coaching. I seen huge improvement in my oldest daughters volleyball skills since she began training with Coach Kristina. On top of her great volleyball skills she is professional, patient and nice!
