Found this boutique somewhat by happenstance after a quick search of local, vintage stores. Was looking for a more intimate shopping experience with unique finds, and my friend and I weren't disappointed. The collection of consignment items here is nicely curated, and there is a clear aesthetic that is totally Santa Fe! I got a cute little tunic that I can use multiple ways, and my friend got this adorable vintage leather purse. Also, if you're looking for turquoise jewelry at a fraction of the cost that's in the plaza, this place has a few items. We met who I believe was the owner, and she was so helpful with other shopping suggestions. Who knew that Santa Fe has a consignment shopping trail? I haven't written a negative review in years, but after visiting this women's consignment store today, I am quite perturbed. For the past two weeks I've had wonderful shopping experiences in Santa Fe. I found treasures at the annual International Folk Art Museum Market, on Canyon Road, and have especially enjoyed the consignment stores, which have amazing collections of high end clothing and art. Until today. Art.I.fact is a high-end women's consignment store. The compact shop was staffed with two women who never acknowledged me. They chatted with regulars who came and went, but never once greeted me or sent a smile in my direction. There is no way they missed me in the small, quiet space. I spent a 35-year career in marketing and sales, and this is no way to run a business. The store was attractive, and the merchandise was high quality. read more

This was my first trip to Art.i.fact and it certainly will not be my last. What great pieces! I purchased a taupe over wrap that looked wonderful with my black slacks and black sweater! I could never have afforded to pay full price for this wrap. I actually wore it out of the store and I am still smiling! There are wonderful shoes, belts, jackets, sweaters, etc. I received a very warm welcome upon entering the store and Jenn was amazing to work with. Thinking our house would be ready by this time, I mistakenly did not pack for an upcoming fancy wedding. A lovely waitress named Jennifer, working at the Kamala Chocolate shop, recommended this shop to me. I was greeted by Wendy who listened carefully, and pulled six items from the racks for me to try. I ended up buying something I didn't know I needed until I tried it on , but we did not find anything appropriate for an evening wedding. Wendy told me they got new items in every week, invited me to come back, and also asked for my phone number and promised she'd keep her eyes open and call me should anything come in that she thought I might like. You can't ask for better service than that. Oh, and, as I'd been having a simply horrible morning, she asked if I wanted a hug. YES! And thank you!!! read more

Good store hosts, lovely atmosphere, some very interesting pieces especially in dresses, shoes, coats and jewelry. Everything is well marked, showing when an item will be discounted if not sold. I bought an Edwardian wait cinched jacket of fabric that feels like buttered silk for $25.00, a sterling silver &turquoise heavy pendant for $75.00 hubby bought an insanely floral silk blousen shirt for his formal artist smock plus other odds an ends nearly free compared to retail at the exclusive shops. There are mens and ladies cowboy boots, as well. Not in my size, darn it. Owners are charming, helpful and priced to SELL. read more

A friend and I had lunch at Counter Culture and stopped by to peer inside Artifact. The store was closed for restocking, but Jenn, the saleswoman, unlocked the door and invited us in for some private browsing. The showroom is good size with great lighting. However, what sets the store apart, is the beautiful, curated merchandise. The clothing and accessories are in excellent condition, with a mix of eclectic, casual, and special wear. I consigned four things here. A pair of Max Mara shoes ($800 new and unworn), a shirt from Paris (paid 400 euro), and mui mui shirt, and a pair acne jeans. They did not contact me, but when I went in after two months they said that they did not sell and were ALL donated. I am beyond furious. They said they sent an email, but I did not get anything. No apology. They had my telephone number on file, but did not call. No way to run a business. Outrageous. No way to know if they just pocketed the money. They are crooks. This was close to two thousands of dollars worth of clothes. read more

My family and I popped in only because Liquid Light Glass hadn't yet opened next door, but our visit ended up being the highlight of the morning. It's not a very big shop, but we had a wonderful time browsing/shopping. I felt like every piece had been carefully inspected/selected, and I found the prices very reasonable for the quality. I loved this consignment shop! I think the prices were high but fair considering this is higher-end consigning. Everyone was warm and helpful without being pushy. I bought a gorgeous handknit sweater that retails for $400 on the LOW end and paid less than $100 for it. There was a tiny snag on the front that the owner noticed and she even took the time to push the snag in for me while she rang me up. It was such a thoughtful gesture. I did consignment here before (and after) I left town, and have to say it was the best experience of consigning things in SF. They know their customer and this means they don't take as much as other consigners, but they have fair prices and good record keeping. This is a consignment store like no other in town. It really stands out for an excellently curated collection, fabulous customer service, and reasonable prices. I both consign and shop at this store and my experience has been a 10 at all times. I love the couple who own it; they are very pleasant, smart, and really know their market. I guess my mother and I didn't look like we had enough money when we walked in the door because the owner/sales clerk said NOTHING to us the whole time we were there. She was busy hob nobbing with people from the San Francisco Bay Area (bleh!) Anyway, my mom tried on some over priced shoes and I found a nice Banana Republic Sweater. The kick was, whomever had forgotten to pull off the clearance sticker for 12.99 and the store had it marked for sale at 36.99! None the less, we will not be returning here anytime soon. On a recent first-time visit to Santa Fe, my best friend and I found Art.i.Fact. And what a great find it is! A consignment shop curated by a talented couple--Jennifer and Michael--with a small gallery space at the rear of the shop. There was a wonderful photo exhibit on display in the gallery and the shop itself is like a well-edited dream closet with something for just about everyone. Jennifer's creative eye puts together the great "outfits" on display--from cool women's clothing to fabulous shoes, handbags, and accessories. Priced to sell, I learned that they're always bringing in new finds, so frequent visits advised! Easy parking in front of the shop and there's a great coffee cafe next door that serves food as well. read more
