It wasn't to capacity, but there were 5 groups of guests working on projects and a birthday party in a designated group room. Jerry, is extremely kind and patient. He is knowledgeable about the craft and is wiling to help in any way. The price is more than fair for an evening of positive entertainment and camaraderie. There is an $8 sitting fee. This sitting fee includes access to all materials available for the craft and the fire of your project in the kiln. The cost of the the item you select as your project is the only other cost to consider. That price is reflected next to the item for transparency. In the end, you will pay $8/person and the cost of the ceramic piece. I painted a $25 ceramic chicken, so my total was $33. The length of time you spend at Let's Go Paint Pottery varies depending on your level of skill, the size of your project, or simply the time alloted to enjoy your company. The owner, Sonja, is an incredibly nice lady who is extremely talented and knowledgeable. Several media are offered, from painting, pottery, prints, jewelry, and more. While the subject matter of most of the painting/prints is African-American-centric, there are others themes on display, such as beachy kind of stuff, historical Pensacola scenes, western, and Native American genres. Sonja let me put a painting on lay-away and kindly called me to remind me about it after a month. When I went to pay off the art, I saw many new (and appealing!) paintings that wowed me. There seems to be quite a turn-over of stock, which makes it exciting to return. Plus...Blue Dot is right next door! Go look at and buy some art, then go grub the best burger in town. Again, my experience is a little different than a normal visit in any given day. I didn't have to pay an entry fee and I was with a large group for a private even. A unique spot for sure, so drop in if you can! We walked over from our hotel (2-min walk) and centrally located downtown where a lot of bars/restaurants are.
