I enjoyed taking sewing classes here and the rest of my classes were awesome. I learned so much from several fantastic teachers and I am so grateful for that. The school founder is also an amazing and inspiring human being. I ultimately dropped out because the registration office continuously made my life very difficult. I understand this is a small school but the errors made at my expense were unacceptable. One of my terms, I was over charged on my tuition by several hundred dollars. When I came to the office to ask questions about the newly raised cost, Candice made it overwhelmingly difficult to get answers. My inquiry was not even taken seriously and I was falsely assured multiple times that the amount due was correct when it was not. I finally stitched together all the evidence and showed her how it didn't add up and finally I was taken seriously and it turned out that I was in fact correct. Another term, I was emailed the wrong start time/date for one of my classes. When I logged on to start my class, I quickly learned that I missed the actual class time and was marked absent. On the school website it showed multiple times/dates for that same class so when I reached out to Candice to clear that up, she insisted it was my fault because I should have looked at the website's calendar and not gone off of the email that she sent me... Many times when I would reach out for answers, I had to be very aggressive to get a fraction of an answer. It became a major hassle which led to my distrust and my decision to drop out. Multiple students during my time at PFI and alumni I have met afterward have mentioned the same issues or similar happening with them. I felt it was necessary to share this information for prospective students.

This shop helped me get rid of horrible, itchy acne I had for 2 years that not even the dermatologists at OHSU could remedy (sure, I had to drink a special tea 3x a day, take herbal capsules 2x a day and steam a few times a week - cleared up in 2 months!). Whether you're a novice or make your own plant medicine, this is the place to go. I will note that sometimes there can be very inexperienced herbalists working on their own who won't be able to answer questions or help you find a solution.
