She was able to magically sweep my 5-year-old daughter away into a fairytale land where she imagined all of her favorite things and learned proper ballet techniques, strengthened and stretched her body, and had fun dancing with her friends. She loved it so much, we wished it was more than once a week and didn't stop for summer break. Something I would like to see more of is the teaching of short dance routines after all of the typical exercises they do. One thing that many of the parents were dissatisfied with was how often there was a substitute teacher, and the general lack of communication there was regarding class schedules and offerings from the office. I hope this review will help you in deciding which program to put your child in, and will provide the school some insite into our experience. Back in September my daughter announced that she wanted a Quinceañera for her 15th birthday in June…read more- this meant she and her court of 5 couples had to learn a waltz and a surprise dance. I called a few studios in the La Crescenta area and Ani was the only one who provided classes for Quinceañeras and she did not disappoint. She was professional, friendly, patient, great with kids, and worked around their schedules. My daughter picked her two songs and Ani choreographed a beautiful waltz and a really fun mambo that let all the kids shine and highlighted the Quinceañera. The kids had a blast learning them (took about 7 - 8 classes) and performing them at the party. If you are looking for dance classes for a couple or for a group I HIGHLY recommend Ani!!!!
