Recently, preparing for an out of state vacation we placed a vacation hold for nine days. Upon our return, all copies lay in our driveway. Great for home security- Right? Had to call them to verify we received credit. Next few days hit & miss with receiving the morning paper. Called customer service before 10am - they are on it & sent messages to the route manager so we would receive our paper. NO Such Luck. -7-11 here we come. More calls to the mercury news for credit. This morning my wife waited at 5am to catch the delivery person to find out what the*#+"! Is going on. Apologies accepted today- but one more miss & we are cancelling saving about $450 a year. I really believe the news organization wants to stop daily delivery - think of their saving Service!

Already phoned in 2 complaints in previous 4 days (wet paper), paper thrown on lower side of driveway close to being in the gutter. Today they threw the paper (unprotected) on wet concrete. How many more times will there be problems before the newspaper corrects the problems or fires the delivery people? The newspaper is a shell of what it once stood for, now its full of lazy jerks.
