Every pasta dish is amazing! They make everything fresh and cook it to perfection. Fresh ingredients and not overly seasoned. It's simply great! The salmon carpaccio is also recommended and at some point I will update this review to include the meat dishes and pizzas which look great but I never got to them since the pastas are all so good. One thing to note is this is a cash only restaurant and the tip is not included (but please take care of our waiter!) read more

The food was ok , the carpaccio was average, but the Mètre D was so so rude that we almost didn't stay.The air conditioning was not work albeit they said it was on... We were in the Middle of a heat wave. Also the place only takes cash, should I wonder why ? Our server was pleasant, but a bit pushy. To pretentious for my taste, almost like a rebel without a cause. Would NEVER go back ! A pizza estava boa, o carpaccio estava na média, mas o Mètre D era tão rude, mal educado mesmo ... que quase não ficamos mas estávamos com fome. O ar condicionado não funcionava, embora eles dissessem que estava ligado... This restaurant proudly displays its michelin certifications, but does not live up to it. While the food is very good, and the ambience is delightful, the service was pretty bad. We dined at the end of dinner service, and the waiters were far more concerned with setting up tables for the next day than they were with serving us. In fact, we had to call the waiter over for everything, whether it was to receive a menu, order food, or pay the bill. And when it came time to pay the bill, they claimed that their credit card machine was broken, brought my husband back into a tiny room filled with other employees to take the card. A clear violation of COVID best practices. Then the waiter said they couldn't take the tip on card and it had to be cash. This was a lie obviously. So, food and ambience get 4 stars. Wow. Three of us had a full day of hiking in the Tijuca Forest and were ready for pampering. This was just he thing. We each had different antipasto, pastas and deserts - they were all excellent. Sooooo good! My husband and I both ordered different pastas but they were both delicious (however I loved the squid tortellini with lobster stuffing more than his meal, more my style). Great food for the price. The complimentary bread came with not only butter but a seafood spread and pate.... is in bad we filled up on the bread before dinner?? All I can say is we have no regrets about coming here. Great meal in Ipanema! Also-- I see a lot of reviewers from earlier days stating credit cards were not accepted. We had no problem paying with a credit card so I'm guessing this problem has since been resolved -- but there's no harm in asking on your way in to confirm !! read more

Dined here on a busy Friday night. The problem started when my wife was waiting to talk to the host about being seated when another couple walked in, cut right in front of my wife in full view of the host who proceeded to seat them immediately. Just rude all around. Throughout the night service was deathly slow. We waited 15 min to get our drinks then another for our appetizer to arrive and about 20 min after we finished that our main arrived. The food itself was ok to good. We got the carpaccio appetizer and for some strange reason they put onions on it which made it taste weird IMO. I've never seen carpaccio served this way and it's not stated on the menu. Otherwise it was good. I ordered the lamb ragu in red wine sauce pasta and it was underwhelming flavor-wise. My wife got the shrimp ravioli of some sort that she didn't care for much but I thought was pretty solid. Both plates, the pasta itself was really fresh and high quality, I think they make it there and it's obviously a step above normal shells or noodles. We got some ice cream dessert to finish and it was meh. As others have mentioned, no credit cards accepted. We knew that beforehand but still, wtf? I mean I purposely don't walk around with cash in this city because when I get robbed I don't want to actually lose more that 20-50 reais. So I have beef with the service and payment methods which is why I only give 2 stars. The food merits 3.5 I think. read more

My friends and I are from New Jersey in America and we found this place on yelp and trip adviser and wanted to try it out. It is a beautiful restaurant. Perfect for a romantic dinner or just a nice dinner with friends. Everything was delicious and the staff was great. I would definitely come back here. Amazing italian restaurant in Rio that offers great service, great food, very appealing ambience and worth every penny. After reading many reviews for this restaurant as well as the other "good" places we decided to come here. The place is a very nice place not far from the Copacabana beach area yet far enough to go off the beaten path. The service was friendly and attentive from beginning to end and the food was amazing. We had a pizza for an appetizer (the Sicilian) and the crust was perfect for anyone's who loves thin crust from a wood burning oven. The flavors were wonderful and for as much as we loved our pizza, the main courses were just as good if not better. We had 2 pasta dishes: A pasta with 2 different types of mushrooms that came with a marsala sauce and we had the ravioli with meat and marsala sauce inside the ravioli that was served with a light marinara over the ravioli. Both dishes were amazing. We can be very picky when it comes to good Italian food and this place had 2 amazing dishes. Price is reasonable and is worth the money you spend.. This is a restaurant that I highly recommend and we hope to be back again before we leave Rio. read more

The food was absolutely delicious. The ambiance classic and chic, its the perfect place to wind down, drink some wine and relax with fam/friends. Everything was going great at dinner, I was feeling like royalty. Until the bill came. We were charged a ravioli we did not order or had it. Sometimes it happens to be mistakenly charged for something. We sent it back. The new bill had a stamp of "service not included", as we were checking the bill, and of course, they had included the service - and they were trying to charge it again. Not to be thrifty but I really don't like to be played for a fool. Overall this is a good restaurant, just pay attention not to be ripped off when the bill comes.. read more

This was a lovely restaurant experience, during my visit for the World Cup. Had dinner with a native Italian from Sardinia, enjoyed wine from Sardinia, and liked eating on the 2nd floor balcony. The food was world class at a reasonable price. My guest even had two chocolate cake desserts. Not knowing about the cash only policy, I presented a credit card. It was graciously received without question. I will most certainly return on my next visit to Rio. read more
