And also for averaging with the little good: The foreman who worked my project, Fernando, was the only person I spoke to, beginning to end who seemed interested in doing anything other than making a sale (front end) and doing as little as possible (Warranty Team). Fernando was invested in keeping me updated, left a clean worksite each night, was kind to his team. He was a pleasure to work with. The rest of the company seems like a nepo organization, starting with the least knowledgeable and trustworthy sales team I've encountered in years. However, I was in need of a security fence ASAP and ultimately was sold because of the timeline, the quality of the fence itself, 0% APR for financing, and the "warranty." Unfortunately, I found out within one day of the project completion that the Warranty Team would be the worst at Cool Cat yet. Negative Stars: One of the locks was put on backward (meaning someone could unscrew the mounting from the outside). Further, because of the direction and function of the lock, it remained locked on the outside when the inside lock was disengaged. This is a significant fire and safety risk if the only way out of my yard is through that gate or somehow over the 6 foot fence. I contacted Dan the morning after the project closed to apprise them (7/30) and I didn't get a response until 8/3. I got the Warranty Manager's number (Joe) and communicated with him. Artur and some other unfriendly person came on 8/7 to fix. I checked in multiple times and when they were finished, I asked about the multiple drilled holes that were now exposed and tape instead of a cap on one of the rails. He said he didn't have anything to fix it with him today and I asked him to come back and fix it. That was one month ago. My $27k fence has eye sores all over the gate and now with the rain setting in, the exposed metal is showing the beginnings of rust. And I have not heard back from anyone. WORST COMPANY EVER. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

They came out to talk thru the project and discussed options but no hard sell (which I appreciate). They assign a project manager (Blake in my case) to coordinate and keep things on schedule. However, the heroes of the project were Michael + Jonathan who built our fence. The took out the prior fence and checked in with our 96 yr old neighbor that we share the fence with to make sure he approved. He did! The walked me thru the finished fence and even added a "puppy protector" mini fence to keep our dog contained. They were super respectful, kind and FAST. It looks great and with the great warranty, we couldn't be happier.

First off the professionalism was never there which threw up a red flag, they were supposed to come out for a bid, I made sure I was home and they cancelled on me. I reached back out ( I SUPER regret not following my gut, my impatience for the job to be done got the best of me) and they came out the next day they told me what they were going to do (keep in mind I don't know anything about building fences hence why I'm hiring someone) I stated I wanted my gates to look just like my neighbors and asked can this be done what do you recommend and what is the cost.Cost was not an issue for us, a quality job was our end goal here. Anyways they said they could come this weekend or the following week to set it up I said whichever is best for their schedule bc I'm flexible they said okay Monday. They called me and said they needed $200 upfront...... pause and just like let that raise all the red flags in your head. like Im the one who looks like a dumb*** bc I just should of known right then I was either helping them buy the supplies for the job or paying their electricity bill idk. So I go to the ATM get the money while he sets the concrete/pole on one side, then he lets me know that bc of x y and z he can't do something and needs to do x y and z to make it work and it would be attached to my neighbors fence is that going to be a problem...I said will this make their fence look different, do you have to go to their yard like does this effect them he said no and he just had to ask. So they continue on.. .After installed, my husband comes home thank god. Earlier he asked what shape I wanted the gate I said matching my neighbors curved, he brings to me a slightly curved on edges board with straight top and asks if thats okay and I said no I want it all rounded like my neighbors....then my husband arrived and he asks my husband if they are okay and I said ROUND/ CURVED. He also asks them to replace a board bc it was split all the way down. So we go inside we have a 9 year old and a 2 year old and he said he replaced the board. I go outside they had left and see the board they replaced they didn't saw and curve..so they are all curbed and the middle board is straight..its so bizarre how someone could do that and walk away thinking like yeah that looks like a job well done Im good to go. And on the other side I notice a board that is split half way down. So I let him know by telephone for me to be happy I need him to curve the board that he replaced to match the rest.....(isn't that obvious)...and replace another board. He said he could come in the AM I said I won't be there, but go ahead and do what is needed. When I got home and saw what had happened I was in shock. I wished I never called him to come back bc he made them look even worse. My gates are legit embarrassing. They are not sturdy they are not quality...I truly am concerned how someone could think my gates are aesthetically pleasing. Instead of a semi circle I have a ski slope. ... its awful. Also his wife spray painted the "adjust-a-gate" bc I said I wanted the hardware to be black....and she sprayed painted it on my front lawn...so theres black spray paint in patches all over my yard. Doesn't look awesome. And then she "touched up" some spots while it was already installed on my fence so theres like random spray marks on the fence...the whole thing is a joke. What I asked for was not delivered. I could go on more about what I said I wanted them to look like and he said it was no problem. Ps. Dont confuse A & J fencing with them...that was my mistake! I Was referred to use A & J and was told they were amazing and affordable...and accidentally hired J & A OH BOY. lesson learned. I am SUCH a dork.

Unfortunately we had to go through our HOA approved vendor for our 6ft extension panel in our…read morebackyard. The first install was not successful. Some of the Panel slats had damage, not the right color (they spray painted some areas to cover that up which left bubbling), and the slats were too short. It was brought to the HOAs attention and new slats were ordered to fix the issue. They came back 2wks later to put in the new ones. At this time the workers damaged the top piece that holds the slats in place while trying to pry it out of one of the main posts. I brought it to their attention before they put in the new slats and was told they wouldn't be replacing it since its going back into the main post and wouldn't be visible. I paid for material that has been damaged due to them having to fix the mistakes from the first job. I had reached out to the owner via email after a couple of attempts by phone. There was no apology or a way to rectify the situation. So I went ahead and filed a report with the BBB. The BBB reached out to them multiple times with no response. Based on the owners initial response via email to me and how the job went from the beginning I would not recommend them.
