A few 'words' about Bighaus: professional, dedicated, reliable, experienced, knowledgeable, courteous, fun, flexible, prepared, considerate, tidy, innovative, faithful... and so many many more. But... the things that really really impressed us: 1. the company is well respected by County Professionals... plans and permits had NO problems. (no permit 'issues', no long downtimes 'waiting for permit'.) 2. the company is well known by suppliers and vendors... they obtain supplies and equipment easily and quickly. (materials arrive early or on time, no downtimes 'waiting for materials', project stays on schedule.) 3. the company truly cares about project harmony... their attitudes and conduct are respectful of each other, their clients, and the clients neighbors. (no unnecessary noise; our neighbors commented that alot of the time, they didn't even know the builders were 'there' working.) 4. the company "cleans as they build"... any minute they're not building, they're cleaning... there is absolutely NO construction chaos on the property. (waste and scraps went into one pile; magnets were often used ALL over the area to collect nails; tools and equipment were neatly organized every night before they left.) 5. the company is patient and helpful with client "change requests"... and they offer excellent solutions to keep costs under control. (they're super smart about "changes" and how to accomplish them fast and affordably.) As a customer of Bighaus Construction, LLC. we saw that they go "above and beyond". The building they constructed for us is a 'testimony' of their craft reputation, construction ability, and heartfelt desire to do the very best. We wanted to build a unique, custom deck that was half covered and half pergola with a lowered seating and fire pit area. We provided him a rendering of roughly what we wanted, but didn't have much else so he had to ask a lot of questions to bring the design to life. He showed up on site (a 30min drive one-way for him) to put eyes on the space, then gave us a quote in person. The cost was a bit high for our budget (due to the complexity of the project), so we worked a few changes to lower the cost into our range. After we signed the proposal, he started immediately. He said it would take 10 days and he met that timeline. Throughout the project he had a few questions and alternatives, and he didn't move forward without first getting our input. He went above an beyond with quality, you can tell he loves the work he does and takes pride in his work; he did not cut any corners. It required some very complicated planning. John replied to my message immediately and we set up an appt for him to come look at the space and find out what my vision for this space was. He returned a reasonable bid and started the job shortly after our original meeting. I found John to be incredible at communication and being on time. He and Dillon were very respectful of my living space while the project was being constructed by cleaning up daily, laying a protective barrier on my floors to avoid any possibility of damage and they did an amazing job completing this project far beyond my expectations.
