Terrible business practices!! My mom visited this store and purchased 2 figurines for me that I…read morecollect. They are hard to find so I asked her to just pick up the other 4 they had in the store for me. They were marked $49 each on the tag and my mother paid $49 each for the 2 she purchased in store this morning. She called back after we spoke a couple hours later and paid for the other 4 on the phone with her credit card- She wasn't going to make it in town again until tomorrow. Around 20 minutes later, the owner called my mom and told her she was instead going to charge her $99 each instead of the $49 that was priced on the tags AFTER SHE HAD PAID FOR THEM!!! She then had the audacity to tell my mom she was going to do her a favor and wouldn't retroactively charge more for the two she had bought in store earlier that day. I have never heard of such a thing!! They were marked $49, she paid $49, and then the owner thought better after selling them and decided she was going to charge double??? I have photos of the tags in the store and they clearly show $49.

I actually bought a terrific lobster necklace. Prices were a teeny bit high. Wish they had more jewelry, but what they had was really great. Worth a stop and they have some unique pieces you won't find anywhere else. Very friendly staff, again, I think husband and wife. Really sweet store!

We've also taken friends that were in town visiting to paint a picket on Friday night . The wine shop offers free tastings and it was a great way for them to take home a fun momento from Oak Island while enjoying time with friends.
