I love coming in here to simply admire the latest show that they have on their walls. It's a fantastic gallery with a really great ethos - to promote the work of modern-day artists who have a striking aesthetic that gives you slight pause. Right now, there are some invigorating landscape pieces on display by a lovely London artist, Gill Rocca... lots of snowy paths that fade into infinity and dark trees that mesmerize in a sapphire twilight - captivating and absolutely refreshing.

Restless Earth by Daisy Cook is my favourite exhibition so far but I also really enjoyed Debi O'Hehir who does amazing scuplture of horses. the gallery also has an amazing staircase leading to a roof terrace. I was visiting Saatchi during their Flowers installations. The collection was just ok, could be better. Since there is admission fee I was expecting more art works on the view. Saatchi is accessible facility with walking distance to public transport. Crew at Saatchi are engaging and very helpful. With so many other galleries and museums in London, I wouldn't recommend visiting unless they have interesting artworks on view that compromise the entrance fee.

The collection being called as "JMW Turner: Rise to Fame" is a beautiful collection of different art works created over several years by the artist. The works are displayed in a certain order. Admired closely along with the notes on display, almost feels like a story being told. Post the viewing of the entire collection, we stopped by to watch the 30 mins documentary being played on the artist and his works, it feels so good and achieved coz the documentary is such a great depiction and familiarisation of those paintings, the rationale of the order of their display and the history associated. The viewing felt like I was revising my already learnt syllabus :-). After finishing the documentary, then went back to see a couple of works again as some of those had been magnified and shown to such detail in the documentary that I got even more curious to have a second look! We took so much time to watch this collection, rather admire it, that rest of the collections din seem to impress us comparatively as much and hence we spent just a couple of hours to view the rest of the series. ** we love viewing art at all the museums that we come across, be it in other locations in the UK such as the beautiful assimilation in the museums in Scotland, in Italy particularly Florence and in Rome, in Austria, in Chicago and in London!! Art is never admired enough even if one as me is not much of a painter or a sculptor themselves :-b

On first visit what will hit you is the clean lines and whiteness of it all. It is very similar in feel and mood to the White Cube on the other side of the Southbank. It's so clinical, white and spacious it perfectly marries a modern theme of art and the restaurant that Damien Hirst wanted to portray it would seem. It's actually two floors but a lot of rooms that are vast wit very high ceilings and lots of Space to see the art from back afar. It feels like the gallery of the future. Something you might see Kubrick do for one of his films, and for that it gets high praise from me. The exhibit wasn't amazing but the space did let the work sing as you walked through it and did that job well.

It seeks to support artists, through a public programme of exhibitions, commissions, live events and other off site projects. Voltaire also provides affordable studios for London based artists. The studios are located next to the large exhibition space, and there's a really great feeling that everyone is in to together; no one has an ego and the whole of Voltaire runs on a structure of helping each other out. Some of the artists that have/had studios and exhibitions at Voltaire include: Painter Dawn Mellor (She is fantastic), Performance artist Spartacus Chetwynd and Donald Urquhart. Their private views and events are always very fun, social events and i urge you check their website and keep an eye out for whats coming up. Also, if you're interesting in investing in some art, they have (to date) published three 'Portfolios' available to buy for £1,500, the latest has just been made available and includes Nick Relph and Oliver Payne, alongside others. I walked through the rest of the collection, which is almost overwhelming. There is a lot to see there. You really do need to use the audio guide, because there is so much art in a small space. I also appreciated the staff. They were helpful, without being intrusive. One of the things I enjoy the most was that people there were truly interested in art. They stopped and looked. Unlike the crowd at the National Gallery, which just went up to a painting, took a photo, and left without ever even looking at it.

The best part of the collection was, to my taste, European weapons/armory on the first floor. This section is huge and ranging from Middle Ages to late 18th century. The gun selection is exquisite. If you are studying armory, this is a place to visit. Admission is free and accessible. You can easily spend two to three hours wondering and enjoy the atmosphere. Staff are helpful and willing to help. There is a restaurant/cafe to refresh after long day of sightseeing.

It turns out that they are not only specialized in Russian furniture, they serve as an art gallery as well. They have shown pieces by British artist, but also by international mega artists like Any Warhol. They have been around for quite a while, since 1990, so they know the business and have learned to move forward, and evolve.

Went here because I wanted to see the royal carriages in person…read more Since I live in the U.S., I've only ever seen them on TV, and even if you live in England and might have seen them in a parade, you most likely only saw them from far away and in passing. At the Royal Mews, you can see all of them all at once, parked, and up close. I was curious about the name "Mews" and it turns out this was where the royal hawks used to be kept as they "mewed" meaning moulted their feathers, a time when they couldn't be used for hunting. The place itself is relatively small. However, they try to inform you as much as possible as to what you're looking at with both signs and a free audio tour. And even if you don't really pay that much attention to all that info, the craftsmanship of the carriages themselves are amazing to look at. In addition, when we went we saw a few horses in the stables, a couple of which were being prepared for the police. We went on a rainy Friday morning in late summer and even though I bought tickets ahead of time to be safe, when we arrived there was no wait and we walked straight in. I also saw a small group of people join a tour with a docent, but even without one, we still enjoyed the tour.

The tour guides are very thorough and they also have a self guided tour you can take in headset if you wish. Seeing the royal carriages was very special and you get a very good view of them. I especially loved seeing the coronation carriage and Queen Victoria's sled. The staff are friendly and helpful and we enjoyed walking through and seeing the tack room, rising school, and livery worn by the members of staff. This is a wonderful experience if you are visiting London.

Now in its sixteenth year, this is the largest artists' fair in the UK, and features over 150 artists from the UK and overseas, selling paintings, photographs, sculptures and prints directly to the public (ie with no commission - saving up to 40%). I went there a few years ago with my partner's cousin, who was exhibiting her photography there. The venue is part of the Old Town Hall complex, and is about ten minutes' walk from Clapham Junction station. It is a little pricey to get in, but the range and quantity of art on display is impressive. Not every stall will take your fancy though - some of it is very mainstream, others very eclectic, so it depends on your taste. As well as straightforward art, there are artists who specialise in painting things like your pet's portrait, if you are so moved. But there's bound to be something that takes your fancy. Unfortunately for me, I seem to be born with expensive tastes: rather than the stuff around £40, I seem drawn like a bee to a honey pot to the stuff in the £4,000 bracket. I don't know if this means I have good taste, or just an eye for the commercially popular. My other half and I eventually bought a photographic print for around £90. Refreshments are available, and there's a jazz band playing during the Friday evening reception.
