The present show featuring TUTANKHAMUN doesn't actually have TUTANKHAMUN. I walked throughout the exhibit expecting to find "him" just beyond, in the next room. Nope, not there... until I got to the exit and realized it was a scam, much in the style of PT Barnum. But the gift shop was fab! I found these rubber mummy duckies ... and lot's more useful (not) plastic stuff.

The Saatchi Gallery wasn't really my cup of tea. It's a collection of modern art spanning a few floors. There were some really cool chess pieces and boards. The current galleries focus on photography. Some of the photos were landscape, cityscape and portraits. There were definitely more racy and nude shots in this museum than others. Even with that, it was still sort of ho hum in my book.

My personal litmus test for an art gallery's quality is simple: How often, if at all, would I want to return and view subsequent exhibitions? With this qualifier alone, the Saatchi Gallery gets a strong 5 stars. I'm an art lover that much prefers looking to the future than the 'days of old', so in the vein of the incomparable Tate Modern, I knew the Saatchi Gallery would be my kind of spot. I absolutely loved the current "Panagea" exhibition, giving talented, contemporary African and Latin American artists an impressive platform to have their voices heard in the rather one-sided art world. You have your paintings, photography, mixed-media, and sculpture all in one large yet manageable space. All viewings are completely free and there are no 'velvet ropes' hampering your ability to view the works from up-close- I felt like a bit of a rebel gawking at the artists' painstaking workmanship with my nose nearly brushing the artwork. It's located in the super-luxe Sloane Square area (near Knightsbridge and Belgravia), so there's much to see, do and eat once you walk off the Saatchi grounds. If you're a tourist here for at least 2 weeks then it's highly recommended. If you're a Londoner and love contemporary art this is simply a must-visit!

This is one of my favourite Art Gallery in London. Exhibition are usually FREE. Recently I have been to Mademoiselle Privé. Mademoiselle Privé is a temporary exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery near Sloane Square open until the 1st of November 2015. The exhibition was an amazing two hours experience, I got the chance to totally immerse myself in the spirit of Mademoiselle Gabrielle Chanel & Karl Lagerfeld. Split into three different floors, Mademoiselle Privé is a journey through Gabrielle Chanel's apartment, her codes and symbols, her N°5 and the re-editions of the High Jewellery 'Bijoux de Diamants' collection created in 1932. I really liked the exhibition. The concept was very modern, however to enjoy the full experience you needed the Mademoiselle Privé app. I have nothing against technology, but I don't think this exhibition was suitable for everybody. I noticed there was a lot of old people who didn't have smartphone or tablets, so they couldn't see or read the extra details provided in each room. A woman asked me while I was walking in the totem room why I was looking at my phone and I politely replied that I was reading the information about each totem via their app. I ended up sharing my phone screen with this very nice lady through the whole exhibition. If you intend to go to the exhibition before it ends, you should not read the post on my blog as I am sharing pictures of the whole exhibition. For people who can't go this exhibition, you should definitely have a look on my blog, I've included all the details you get from the app while walking through each room so you can enjoy the full experience. I went to the exhibition at 10am as it was the best way to avoid the queue. (It also works if you want to avoid very pretentious fashion French bloggers who moan when you walk around the room because you ruin their pictures. They arrived around 11.30!)

Anyone with a conscience must necessarily be conflicted about the Saatchi. It's a phenomenal collection. It's free of charge. It's a gorgeous new building in a posh location. BUT ITS OWNER ELECTED MARGARET THATCHER. When running through the debits and credits of diabolic acts of the 20th century, surely this one lands Charles Saatchi in one of the more terrifying corners of Bosch's Garden of Delights. But the art. The opening show at this location is a survey of recent Chinese work and it is often quite mystifying, evincing a particular sensibility and an open approach to major themes and currents of history. There is a surprising amount of self-knowledge in these pieces and a great deal of wit. Prompts one to reconsider their assumptions about the next superpower.

This is another cool gallery in London. They have a good selection of exhibits and you can spend a good couple of hours checking out the artworks here. It's also free admission, totally recommend it to someone who enjoys artsy things to come and visit.

Rolling Stones Exhibitionism!!! The entire gallery is showing and Insanely fascinating journey into all things Rolling Stones. From a digital wall map of the world that shows and counts every concert they've performed in every city around the world during their 54 years together along with the number of fans they performed for to their instruments, recording studios, Outfits, album covers, fashion, stage design evolution from music to other media such as TV, music video, performance videos, 3D concert performances, and on and on, this exhibit takes you on a rock and roll journey like no other band on the planet can do. Just WOW! I hope the exhibition will travel and out our does it is not to be missed.

A must for contemporary arts lovers. The gallery features both installations and print/paint works by artists around the world, whose subjects revolve around pop culture, war, globalization, and humanity in general. Some are delightfully lighthearted, others drenched with foreboding and angst. Fans of the Saatchi Gallery will surely enjoy a visit to the Tate Modern at Bankside.

I've been to the Saatchi Gallery many times as it generally hosts modern art or fashion exhibitions, however until the 4 September Exhibitionism: The Rolling Stones has taken over the entire building. This is an exhibition that takes you through all aspects of the Rolling Stones' career, from their early days to their recording process and their many albums and tours. Each room covers a particular aspect, the first for example is an exact replica of the dump of a flat that they inhabited in 60s London. There is tons of memorabilia on view, from handwritten song lyrics to musical instruments, costumes and original artwork. It is also very interactive, you can mix some of the Stones tracks and watch videos from each of the band members perspective. I personally loved the art room the most as it contains several original Warhol works and the costumes were also fascinating. I really didn't know how much I'd enjoy this exhibition beforehand - I like them but wouldn't class myself as a massive fan. However I found it really interesting and came out with a new found appreciation of the Stones and their long career. Well worth a visit.

I went here this afternoon not really knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised when I reached the beautiful columned building just off Kings Road. And the gallery wasn't just a pretty face, it was amazing inside too. The whole gallery is decorated with white walls, lights in the ceilings and really light ash flooring. The stairwells and corridors are beautifully decorated with glass, plasterwork and bare brick. The gallery is really easy to navigate too, despite being deceptively the rooms all conveniently lead into one another so it doesn't matter where you begin, you'll still see everything. Like most collections of modern art it is not for the feint hearted, but items like the important governmental buildings made out if Dog's chews and a Donkey mounting a leaning skyscraper will appeal to anyone with a sense of humour. There was loads of staff on hand to answer questions and they were all really friendly. This is probably one of the only gallery's that lets people take photos. What's more the gallery is free so it's really accessible. I didn't think I would say this but I'll be revisiting again soon.

Today, after having it as a part of my to-do list since a very long time, I finally made it down to the new Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea. I was not disappointed! Having absolutely loved the old location on the South Bank, I was a bit sceptical about this new location in Chelsea but as it turns out, it is a beautiful space. The building resembles more of a palace than a gallery and has been perfectly restored. It boasts large white-walled rooms, perfect for contemporary art work but has still managed to keep some of its original features such as the staircases and brick walls. The current exhibition showcases some of the best Chinese contemporary artists. The show was well curated and adequately political as well as visual. This is definitely a great destination on any art-lovers itinerary and with a free entrance to boot, there really is no excuse.

Richard Wilson's 20:50 (Oil Room) as seen from the viewing platform. Still magical but missing the out of the world experience.

It had been years (at least 15) since I visited the Saatchi Gallery and today I had an unexpected chance to go visit it in their 'new' (to me) location. During my first visit I was so impressed with the out of this world experience of Richard Wilson's piece 20:50 (otherwise know as The Oil Room). I was surprised to read on the Saatchi website that it is in fact part of their permanent collect and has moved to each of their new locations. The day before I set off to London my husband told me that you need to make a reservation to see it. So I emailed the Gallery and received a prompt and friendly reply that no reservation is necessary but you cannot walk 'into' the work anymore. Though slightly disappointed I was happy to be forewarned as I was looking to reliving that experience I had during my first visit. The piece is still magical but cannot be experienced any more the way it was intended. The museum is kept meticulously clean and there are no barriers cordoning off any works of art, except 20:50 by Richard Wilson. Had a nice time and saw some inspiring pieces and a few that gave me goosebumps.

The collection being called as "JMW Turner: Rise to Fame" is a beautiful collection of different art works created over several years by the artist. The works are displayed in a certain order. Admired closely along with the notes on display, almost feels like a story being told. Post the viewing of the entire collection, we stopped by to watch the 30 mins documentary being played on the artist and his works, it feels so good and achieved coz the documentary is such a great depiction and familiarisation of those paintings, the rationale of the order of their display and the history associated. The viewing felt like I was revising my already learnt syllabus :-). After finishing the documentary, then went back to see a couple of works again as some of those had been magnified and shown to such detail in the documentary that I got even more curious to have a second look! We took so much time to watch this collection, rather admire it, that rest of the collections din seem to impress us comparatively as much and hence we spent just a couple of hours to view the rest of the series. ** we love viewing art at all the museums that we come across, be it in other locations in the UK such as the beautiful assimilation in the museums in Scotland, in Italy particularly Florence and in Rome, in Austria, in Chicago and in London!!
