Used these guys for several years but am now done. Time to find more qualified artists. Wanted a dragon fly done but it was there way not the tattoo wanted they said they couldn't get the soft pastel colors needed . Wanted a leg band done and a shoulder tattoo there prices went from $300/$600 to $800/$1000. And again they couldn't do the job the way we wanted it, while other tattoo artist quoted us better and could do it as we wanted. If paying we want what we want. read more

I've seen Brady at Artrageous Ink for four of my larger tattoos, and my daughter got her first tattoo there (of a beloved pet who passed away). Brady is very responsive during the consultation process. He does everything he can to help to translate the customer's wishes to paper and then to skin. I wanted a tribal look to my tattoos (because I'm literally in a tribe--the Cherokee Nation) and getting multiple tattoos from Brady has had a huge impact on the overall look of all my tattoos. I have two almost-full lower sleeves that have been done patchwork style. Most of my tats have a direct Cherokee connection, and Brady has really honored that in his style. Brady was so rude he told me the tattoo I wanted would " look stupid" I also wasn't sure where I wanted to put it and he told me he wasn't going to waste his time to draw it and place the stencil in 3 different places. I went to get my first tattoo at Artrageous last week. I've wanted a tattoo for a long time & some of my friends pitched in to surprise me awhile ago. I was a bit hesitant and put it off, but I decided the time was right and I was finally ready to do it after the new year. Dave the owner was really great and accommodating in getting me scheduled, and I'm so appreciative. I had a rough idea of what I wanted and met with Eric. Artrageous Ink is a tattoo salon that deserves our patronage. It's comfortable and clean with a atmosphere that is friendly and informal; the artists are congenial and accommodating and talented in not only the conventional tattoo designs but can also handle unusual requests. I came in requesting cosmetic tattoos-- it is very difficult to find someone who can do this type of tattoo-- and I was extremely pleased with the results. The prices are reasonable and I plan to go back for another tattoo because they are so reasonable. I recommend Artrageous Ink mostly because the artists have a social conscience and have donated their time and talents for important social causes such as human trafficking awareness. My virgin tattoo experience. Green Bay, Wisconsin. Downtown, in the big city. I really heart Green Bay too, (not as much as Beantown of course..but..it's unfair to compare.. and that rhymed..ok...) how can I not since I'm a raving cheesehead only a short half hour drive north of there. Anyways, back on track, I suppose I AM reviewing a tattoo shop here...! Loved this shop. It was very clean, these artists all had great work, great attitudes and were plenty kind to their customers.. unlike certain places, which will go unnamed. But anyhow, I went in as normal with a sketch of my own to get tattooed on me. They worked very well with me on the size and the exact location. I originally wanted this 2x3 inch swallow/nautical star/lightning bolt on my inner wrist, but the artist quickly convinced me not with good reason as to his concern that most tattoos there will need a lot of retouching since the skin takes differently to ink there. Shit, maybe he was pullin' my leg but I went for my forearm and really dug it. This by the way was my idea too, but he gave instant approval. I made clear how I wanted my color done, and my artist, David Tiki went well along with my requests. He gave a suggestion, which I went along with as well; as to add an extra color to make it really pop and I'm glad he did this!! A sign of a truly bombtastic tattoo artist!! David Tiki was top notch with his work, and I was really hoping I'd wind up getting inked by him! I lucked out and I was so satisfied with my experience! I brought my big bro Shawn because I couldn't imagine going alone at that time to get inked, and it was cool since Shawn sat back and drew me getting my first tattoo.. I'm glad that was captured on paper, and of course Shawn Ray did an excellent job in portraying it all! So PLEASE, local Wisconsinites, don't disrespect yourself and go to a cheap, ugly smalltown shop with no great artists for your tattoos. Check out Artrageous! They are fabulous guys! Amazing artists! Several of her designs were her own and Steve was able to see what she wanted and translate it to a tattoo quickly and easily. This place is amazing, when I went to set up an appointment I was immediately talked to and didn't have to wait. I scheduled my tattoo for the next day and when I came in the next day Brady, one of the artists, had my sketch of my blue lives matter skull all ready to go and we started right away! Artrageous is second to none on so many levels: I've gotten 12 tattoos there in the last 15 months and have more scheduled. The guys are outstanding artists. I've gone in with general ideas and they take those ideas and turn them into pieces more beautiful than I could've imagined. Sounds cliche, but it's the truth. The guys are friendly and personable, I've witnessed 3-4 customers getting their first tattoo. They were kept calm and were reassured that they're doing a great job, none of them left without a smile on their face. I've actually never seen anyone leave unhappy. The shop is clean, there's plenty of parking and you get your choice of music. They give back to the community by collecting school supplies, toys and food throughout the year. Prices are very reasonable and comparable to other shops. I'll continue to go to Artrageous till I'm either fully covered or dead. read more

Artrageous has done 2 tattoos for me in the past, and I've been very happy. However, my experience yesterday was one of the WORST experiences in my life. The "artist" showed up over 20 minutes late for my appointment (I was the first one of the day) and spent another 10 minutes "collecting" himself before coming out to discuss my design. Every idea I had was nixed in favor of a more simplistic outline. He indicated he would go back and draw it up...almost a half hour later, he emerged with a simple outline and 3 small hearts. I asked for some color, or something to jazz it up...and he indicated we'd get started after he took a smoke break. Waited another 10 minutes for him to get done with his break. At this time I had been sitting in the parlor for over 50 minutes. My friend had an appointment with Steve for a much more complicated piece (that was also bigger)...he was half done with it before I even sat down in the chair! (Side note, Steve is awesome...he was very interested in working with my friend, and her ink looks phenomenal.) Sat down and total time in chair for ink was 17 minutes. My "artist" seemed bored and just wanted to get me the hell out of there...I felt as if my design didn't interest him in the least so he put forth the minimal effort required. Had I not wanted to lose my $50 deposit, and the ink that I've been wanting to get for 2 YEARS, I would have left after he couldn't be bothered to show up on time. After he was done with the ink, he left me waiting for another 10 minute smoke break before finishing the artwork up. For a simplistic design (very little shading, basically a black outline) and total "artist" time of less than 45 minutes, I was charged for an hour & a half worth of work. My tattoo cost more than my friend's...and hers had far more effort and detail. I am so disappointed in what I received...it's nothing at all like I wanted, and I will be going somewhere else to have it fixed. Perhaps if my "artist" cared a bit more about his appointment it would have been awesome. Instead, I am left with a permanent reminder of someone who could care less about his "art" and job, and a horrific day. I did contact them an hour later via private message to express my concerns, and they never bothered to respond. Save your money, go somewhere else that has more integrity with their art and cares more about their clients. I waited 2 years for a tattoo to honor my kids, and I'm left with a design that is NOTHING like I wanted...there was more to my story than what is depicted on my shoulder, but my "artist" couldn't be bothered to assist. I have no problem paying for quality work, but the insane price I was charged did not fit what I received. Beware...you'll be paying for multiple smoke breaks, and shoddy work!!! Go somewhere else like Sonic Tattoos on Velp...they actually give a crap about what they do! This was my third piece of ink, and I can guarantee you that I would never EVER go back to the so-called "artist" who did my piece. I'd love to post his name on here, however, he couldn't be bothered to give it to me. I received my first tattoo at Artrageous in 2000...they have definitely gone downhill from where they started. read more
