Beautiful plant/garden nursery for all levels (because trust me, I have the opposite of a green thumb lol!) The staff are so kind and knowledgeable as we came with many questions. They really helped us to understand the better plants and flowers to have for our home situation (sun/time/effort truly matter). I recommend grabbing a cart because you won't be able to leave with just one item - they're all so beautiful! there are a lot of different price points too which make it more inclusive in my opinion. read more

Not a great experience here. The staff were not helpful and when we asked them for advice they were quite condescending and clearly didn't want to spend energy to help us with our questions. We hunted the grounds for some nice evergreen shrubs and every variety we were interested in were scraggly and unmaintained. The prices are okay here, but we went elsewhere to pay more for better quality. read more

**UPDATE 2020** I've been checking out Art's from time to time since my last review and I felt compelled to provide an update. Their prices are on par with other local nurseries now. They have a good selection of plants in different varieties and sizes. But one thing that has never changed since I first began going to Art's is their quality of service and easy going staff. I've been to a number of different local nurseries over the years and I'd have to say that Art's always have staff that seem relatively happy and satisfied working at the nursery. I can't say that about staff at other nurseries. Yes, there are a couple of odd balls working at Art's, but on the whole, there is always a relaxed and easy going attitude among the workers that makes the whole place a pleasant and inviting place to visit. Art's is a well managed store. It's also a store that I can trust and count on. read more

Right off hwy no. 1 on 192 St. Really big garden centre with big selection of everything. Stocks always changing from week to week. Great florist area and greenhouse with some nice tropicals and small selection of fleshy succulents - which I like. They have living stones too. Great giftware area is really big and they have a good discount section too. I bought a beautiful orange hibiscus for 6 bucks! 50% off. Score. This is also the place that has golf carts you can zip around in because their land is pretty big. Worth a visit if you are out there. Close to Potters and Port Kells Nursery if you're taking the trip they are worth the visit too. read more

Arts is by far my favourite place to get indoor and outdoor plants and gifts. Their indoor plant and gift area is fantastic. It is on my way home from work and I pop in often to treat myself to a new plant. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. They do a great job of decorating for the holidays. I do not know why I haven't been here sooner! I love how close it is to my house and despite the obvious abundance of plants this place has, I'm in love with how much pottery you can find here! Greenhouses and nurseries are a dime a dozen here but I always struggle to find good planters and pottery for the plants I do have. This place is the solution. There was easily a dozen pieces I fell in love with it ended up purchasing only 2. So many sizes, colours, textures and styles to choose from. They also have a huge decode selection as well as an abundance of plants and outdoor Garden supplies. The best part of all was the price point. Ever piece I picked up was a lovely surprise as it was always less expensive than I assumed it would be based on other stores in the GVA. Must visit!!! read more

Art's is the solution to your Vancouver planting needs. They are well worth the drive down. When they say 10 acres, they mean it- they have lovely plants, many and well-trained staff, and volunteer "master gardeners" who can answer just about any question you might have. Everyone is super friendly and very helpful. And, prices are significantly lower than in Vancouver. Their tree selection is spectacular. read more

Went there years ago. What a difference today! I really needed a handicap parking spot but found only one and it was occupied.We were overwhelmed by this nursery and did not see anyone to ask where specific plants were located.On checking out we were told maps were available.Very impressed with the amount of items offered for sale. The plants looked beautiful and healthy.We would have done more shopping but became frustrated by the lack of assistance. read more

We went to Art's a couple of different times; first to grab some sod which was a great experience. One of the labourers helped us load it into the truck and was very mindful of making sure it wasn't squished. The second time was to buy some blueberry bushes. We bought three and one of them was dead as we realized about a month after we planted it since it's friends were getting bushy and it was staying twiggy. We phoned Art's as we still had the reciept and they told us they could only give us 50% as a store credit. So that sucked. Those babies weren't cheap. Used to go here a lot, but prices have gone up quite a bit. Was there on the weekend, picked up couple of scoops of soil and some bulbs listed at 50% off. Got back to the truck noticed we were charged full price. Went back to get a refund on the difference and we felt like we were being accused of lying. She had to check all over the place, even when we told her were it was posted. Attitude could use an adjustment that's for sure. Would sooner go down the road to Port Kells Nursery in the future. read more

I had to plan a large garden wedding for the end of July. The bride did not want cut flowers but wanted a garden full of flowering plants alive. I needed lots of flowers that would bloom at the end of JULY. Dahlia bulbs are usually a safe bet. I went to this nurseries because it is fabulous, has a great dog, fun carts and very seasoned personnel ( accept for the cash out. They have 0 knowledge of anything). I bought 16 packages of Dahlia bulbs many different varieties. I wandered around the nursery for a while getting 1 gal and 2 gal perennials to flesh out the yard. I ran into a very seasoned staff member who started to inspect my selection of bulbs. She reminded me that I had to be very careful when buying bulbs as some of them in the packages were no good. Well............she was right. Out of about 75 dahlia bulbs only about 4 flowered. I have a greenhouse and have been growing for about 45 years and have even taught gardening in the school system . I have never had this kind if trouble before. With anything. So be careful. They package their own dahlias and I would have expected much better quality. I got saved by Devine Nurseries who had the most amazing healthy full grown dahlias I have ever seen for a great price. I was able to get 25 plants 2 weeks before the wedding that made the yard sing. Thank goodness. My point is be careful when buying bulbs here. Just because the nursery is pretty and fun doesn't mean that everything is good quality. read more
