It's a disaster. Please find any other dance class and stay away from Arya Dance management. I am a parent of two Arya students from Marietta, Georgia. I paid fees for Arya in the summer of 2024 because on their website, I could choose the summer session for the location in Marietta. There was no number to call and no person to email. I received no confirmation of when or where the classes were and whether they had received my payment or not. A fellow parent helped me and gave me a particular email where someone replied to me saying we do not have summer classes in Marietta. Don't worry, your fees will be applied to fall classes. I was like, what! I wasn't even asked in a false semester class or not; there was no conversation about the credit card amount that they already charged me for a false class that did not exist. As a result, I ended up in fall for their class. They are amazing; the photographer and kids adore him, so we continued with the year. For Atlanta, Arya students only get one opportunity to dance, and that's a recital. The school year in Marietta is ending in three weeks. There is no date for the recital; parents have already planned their summer vacations. There is absolutely no guarantee that there will be a recital. From past students' experience, the recital happens in a temple. No stage, nothing fancy. Regret joining Arya. I lived in Parsippany for 10 years, and I knew Arya as the number one dance academy. Now I learned outside New Jersey that it is a disaster. Jason Hrithik Rohan came to Atlanta. Arya students finally got the most awaited opportunity to dance with a Bollywood star. Each parent had to pay $90 for each kid to participate in the Hrithik show. Parents and kids worked hard for weeks, canceling all other appointments to continue rehearsing. They went far from their home locations to rehearse and put up the best show. Guess what happened on the day of the show? Another disaster, almost a crime, because they crushed kids' emotions. Kids were pushed off the stage after waiting for four hours without food and breaks. Kids did not get to perform; kids were promised pictures with Hrithik Roshan. Of course, it did not happen. Instead, kids went back home at 11 PM on a Friday, which was a school day for Georgia students. The event was organized in a parking lot. The parents were standing for four hours with their grandparents and younger siblings, babies in strollers, but in the end, nobody got to see anything--no Hrithik, no kids performing on the stage. Guess what we took home that night? Anxiety, nightmares, cries, and kids who lost trust--they no longer want to go to any Indian event or want to be part of any Indian dance academy or ruin it for parents and for kids. Worst Experience - STAY AWAY FROM ARYA DANCE ACADEMY Absolutely horrible experience with Arya Dance Academy, especially in SARON, MA location. Multiple classes were missed because Arya failed to secure a proper studio. Instead, families were asked to travel over 40 minutes to a completely different town, on different days and times than originally promised. To make matters worse, no refunds were issues for the missed classes - even though it was entirely Arya's fault. Multiple parents and students reached out but no one responded to a single message, emails or calls. The complete lack of communication and accountability is appalling. This review is for Lake Mary, FL location. Things were ok in early 2025 when we started. We decided to utilize the early registration for a discounted price for fall 2025. Well the discounted session never started due to visa issues for dance trainers which is understandable. They were however not upfront about classes not starting on time (only let us know when we started following up on why the classes are not starting on time) and never even bothered to formally cancel. I suppose that would require a refund to all people who signed up early. I started reaching out to their accounting for a refund and sent multiple emails. Have yet to get a response from them but I doubt they will. Apart from that they never made-up lessons that were missed in the prior session and never bothered to refund that money either. They also charge a month's charge upfront for the last month, i.e. if you were not to come back. It's a scam to say the least as I am sure this happened at more than one location in US. This place is pathetic. Asking for advance registration and if we want withdrew admission from class and never return the money. Whenever asked they will say call on this no and provide us email for which they never respond and never gave money back. I was in the white plains class on Saturday (adults). we had the best teacher Suraj. not only was he a great dancer but also a diligent teacher and great coach. Breaking up the steps into small pieces, repeating the pieces again and again and then stitch the entire dance together was really good. Our second year with Arya dance academy. I have 3 of my kids learning at Arya Dance Academy and have improved immensely in dance. Opportunities with Arya that they got was memorable when they shared stage with Salman Khan, Katrina Kaufman, Sonakshi Sinha, Daisy Shah, Prabhudeva, Manish Paul, Gurukul Randhawa, Jaqueline Fernandez. The dance style that is taught is pure Bollywood. Recently I saw their performance named "Manikarnika" where they showed the entire story of Jhansi ki Rani in 5 minutes, It was like watching a movie. I also saw the 5-7 year old kids and 7-11 year old kids perform such tough routine with confidence Arya is bringing teachers straight from Bollywood and it's all about dance.... read more

My daughter has been going to Arya Dance (LI/Queens, NY) for more than four years (including COVID-19); unfortunately, it is not as it used to be. The instructor is a fantastic coach, instructor, and friend to all the boys and girls. But Arya has failed to maintain a good rapport and is a fraudulent and cheated company! The company takes full advantage of trying to keep up a name but never responds to customers' inquiries by phone or mail. It has been noted through the years that they do not pay their studio facilities (rentals) or instructors on time or at all, creating another set of issues and a sour taste. It is promised that the children will get the appropriate wear needed for all performances, and the groups will participate in community events. That is not true! They do not provide any quality costumes or opportunities. For the last two years, we, the parents, bought costumes for the group so they did not have to wear wrinkled, filthy, smelly, and raggedy costumes that Arya sends in black plastic bags; I should add that the costumes are also 2x to 3x sizes bigger, and so each parent has to figure out a way to do work without "damaging it."This dance company does not take pride in the shows and performances that the groups are doing; they only care about collecting money, your money, but they do not care about your child's learning and progress. For what it is worth, My child learned a lot from her very hardworking and dedicated instructor. As per Arya Dance Academy, Beware! Don't join Arya Dance Academy! I wouldn't recommend, at all. When I was a child, they hired on an assistant student choreographer named Madhuri "Mona" Gianchandani. She was hired under a teacher here named Shamia. I believe that was the spelling of her name. We called her "Shamia Didi" - Indian term for "Big Sister" This young lady - Madhuri "Mona" - spent the entire dance year bullying, harassing, and slandering me. A paying customer. A student to dance. Out of jealousy, or who knows what. As a reference, I am 5'7. This young woman was 5'1-5'2, and dying to be the next top model. She has been entered into almost every pageant you could possibly pay for, to enter your child into. Pay for play types of things. The effort spent to launch the girl was costly and unneeded. This experience almost killed my love for dance. My parents mentioned what was happening to the owners of Arya many times, but they did not refund my tuition, and let the bullying continue. I would not send my children here. Support dance schools that foster an anti-bullying environment. Especially when it comes to the youth of today. I vividly remember how I almost stopped dancing because of my experience with this vile young woman, at this school. And how the owners did not care. What an unprofessional outfit! This review applies to all arya locations in Seattle area most of them shutdown anyway.These guys run a Bollywood dance academy in the most unprofessional way. Schedule and locations are not adhered too. The main instructor Sophia is ill -mannered and has no idea how to talk to or deal with customers. Kids are absolutely not motivated and most of them leave classes crying especially the younger children. Lot of kids ended leaving tge class. The instructor doesn't try to make an effort to make the classes likeable. They shut down couple of locations including Bellevue and Kirkland due to lack of students. She takes vacation and then instead of a backup instructor when she is on vacation. She crams all the makeup classes onto a weekend. This was my first experience with Arya Academy. I love dancing and I am practicing dance since I was 7 years old. When I registered for this event through Arya, they gave 5 online lessons for the show. Most of the lessons were instructed by Rahul sir. I think he is one of the best instructors that Arya Academy has. He is versatile and focused. His dance move transitions were specific and easy to understand. However, I had another performance one the same day for another show, so I was a little late in reaching for last minute rehearsals for the stage show of March 11, 2023 where I was supposed to perform with other girls for Nora and Zara. When I reached there, there was a lady named Prerna who was organizing the girls positions and giving out costumes. So because I arrived a little late, she had handed out the costumes for the first row to the other girls. After rehearsing for some time, Rahul sir just mentioned to her that Pranjal is a very good dancer and it would be good to put her in first row. But she was very, very rude and she said that because the costumes had been handed out and because I came late, she put me in the back row. Adding to that, there was another lady, who spoke Hindi and was short, I don't know her name, but she was kind of the most rudest person i've met till now. Because I came late, instead of helping me out for what going on, as I arrived in the middle of everything and was trying to catch up with everyone, she asked me where my costume was and since I didn't know what was going on, and instead of helping to get me a costume, she said that because I don't have the costume, she very rudely said to get out of the dance performance. On the other hand, Prerna did not listen to Rahul sir's recommendation and downright said not to put me in the front row, in spite of my good dancing skills. So overall for me, my first experience with Arya Academy might be the "best" for others, but some people working with Arya don't treat the newcomers right and the MOST IMPORTANT THING I noticed was THEY DONT NEED THE DANCERS WITH GOOD SKILLS TO PEFORM, THEY ONLY GAVE IMPORTANCE TO THE COSTUMES WHICH WERE ALREADY HANDED OUT TO PERFORMERS WHO CAME EARLY AND IT DID NOT MATTER TO THEM WHETHER THEY WERE GOOD DANCERS OR NOT. THEY DID NOT EVEN ASK ME ONCE TO SHOW MY DANCE SKILLS TO SEE IF I DESERVED TO BE IN THE FRONT ROW. My parents were in the audience with floor tickets very near to the stage. While registering, they sent me an email saying, if I register early and pay for the full year(September 2019 to June 2020), i would get a discount. It is called "Early Bird Full Payment Discount". So, I paid $720 in June 2019. My daughter took her first class on September 11,2019. She didnot like it, so I called them the next day and said, I want to witdraw from the class. I asked them about my money and they said, I will be refunded in 2-3 weeks. It's been 2 months now and I didnot get my money back. I tried calling them and it always goes to voice mail. The only reason I am giving this institute a star is because the dance instructor is good. Management is absolutely horrible. Customer support is so rude to talk to. To get my daughter out of the class was the most painful experience. They gave no paper work when we joined the class. I had been informed by customer support that drop out dates will be Jan. On Dec4th I get a mail that drop out window has started and will end in a day. I was travelling on dec 4th and by the time I could respond drop out window was over. When we called customer care they mentioned the drop out window was in Nov which parents were never informed of. They said it was initial registration paper given to us 4 months back ( which we never received). We requested them to make an exception but customer care was just rude. We requested them to drop out for later semester (April) which again they refused to do ( apparently we need to call them on the exact mentioned date to drop off). Apparently website cannot handle drop off and they never respond to calls (how can a parent call to drop off if you never respond to one??) . Have left them numerous voicemail and never received a response to even one. This class just feels like a trap. read more

My daughter is taking classes in Seattle Bellevue location from Ms. Sophia who is highly trained dance instructor with 14 years experience in teaching and Always unique choreography with best Techniques. The teachers (especially Ms. Sophia) is devoted to the kids and make sure kids are not only learning and growing as dancers but also enjoying it. She has taught them the true meaning of what it means to be part of a team!! The kids have really learned to trust each other. Win or Loose, they know they belong to one team. The Arya Team. Sophia is Very hard working and very punctual for classes. When ever competition or performance is there she takes an extra classes. She is Awesome at making JEWELRY, PROPS and on the top arranging free Costumes from Arya dance. She encourage the kids at all levels bringing them up from the beginners to becoming the professionals that they will be. The talent is surpassable and the company encourages kids to perform at platforms such as the yearly recitals, the Diwali shows, Talent show, IFFA, Dance USA Dance and Da Bangg reloaded with Salman Khan and many others throughout the USA. These shows and events give opportunities to kids to showcase their talents on a very big scale. These shows that the kids have performed at have included Bollywood celebrities namely Salman Khan, Varun Dhavan, Katrina Kaif, Shahid Kapoor, Kirti Sanon, Sushant Singh Rajput, Saroj Khan, Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu, Farhan Akhtar, Kamal khan, Guru Randhawa, Sonakshi Sinha, Prabhu Deva just to name a few. The experience and the exposure is commendable. Arya is by far the best dance company when it comes to establishing the talent in these children. I wish I had read the reviews of Arya prior to signing up. I would not call Arya an academy or a company because they have absolutely no management skills. Similar to other reviewers, I too was advised that payment would be refunded if canceled within the proper time frame. I canceled the class in Sept 2019 and it is Jan 2020 and I have yet to receive a credit. The numbers and emails on their website are mostly incorrect or invalid. When you finally do get the right number, it goes straight to voicemail and no one ever calls you back. Please look elsewhere for a Bollywood dance academy. My daughter attended online summer camp at Arya and had so much fun! She took the half day summer camp which was well planned with yoga, zumba, arts and craft and of course Bollywood. The only reason I gave this company 2 stars is because the 2 Instructors who's been here for 2 years were very good and hard working. No complaints. But the problem is the company keep changing instructors after the students get used to them. It seems like they do not care about what the students/Parents want.
