I did not use ASAP Mortgage, but here's why I'm writing a review. A few months ago, when mortgage rates were way low, I called around asking for quotes. The internet banks were quick to give me quotes at competitive rates. I figured I would call ASAP to see if they could do any better. When I called, the owner answered the phone and spent the next five minutes talking me OUT of refinancing. She said something along the lines of, "listen, I could sell you a mortgage refinance and make a commission on it, but based on your current mortgage and how much you owe, it won't be worth it for you." I then sat down and took a hard look at the quotes I had been provided and realized that the owner of ASAP was right - a mortgage refinance wouldn't have saved me any money, and it possibly could have cost me some. When is the last time you heard of a business owner turning away a sale because it wouldn't be right for the customer? I was impressed. read more

I was very unhappy with the whole experience. I was misled and lied to. According to my broker who I dealt with told me when we signed all the papers I was promised a rate no higher then 4.5% and then I given a rate of 4.65%. Don't trust them and don't use them find someone else!! read more

If you enjoy receiving "Can I call you later?" automated text messages then ASAP Mortgage may just be the lender for you. ASAP was recommended to me by a broker and I decided to give them a try largely based on the glowing reviews for them here on Yelp. I was put in contact with Vlora Shala and from day one it has been exceedingly difficult to get in touch with her - from even setting up the initial phone consultation all the way up to obtaining a pre-approval letter, communication has been one way with me repeatedly reaching out to her to little avail. I understand that sometimes things can get busy and I have zero issues being patient if given the right expectations - but if I am told repeatedly to expect a call back later that day and then don't receive any communication for several days, then that is not correctly managed expectations. The only reason I do not wish to give ASAP a one star review is because I do genuinely believe that they have helped other people and on the occasions where I was able to speak with Vlora she did seem like a kind and genuine person. ASAP positions themselves as a full-service, "Unique Boutique Mortgage Experience" that prides itself on exemplary service, but my experience with them has fallen far, far short of that description. read more

The process of buying our home was extremely complicated and required that we consider various financing instruments through the negotiations.  Jennifer was our loan officer and without her guidance and work, we wouldn't have been able to navigate this purchase. She made herself available to us even during evenings and weekends to explain, and re-explain requirements and costs of 203k loans, homestyle loans, escrow hold-backs, and conventional loans.  The property we were trying to buy was a bank owned property that, unexpectedly, didn't appraise for conventional financing at first.  We had extremely tight contract deadlines to hit and Jennifer not only prepared us for conventional financing but also got all of the paperwork in the pipeline in case we needed to unexpectedly pivot on a dime to a rehab loan.  She was a pleasure to work with and we'll reach out again for any future financing needs. read more

She was able to assure us that her company and employees did their part to secure us a loan. The problem lied with a particular employee at a branch office; whom failed in properly communicating a quandary. We decided to give ASAP another go since she said she would personally oversee the process. I felt much better this time and the process went much smoother. Throughout the process Irene kept in touch via email and phone. She was involved in every aspect. She was thorough, professional, and pleasant to converse with. She was very concerned in making sure there were no hiccups this time. We also closed very close to the estimated time she gave us.
