They did have a charge associated with having the architect come out that was very small. I can't remember what it was, but it will be baked into the ultimate project payments. Did I shop around? Well... no. These guys have done a lot of work on my house. They have amazing integrity, good pricing from my past shopping around, I can trust them with my dogs and we are mimicking the amazing front porch design they created for me so it just makes sense to stay with a company I trust. A ++ on communication - everyone showed up when they said they were going to or called if running late, which i really appreciated. There were a few things i asked for a change on and they completed the change without too much fuss. Overall good experience with the company. The new bath is definitely the favorite room now; we might have to upgrade the rest of the house to match.

His work is of extremely high quality - he does things right. He is superb with carpentry and electrical work. He is also not afraid to tell you if one of your redesign ideas will not work. If I could give Contract Remodeling 6 stars, I would. They are the standard to which all contractors should aspire.

Peaks started project but when we were concerned with workmanship Peaks stopped work. Called office numerous times and were told need to talk to Brad and get back to us. Over 3 years later and 1500 phone calls to Peaks trying to get answers on when they were going to complete project or refund our money and we would find a new contractor. Peaks never returned calls - always told had to talk to Brad and would get back to you. Put down $20K to start work - only work completed was drywall and trim in one 17 x 1 ft room. Drywall was wavy. Trim person had to fir out drywall in spots to get trim to lay flush - shoddy workmanship. Paid $19K to have all granite replaced in kitchen. Never replaced and would not refund money. Brad agreed to store our stone at his warehouse to keep it out of the way of trades until framing completed and stone could be installed. After numerous attempts to get stone from Brad, finally agreed to give it only if we would sign a fake letter that we owed $9K in storage fees and would not help load over 1000 sq ft in pallets with fork lift, made trades load by hand onto trucks. For any person looking for Peaks to do work - BE FOREWARNED! Brad and his company Peaks are not trustworthy, do not stick to schedule as promised, and ignore clients. He stole our money and refuses to refund. We are currently in litigation with Peaks to return money owed to us. We asked them if we could just get our monies back and move on but Brad stole our money and refuses to answer us. HE IS A SNEAKY LIAR! DO NOT TRUST THEM! I'm sure Brad/Peaks will respond to this with please call our office to reach a settlement but that is a total LIE! He may seem nice and honest but he is NOT! I'm trying to warn any person(s) to not do business with Peaks! We do not anyone to have to go through our nightmare with this SHYSTER! PLEASE BEWARE!

He showed us shingle samples & explained the difference between them. He was also very knowledgeable about the repair needed on the metal roof of the Florida room. The crew came out when they said they would. The job was completed in 1 1/2 days. All shrubbery was covered & the clean up was excellent. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the work done by all involved, and we now happily make daily use of a previously avoided space. More: I was the naysayer on this project and I was wrong. My husband wanted to renovate our dreary basement to give me more space for all my hobbies. We had finished the space 30 years ago on the (very) cheap: carpeted exercise room, a tiny office, a bathroom with a shower no one used, and a crammed unfinished laundry room that also contained a former coal bin lined with shelving. An unfinished cold storage room behind the office held old paint and garden supplies. The spaces were functional, but they were dingy, worn, uninviting, and, consequently, not often used. The laundry room was kind of creepy. I couldn't imagine that improving our small, low-ceilinged space would justify what remodels cost these days, but Ryan and Dana helped us see the possibilities. While keeping the price down, they created a large office/art/sewing room with two long built-in desks, each with wonderful deep drawers, and made the laundry/utility area more usable by dismantling the coal bin and painting the walls and floor. They upgraded the quality of the entire basement with a beautiful banister, vinyl wood flooring, better lighting, solid wood doors, and lovely bathroom fixtures. AND they added a window in the office for a bit of natural light. What a difference! We actually exercise in the exercise room, and the other spaces are just a delight. Now it feels more like a "lower level" than a basement. Greenleaf transformed our basement into a wonderful extension of our home's living areas. Fast forward 2 weeks with no contact, my wife called him to inquire about the designer and estimate. He responded that our budget wasn't high enough, and that it wouldn't be a good fit. If that was the case, he could have told us that when we threw out the $7k. He could have provided some expertise and guidance when we initially said that we didn't know what it should cost. He could have called back or emailed us that he wasn't going to do any work for us. Basically, he could have done many things that are more professional than what he did.
