The zucchini stuffed with pumpkin was too dry and not spiced enough. The gulash lacked power and spice too. The apfelstrudel was a big disappointment, also dry and lacking joy.

It was quite good. They had live music and encouraged audience participation and a great amount of fun was to be found if one wanted to join in. It might have been annoying to the other guests, but we had fun. I would like to have the opportunity to try other dishes, as looking at the other diners meals, they looked good. I don't think we will ever find the opportunity to return, and don't base your dining choice on this review. I think that they are a fine restaurant and handled a large crowd very well, along with the other diners that were there.

I was in town for a few hours while heading up the Rhine, and we walked around until we found this place. It was later in the evening and there weren't a lot of people around, so we grabbed one of the outdoor tables and waited for our server. And waited... and waited. Finally he popped out like he was walking to the other side and, realizing we were there, swung around to come help us. I ordered the coffee and my friends ordered beer and wine. Service was a little slow and he also made a comment about making "tons" of Rüdesheim coffee's a day, and that he was happy that mine would be the last one of the evening.

Well I went and it failed in almost every way. Where do I start.... Walked in and the seats were all booked out. I have NO problem with this.... She pretty much said - I don't drink so I don't know - don't ask me. On this I am thinking - why the hell should she ever serve in a Weinstube. She took an order - and what do you know - NOTHING! Nothing ever came - nothing ever said.... Nothing. So crappy wine advice.... The second server never showed up and clearly did not give a damn about service. Ended up trying their Oktoberfest Marzen - which was a lighter Beer - it was everything you would expect from a German Beer. Very perfect in all it's qualities. Had some sort of Sausage, which was also really nice. What really stood out about this place was the atmosphere. Very calming - the outdoor dinning gave you a great view of the city.
