We love Asbach but the tour was very disappointing. We sat in a room and watched the film about Asbach. When it stopped we waited for someone to get us to tour the rest. Asbach - Distilleries Near Me - Rüdesheim am Rhein, HE

I love Asbach brandy, so this was a must-visit for me when we were in Rüdesheim. The Asbach visitors center is pretty small, the two main attractions being a 15-20 minute video show about the history of Asbach, and the shop. I enjoyed the movie, while the wifey took a nap in the cool, dark room. The shop is nice with all their products and some other items (tip: the tennis shirts are good looking, of fine quality and cheap). They recommend a reservation for visiting, but it's not clear why as it was quite empty when we were there. Perhaps they sometimes have groups filling it up. Note that the Asbach visitors center is a bit of a walk from the town center, and from the factory, which is near the railway station. read more
