Management sucks. They ignore emails and don't help with noise control. People bang on people's walls at night when they are sleeping. People play music so loud at the pool that no one wants to go out there to listen to the crap that's being played. The music is being played by one ethnicity only - and it's rude and disrespectful to other people who want to enjoy a nice day at the pool. They also allow trash to build up every day and have no solution. They also let the parking lot fill up with cars so that residents barely have a place to park - most of the time, they have to park a long ways away from their apartment. read more

My property manager Jonathan is amazing this man is what you call a Manager! Ascot has had a lot of office managers but they got lucky with this one he's still here... Been our manager for few years now and he's the best so understanding and compassionate always willing to give a helping hand with what ever the situation may be and to me that speaks volumes. Ive lived at ascot for four years and have had a lot of help from different maintenance techs over the years , but Tom always goes above and beyond. Especially when I switched apartments, he came by multiple times and helped fix all the things. Then during the hurricane he came by and made sure my water heater was okay, even brought me water when we were still out!!! Super thankful for this community. read more

I've lived at Ascot Point since July. Any and every maintenance issue I've had, whether big or small, have been addressed same day by Tom. He has went above and beyond to make sure that my tenancy is as pleasant as possible. I had a small emergency on Thanksgiving day and felt horrible having to bother the maintenance team. Tom was not only Not upset, he was super kind and had someone over within 30 minutes to fix my issue. The entire maintenance team is wonderful and Tom has made it a point to remember not only my name but my pups name as well :) I highly recommend Ascot Point apartments and all of the staff there. Aimee in the front office rocks! the staff takes care of any request I have quickly, the apartments are nice and clean and big. I even was able to transfer to a bigger unit very quickly. DO NOT RENT AN APARTMENT FROM ASCOT. It is literally a death sentence. The first time I was trying to rent from Ascot, I decided on an apartment and let Erin know. She said she would make sure it's available for me. However, the very next day she rented it out to someone else. I should have seen it as a red flag and walked away. Aside from the overflowing dumpster and maintenance men who make Reddit post and blame that overflow on us, the parking situation is a NIGHTMARE. There is literally no place to park at night most of the time and they literally park on blocked spots. In addition, Ascot charged us for 3-4 MONTHS of water during Hurricane Helene when for 3 weeks there was no water and 3 months where there was no potable water at all!! When I was leaving, they didn't even return the 150 dollar deposit. They claimed that "we're using it because your house was left in a messy state". They also charged us to remove tub adhesives that were there when we first MOVED IN. In addition, they charged us for water/sewer at the end when we were already charged that in the month's rent. When I called Brett, the savior of Ascot, he said he's doing me a favor by not charging more money based on the mess I made. I asked for pictures and he literally nitpicked all of the small stains there that we missed. Literally, go anywhere else. This place has SHADY buisness practices. read more

This place has suchhhh potential, but there are some things that really make this place pretty gross. People do not clean up after their dogs, and they have these small dumpsters for trash and recycling for the ENTIRE complex. They are constantly overflowing - see the attached photos for examples of what it looks like week after week. I've tried emailing management and got no response. Always having some sort of appliance issues too, but maintenance is great and always comes pretty quickly. Best of luck to future residents unless they miraculously start getting it together. read more

I've been in the Asheville area for at least 6 years and this property has made a complete turn around since Jonathan took over. He is the most hard-working person I've met, pays attention to detail and the cleanliness of the grounds. He goes above and beyond in customer service for the residents and is a great leader for his team. I always recommend anyone looking for an apartment to visit Jonathan. I've been here for 8 months now and I can say without a doubt that Ascot Village is one of the best apartment complex I've ever lived in! The staff here really care about their tenants. Jonathan is the most caring office manager you will ever met. He never drives or walks by a tenant without stopping to say hi. Erin is also one of the most helpful and supportive staff you'll meet! I moved here from Rhode Island with no family last here so sometimes it's difficult to find help but Ascot staff are always there to support! Thank you for being so awesome! read more

Loved my space here. Super clean, friendly neighbors. The property manager was super nice and easy to work with.

My roommate and I moved in here June of 2021. We moved out in September 2022. The first few months were great, along with their office. However, things took a turn when they charged us almost $200 for water and when we reached out about how we weren't going to pay that much when there were months that were less than $40, they waited until we had a late fee to work with us on paying that amount. They removed everything so we could pay rent (at this point the late fee was added) and the water bill never got resolved. Later, we were charged almost $400 for water. We had maintenance come and look and they didn't see any leaks. (This was before the second charge.) Not to mention, we found multiple corners in our living room and closets where black mold grew. (They clearly don't worry about any issues of leaks). Months go by, we let them know we're leaving and we have never been treated so poorly by someone until we moved out. They constantly force you to leave reviews. And that's exactly why they have such great reviews, they beg/force you to. There is NEVER any parking for any people actually staying there. I was a full resident and there were days that I worried about being towed, even had a note left on my car once. Their entire apartment needs to be examined because they are allowing anyone and everyone to park wherever when you're paying rent and worried about your car not being there the next day. Thank god we left when we did... since they don't care enough to realize someone doesn't respect the roundabout. read more

if I could give a ZERO rating, I would. This place is loud, trashy, over priced, lazy management. Not to mention the cops are in the neighborhood 3x a week. Safe? probably not. You will have to walk a mile to park. No speed bumps either, people love to speed. I almost got hit more than a few times. not to mention this place will run your credit score into the ground. don't lease with them, after 3 years they are still harassing me about charges on my account that don't make sense. they basically charge you whatever they want. DO NOT rent with them, you'll regret it! the views arent worth it. the parking is non existent. the manager is never around. People steal packages if you don't pay 20$ to for the kiosk. They have a camera in a tree watching you every time you take out the trash. Why not on the parking lots? Theres plenty of other places to rent, you'll thank me. ascot point, there's a day in hell for people like you who mess with peoples credit scores. for next to nothing. y'all are trash and so are your apartments. read more

This place is the worst apartment ever they change staff like 6 times in a year, and the other tenants are nasty as f**k dog shit everywhere if you got small kids you can't let them play outside because there's a 99 % chance they going to step are play beside dog shit .So my lease was up 3 days ago and I moved out I spend a hole f**king day cleaning the apartment just so i can get back my deposit money back because i need it and today I find out I owe them $1360(equals the amount that they wanted us to pay to renew the lease) for damages that's like a hole months of rent , I take pictures of everything before I leave so they going to here from me!!!! read more

This place is a JOKE!! They can "see" when you don't Pick up dog S?!? But can't see when your vehicle is being vandalized!?! They are about .5 steps away from being government housing, but want to charge 1,400 a month to people who can pay it? They can't even keep the same staff for more than a few months at a time. Get over yourselves. Kids can't even place outside due to all the drug activity that happens literally INFRONT of the office. My husband and I had to terminate our lease early. We were told we would pay rent on the apartment until they got someone to move into it, with a maximum of 2 months. The apartment was rented in ten days, and we were to pay around $200. They were to send us this bill to our new address. A few weeks went by and no bill, so I called once a week for the next four weeks to see what was up. Every time I called, they told me it didn't show in their computers that I owed anything. After hearing this 4 times, I gave up and figured I got lucky and they misplaced this information. A few weeks later, I received a call from a collections agency that stated I owed Ascot Point $1700. So not only did they have a bill for me, but a bill that was 8 times the amount I was supposed to owe, and they didn't send me a notification, or let me know when I called, but instead went ahead and sent it to a Collections Agency. 8 months later, we became desperate I suppose, and decided to give it another go with Ascot Point. We filled out the application, payed the application and Refundable admin fees, and were told we would receive a call from them and they would let us know if we were accepted. After not receiving a phone call, I called them, and was told that they needed to hear back from our previous landlord and have our employment verified and we would proceed from there. Well we ended up finding a better apartment, and still hadn't heard from Ascot Point. So we signed a lease for the better apartment. The next day we went to Ascot Point to get our Admin fee refunded. Of course they told us that we couldn't get it back because we had already been accepted. WHAT??!! If we had been accepted I certainly wasn't aware of it. The application clearly states that owing money to a previous landlord is cause of immediate denial, and they hadn't heard from ours yet. It also states that you must have an income of 3 times the cost of rent; they hadn't received our employment verification yet. So how could they have accepted us?? The manager, Kelly, told me she would speak with her boss and see if they could send me the refund. After two weeks of no contact, I called them. Kelly said I could not be refunded because we were already accepted, was extremely rude, and ended up hanging up on me. The admin fee was $100.00. My husband was laid off, That is a lot of money to us. $100 to Ascot Point is chump change. Obviously they don't care about that or abiding by contract laws. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to live. read more
