She stated that the state did not receive my taxes for that year, and it was for the year she did not do them but she would take care of the situation. 8 months into working with her with very limited information on my file, numerous calls and texts with no response I find out that she wants to refer me to her "business partner" to handle the settlement. Frustrated I try to set up a time with them. Surprise no call back or response. fast forward to 10 months of working with her, I get a bank levy from the State. I called the State and they have no records of anyone calling on my behalf. So, I lost over 10 months of her "working" on my case, an additional $800+ in penalties because she called on my behalf and didn't. I stupidly referred to her when I first met with her to my sister, and she is having the same issue very little to no communication. My sister has waited over 2 months to just amend her taxes and is still waiting. Now I am out over $1200 for her to file 2 years' worth of taxes, lost 10 months on getting a settlement with the IRS, and $800+ penalties to the state. Crazy thing I found out today is that she is the owner of the company. When speaking her today, she kept insisting that she did her job, and she did not file the year in question. I have numerous messages of her saying she would take care of the situation and she would be able to handle a settlement. Now once calling to complain she actually called me back to argue that she did her job, in my opinion it was a job of over promising and under delivering. If I could give negative stars I would, there is much better and more professional tax companies out there, that will actually communicate with their clients. I would suggest looking for them.
