From ordering to installation, the whole crew was great! It was a fast process, as I was expecting our custom window replacements to take quite a while to be manufactured and installed. Once in, they quickly set up our install dates and went to work swiftly. I was impressed with how fast it all went and was thrilled with the new beautiful windows and external French doors. My only criticism would be with the clean up of the few prints and glue, but that's only because I really don't like to clean windows :) They hauled off all of the old debris and left our property in great shape. I was very happy with our selections for style and practicality. We bought a 1971 house that hadn't been updated since the day it was built. We were looking for someone who could make an 8' x 4' picture window and install it to a fresh window opening. Got in touch with Charles at Asheville Window and Door and started the process. Charles was amazing to work with, he had great communication and we were never left guessing on any part of the project. Because it was going to be a fresh opening, Charles worked out all the logistics with AO Construction (a company we picked to make the rough opening. They were awesome by the way). On the of installation, everything was perfect. The window team arrived 20 minutes after the rough opening was cut and was finished in a few hours. The window is beautiful and it has already rained a bit, and there are no leaks. I wish I could say more great things, but no one wants to read a Yelp novel. Asheville Window and Door is awesome. It started when we were considering replacing a couple older large windows in our home. When I called Asheville Window and Door the person answering the phone was very helpful. I explained what we were looking for and she promptly schedule for a salesperson to come out. Charles arrived on time and was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Zack, the tech who came out and measured our windows for accuracy was on time ( a big thing for us) and very friendly. Completed his measurements and was on his way. Installation day came as did Dustin and TJ, again on time. These guys got right to work making sure that the furniture was protected and their work area was ready to go. Our house is over 50 years old and had some questionable construction choices. Lol. Dustin and TJ did an incredible job retro fitting our window openings to make our new windows look awesome. Each day when they were done working they made sure to leave the area clean and secure. When the job was completed they re-hung our shades cleaned up , showed us how to operate our new windows and all the features. Project: Replace old vinyl sliding doors in master bedroom with wooden French style patio doors. Excellent service from soup to nuts. The doors are solid, high quality, attractive, and perfectly matched to patio doors in living room which came from different manufacturer. People were great: From the friendly and knowledgeable person who came to measure and show us product samples to the technician who came to fit the door - and a month later came back to do an adjustment after the door had 'settled.' He even fixed an issue with another door before he left that wasn't one of their own products! Good clear communication - about pricing, time for delivery, appointments etc. And the price came in a few thousand lower than the exact same project that was done last year for the living room by Lowes. That project was a nightmare -poor communication, numerous delays and then contractor blaming Lowes agent for making mistakes in ordering etc. We decided we would never use again and so opted for AVL Window and Door for the next project. So glad we did. We don't have any more door or window projects but I recommend them very highly and hope I can save other people the waste of time and money going to other contractors! read more

I was delighted with the service and the product. We replaced master bedroom sliding vinyl style patio doors with wood/aluminium French doors. Ryan, pleasant and knowledgeable, came to measure and discuss options. The quote was $3000 lower than Lowes (who had done the living room identical job a few years earlier). The service man that came to install about 5 weeks later was also very professional and helpful. We showed him an issue we had with the Lowes-installed doors and he kindly fixed that for free! The new doors from this company are certainly equal in quality to the more expensive ones from Lowes and the service was hands down better. They answered calls and emails quickly. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and would certainly use them again for any future door/window work. I first started with gathering quotes for windows and doors. I ended up choosing Asheville windows and doors. When it came to me signing the contract and of course sending money I was getting calls and emails to try to get that arranged. Once they received their money, that changed. I had to seek updates on order and install and hardware choices. Never heard back from salesperson. In fact, another trade informed me my windows were in. The installers were awesome but the sales person was incredibly hard to communicate with. I've left messages with no response emails with no response. Once he did respond he didn't seem to know what was going on. He was pretty much useless when it came to finding hardware that I wanted for the doors. I had something in mind and sent it to him. But because he waited so long to get back to me that hardware was out of stock and wasn't coming anytime soon. I had to order different hardware on my own. Now it's time for my doors to be installed and since then I've been rescheduled twice. Now I will have to reschedule the painters that need to stain the doors. Not happy with the customer service nor the sales person with follow up. Will never recommend or use them again. read more
