She and her awesome assistant Missi put me at ease immediately. They and the entire office staff are genuinely kind people who care about people and you feel that the minute you walk in. I have been in for procedures as well as rechecks and they are all just as helpful, caring, and accommodating whether it's a Monday morning or later in the week. Doctor Baker seems to embrace new technology and procedure changes and adjustments as they come along. I have never gotten the vibe of that old school, resistant to change atmosphere I have found in other offices. As procedures are done, Dr. Baker explains what she is doing and is continuously conscious of my comfort level. Her assistant, Missi knows her stuff and the two of them work perfectly together. Missi is very attentive and concerned about discomfort as well. Even my chapped lips were tended too while I was there. I was also offered a blanket before my procedure. I have always left there with all my questions answered and complete instructions for my aftercare, prescriptions, and a realistic expectation of upcoming pain levels and duration. I also have the Dr.'s cell phone in case I have any issues. I would prefer to not have dental work done at all, but since that's not an option I feel blessed to have found them. This is a great doctor with an awesome staff.. right down to scheduling, payment processing, and acknowledgement of your arrival and departure. If I could I would give them more stars. Who knew I could ever give a great review to someone cutting into my gums!!

According to my policy, my plan, should have covered 100% of the cost, but when I received my EOB, it only covered 80%. I called the office to investigate and the woman who answered the phone was the same woman who scheduled that first appt. and she said, "We accept and file it but we are not in network". That is very different from "Yes. We accept it". Not being in network, meant that I would be responsible for a greater portion of the bill. I feel as if I was purposely misled to get a new patient on the books. I was going to transfer my care to Dr. Hedlund as he was very pleasant, took his time and the staff was all very nice but given the circumstances, I probably will not.

In many ways the…read moredoctor was great, extremely competent and caring, concerned with keeping pain to a minimum, looking for ways to help, even with a very difficult situation. Later, some of the procedures did not work out so well - but I don't know if anyone could have done better. Yes, she does gab away with staff while working on your mouth, but it didn't seem to interfere with what she was doing. My problems began with one of her assistants/receptionists. She misunderstood a provision in the insurance coverage. I got the insurer to confirm to her, the proper meaning. From then on she resented me and acted as if she'd caught me trying to steal the office furniture. There were also instances where she had quoted prices which were then not honored and she claimed not to have made those quotes. That didn't help matters. Dr McLauren is compassionate person and I knew and applauded that among her other charities, she would sometimes employ individuals that she thought needed a hand. And she was fiercely loyal to those people she was helping. I suspect the assistant complained about me to Dr McLauren because of a sudden her attitude changed and became very cold. She then seemed to turn my care over to that untrained assistant whenever she could. That was the point at which I walked away.

Clean, sterile and somewhat futuristic. The dentist was patient thorough and explained exactly what he was doing. My gripe is with the front desk. Without getting into a big discussion, I spent a great deal of time completing the online paperwork prior to my visit. Provided ID during my visit. It was an out of network referral. I received a call the next day, the young lady asked me for my social security number, I asked why that was needed and she said for identification purposes. I said well I provided my ID when I was there and I explained I wasn't comfortable providing my social security number. She said, and I quote, "ok no problem" and ended the call. That was almost 2 months ago and I still have not heard back.

They answered a lot of my questions over the phone and helped me schedule an appointment that worked with our schedule. The office itself is very nice. Simple and cozy and the Zen garden is incredible. They told me that Dr. Pumphrey does the gardening himself! :-) we were taken back on time and the doctor came in after just a couple minutes with his very nice assistant. Dr. Pumphrey was so wonderful. He has a very soothing, gentle demeanor. He made my nervous mother feel very comfortable and explained his plan for her very thoroughly. To diagnose her he took a scan, that took just a minute, and was able to show us a 3-D image of her tooth, show us the concerns and explain the solution. I love the high-tech aspect! While we were in the dental chair, my mom started coughing and Christine came right in with two bottles of water. What a wow! Super impressed how they anticipated our unspoken need. He recommended a very conservative treatment plan. He was very considerate of her time, her travel schedule, and the potential for discomfort. I really felt he was giving us his honest recommendation with no regard for anyone but his patient. I will update my review after her service, but so far I would not change a thing!
