Have called the store a number of times to get an update, talked to multiple employees and every person has a different answer and no one can tell me when we will have our couch that was purchased in December. Recently ordered furniture/ couch and loveseat from Ashley in Cape after waiting over 2 months finally get phone call it is there. I take my trailer to pick up furniture loaders drop my couch puts a whole in back of couch, I told them I would like another couch . They said they did not have another one . Manager on duty assured me it would be repaired. That was the 4th of July they won't call back, manager is rude. I would stay as far away from this place as you can. Have been waiting on my furniture for 9 months. Called to cancel the delivery when it does come in to pick up. The general manager will not give me a gift card for the $100 until I get my furniture. We placed (and paid in full for) an order for several items. We were told the a couple items would be dropped shipped in a week. We did receive the one piece. However, after another week we called to check the other drop ship item and they couldn't locate it and weren't very helpful. Finally on that Friday they "found" it. When we unpacked it (a mattress) we discovered it was the wrong one. However, it was just as good as the one we ordered so we didn't squawk. Now as to the livingroom furniture. We were told 4-6 weeks and it has now been 8 weeks. When we call all they will tell us is the order is "pending". The manager is RUDE! You can't tell me that they can't call SOMEONE and find out if it is sitting on a truck or if there is a better estimated shipment date. Their customer service is sorely lacking. read more

On June 19, 2020 my husband and I went to Cape Girardeau MO and picked out a couch and love seat, secured financing and was told 4-6 weeks out. This is week 12 and we were told a couple of weeks ago that we would receive it on Sept 10. Yesterday., Sept 8 we were told it would not be Sept 20-21. I checked on the financing and they told me they dropped us on Aug 5th due to nothing being charged to the account. So now we don't have financing and I can't reapply due to refinancing my house and we have been told not to let anything hit our credit. So we want to be canceled without being charged 35% restocking fee. We don't have a way to pay for this outright. We have tried to cancel this on our own but the Cape Girardeau store refuses to work with us without charging us 35%. read more

I ordered my couches end of July 2019. It is oct 1 and I still do not have my couches. The day it was supposed to be delivered two weeks ago the told me the delivery guys quit. It was rescheduled for 10 days later. I received them yesterday and they ordered them in the wrong color. I didn't even know they came in this color. I still have not gotten a call back from the higher manager. This kind of service is unacceptable. They have not been empathetic in and way and I keep getting left in the dark. read more

I would give Ochs Brothers dba Ashley Homestore in Cape Girardeau, MO, no stars, even negative, if possible. I ordered furniture 11-06-2020. My original contract price was $1936.26. I do not have the furniture. I tried to cancel after waiting 8 months. Informed I could not cancel. Never offered a form to fill out to cancel. Cancelled the credit card. Yet Ashley's was able to still charge my closed account. I was never informed when the last piece of ordered furniture even came in. Finally, after disputing charges, I offered in Dec. 2021 to take the furniture at the contracted price but not allowed to do so. Ashley's then decided they could charge me $2892.17 for the furniture since prices have since gone up. And now 22 months later, after numerous phone calls, disputes with Synchrony, complaints filed...I still am expected to pay over $1400 for nothing. I have no furniture but I am still expected by Ashley's to pay $1400+. And how did Ashley's decide I owe them $1400+? It is not the cost of any of the furniture nor is it the restock fee of 15% or even the 35% amount that does not appear in my contract. I will never do business with Ashley's again. Ordered a sofa at the end of Jan. and was told I would get an email or call regarding the tracking information-did not receive one for a week, so I called. They said it would be put on a truck on the 1st and it would be at the store in a few days. I called on the 10th to check on the status and the person had no idea what she was doing. Every time I called, I got the response that they would put a note in for someone to call me back. I called on the 11th and was told it takes up to 6 weeks for delivery. Got a call back and they said the sofa would arrive in about a week. Got a text message on the 14th to schedule delivery. I chose the 18th because it was the soonest available. I got a text message back saying they were delivering it the 17th between 8am and 6pm. The message said I would get a call or email with a 3 hour window for delivery-never got one. Woke up this morning to call for a 3 hour window, but they weren't open. I called when they opened at noon to get a 3 hour window and they said they don't do deliveries on Sundays. They said it may be delivered tomorrow, but there was no guarantee. I've already switched my schedule around for all of this miscommunication. This is the worst experience I have had with a company. I get a different answer from each person I speak with and there is no clarity. read more

Do not order from this store. The day of delivery I was up waiting for hours. They said they were in my driveway for 30 minutes and could not get a hold of me and then they said they couldn't find my house. I gave them directions and then many hours later they said there cell phones died and they still couldn't find my house and must reschedule. Funny they couldn't find a place they were sitting at for 30 minutes. I am now waiting on them again and they will not answer the phone. Absolutely ridiculous! read more

I ordered approximately 4,000 worth of furniture. When it was delivered, an end table was wrong. They agreed it was ordered wrong. They took the table back. Then they tried to return the table then proceeded to charge me a 30% restocking fee. Not my mistake therefore I'm not paying the restock fee. I have asked for my money back and still haven't received it. I will consulting a lawyer and I will be suing for my refund and I may be seeking punitive damages based on the knowledge that they willingly are being unethical. read more

I ordered a couch on July 26 2019 was told that it would take 2 weeks. I callp the warehouse to see if the order was in I was told the truck would leaving on August 9th . So I called the next week was told my furniture is on the truck that left the 9th and should be here any day. So the next week I called and ask to speak to the store manager on August 21 she then tells me the truck had a delay I ask her when did the truck leave the warehouse she replied oh it left SEVERAL DAYS AGO and she would put me on a priority to get it as so as it gets here. Well I called back to the warehouse on the 25 and was told the truck had left on the August 20 and I was not on a priority list. So it is one to keep telling your customer over and over the trucks are delayed but to have a store manager out right lie to a customer. I have worked in sales and that is not how you keeps customers. And more so would not keep a store manager or an employe that would lie to a customer. So at this time I have a empty living room I gave my couch and loveseat away thinking I would have my new couch in 2 WEEKS. It has been a month and a day and still no couch.
