I admit, it is hard to deal with the staff after the purchase and delivery of items. You have to be adamant and follow up. I do agree that the customer service lacks. "Jenny" will reach out to you re delivery - you need to respond and confirm otherwise they will cancel. We had a small problem but with persistance it was resolved. We purchased the Havalance-Exclusive Door Chest. What a beautiful product. The person whom we dealt with was Arshdeep Singh. He was pleasant to deal with. He was great. Highly recommend this person as a go to. Just remember, if you sign up for the Ashley credit card there is a $35 annual fee. When you visit the heartland store, look for Arshdeep Singh. Bought a adjustable bed with extended warranty, Broke it was a disaster to get help from Ashleys or their direct warranty company going on 4+ months , this bed was purchased for medical reasons and cannot be used. Very frustrating to deal with them , all they give is empty promises and no call backs. I can go on for hours but, let just say they take advantage of the elderly and should be ashamed of themselves. Recently, we went to buy a dining table from this store. We liked a floor model which included 4 chairs and a bench. The salesperson agreed to give it to us. Later, she called and said she can give us a new one with warranty for an additional $250 to which we agreed. We got a text that the delivery is coming with a table and 4 chairs, and the bench will arrive a week after. We agreed to that too. Much to our surprise the delivery guys bought a table and one CHAIR only and that too was defective. We had to make a call to the customer service to resolve this matter and they said Your order includes only 1 chair and even they were surprised as no one orders a dinning table with one chair. Anyways it has been resolved, we are getting 4 chairs and a bench by july 16 , what surprised us most that, There was no apology or any kind of compensation to offer from the sales person or the Manager. read more

Horrible experience and horrible products. Bought a bed frame and mattress from them back in June 2022 and the bed frame with the mattress was so high that we had to get the bed frame replaced in September. I was told I would get a new invoice with lifetime store credit of $120 which was the price difference but never got an invoice and now when I wanted to use the store credit to buy something I reached out to customer service who sent the invoice with only $23 store credit. My wife curses the mattress which is already sagged and is difficult to sit on. She had so much back pain because of the mattress during her pregnancy this year and now also finds it very uncomfortable to sit and nurse the baby on it. I couldn't do much because it's a $1200 mattress that I can't just throw away or replace. Now it has become extremely uncomfortable for her to get in and out of bed and she hates the mattress. Not sure if anything can be done after a year but be careful because the mattress will sag away despite using their recommended box spring. Lady who assisted us was patient, with great knowledge. And that's where it ends. Delivery is a struggle. They don't guarantee morning time. We scheduled for Saturday. As of today, we are sitting with a not usable work table with loose ends. It was delivered on Nov 5th and the same day a Service order no 1296107608 for missing and damaged parts was issued by the team that came to assemble SO clearly it was a substandard table. I followed multiple times on the customer care numbers and website ( their email on the website does not work ) and finally had a technician visit us on the week of 22nd Nov after numerous calls on our end. He too acknowledged the damaged table and missing parts. When I did follow up with their customer service NO ONE HELPED and said the parts are coming tentatively only on Dec 28th. Upon mentioning that a work table is essential for us ( mind you we also ordered an Ottoman and Accent Cabinet with the work table but it does not matter when it comes as it is not essential) (Ashley sales person assured the availability of work table thus we ordered as it was necessity ) Customer service told us we cannot exchange or get a refund. And instead offered us a $ 30 voucher to live with a damaged table. With the temporary seating arrangement that we have to make we are started to have back discomfort. Ashley wants us to work on a damaged table. Moreover, it is a hazard for my small kids since the tops are wobbly and not assembled properly. Now we cannot buy another table as Ashley has taken the money and they will not refund/ return this table even though now we have to wait for another 1.5 months to have this table fixed by them which was originally delivered damaged. If you think I am a disgruntled customer who bought a table and is upset, I would like to mention that I have been buying their furniture for a long time and since my first house. as a matter of fact, EVERYTHING IN MY HOUSE is from Ashley and it surprised me that over the years I have paid a premium for their products including 5 years but their support services and customer services I pathetic and substandard. I ordered free shipping, apparently their policy is to drop it off in front of the apartment building, not your apartment door, if it's free shipping. Never in my entire life for any type of shipping had I heard that they drop it off in front of an apartment building and not the apartment itself. With a lot of insisting, they took it up, but then left it in the hallway. This was a huge piece of furniture, that came in one piece, all assembled. This is a fire hazard in my hallway I cannot move, and have no idea what to do. How insensitive of a company or delivery men to do something like this, regardless of the service chosen. The store associates are lovely and the customer service was good however from the ordering to the delivery it has been nothing but problems. I purchased a couch and was told it was in stock and would be delivered May 29th, only to find out that part of my couch was out of stock and wouldn't arrive at the warehouse until June 19th. Now I've followed up again and I'm told the other part of my couch isn't in stock and is estimated to arrive July 6th. A month and a half after the original scheduled delivery. And the new delivery date is still just an estimate. The customer care line says they cannot help me AND are telling me I have to pay a 10% fee for cancelling my order if I wish to purchase a couch elsewhere. What a headache. Excellent shopping experience! Went with my sister to comparison shop a dining room set and not planning to buy just yet. Decided to buy on this trip because a beautiful 5-piece Asian Hardwood (made in Vietnam) set was 40% off with free storage of purchase for next few months, free delivery to condo lobby on Wed-Fri, and one year parts replacement warranty for manufacturing defectives. Salesperson Maude Cui-Muir was excellent in showing, explaining the product and terms. REVIEW UPDATE....My sister took delivery of this dining room set on Sept 29th...remember the FREE storage? I spent 2 hours to assembly the whole thing. The quality and fit was excellent..and I didn't have extra bolts and washers at the end (like I do when putting together IKEA furniture)! Don't buy anything from here. They do not care anything after they sell the product. You pay over $3500 for a sectional and starts pilling after 10 days of delivery. We don't have a kid and it already looks like a 10 years old sectional. This is unacceptable. I called the guest care in the first month of the sofa and i am told that it's not under warranty I have to use a fabric shaver and the pilling will stop. Nothing stopped and getting worse and worse everyday. This is the customer service they gave me. I called again and they said they cannot do anything. This is the worst customer service experience I have experienced. If you want to spend over $3500, know that you are spending your money for nothing and you are getting lots of headaches and pilling on the sectional. upon entry of Ashley in auburn wa I was greater and for the most part they were kind enough to let my husband and I shop making our own decisions without sales pressur. after purchasing a 3 piece sectional delivery was set up. I was able to get it 4 days earlier so that was great. so this is the reason for the one star rating, when I purchased the set I paid extra for set up and clean up. after the delivery people brought everything in and began to set up they realized they were missing the feet to the largest couch portion told me the warehouse would call me and let them know what time they would return to install a d finish set up. no one called so I called and was told it would be 3 weeks for them to get me the feet and finish install. I was so angry I went to the store to complain but they couldn't do anything so I'm stuck waiting 3 weeks for my set up to be complet. Please read this review and check the pictures before you make a decision to buy at Ashley Homestore. Save your money while yo still can! I bought two couches and I received them at the end of January. In February, both broke. One of them had a totally broken back frame and the other was broken from under the seat. I wasn't able to get a technician visit before a month. To my astonishment, the Guest Care refused to replace them and said that they were repairable. I really didn't want to repair a one month old couch. However, Guest Care told me that they cannot return them and that is all that they could do and that their technicians can do a better job than the manufacturer. Although I hadn't bought the couches from a manufacturer, I bought them from Ashley Brand, yet I had to acquiesce. They were repaired and returned early April. By May, one of them broke from under the seat, exactly where it had been repaired. And again I had to endure this couch for a month since all technicians were fully booked. I got the visit I waited for the call only to be further stunned by the Guest Care responding that the Repair Manager's comment was that the damage was due to customer abuse and that there was nothing that they could do about it. After refusing their judgement they said they'd review the case and get back to me and I received a judgement that they can't return them and when I said what if they break again, they said then we keep repairing them, hence depleting my warranty that I had bought. read more

Ok, where do I begin. I will say the furniture that I purchased although on the expensive side seems to be pretty good quality. So that's at least the one good thing. The bad thing: a "system glitch" resulted in my items not being available for pick up at the requested date. Even though we purchased the items 4 months in advance. Our bill was over 4K BTW. We were offered free delivery, upon multiple calls to there customer service department, which couldn't keep our file updated from one person to the next. We kept having to explain our situation over and over again. The delivery was delayed an additional couple days because the items were still was not ready. Seriously? I also did not receive a call to advise that my delivery was not going to be delivered on time. I was left in a house with no couch for 19 days. 19 DAYS!!! absolutely insane and I was never given any sort of compensation for the " system glitch". Other than free delivery. Also the clerk who handles the payments for Ashley ( at this location anyway) she takes your money after you make your purchase with the salesman, She's a total B**ch to say the least. All these places are commissioned based so be prepared to hounded. But we dealt directly with the sales manager and he was awesome. He worked out a nice deal because we pretty much furnished our entire living room and then some with Ashley. The quality also seems to be pretty good. So far. Delivery guys were great. Called several times for a resolution only to be told their team reviewed the order and the damage was not done by them since they left the sofa outside . They even had pictures of the sofa inside my house. Why would they take pictures if they didn't come into the house. Hi, Ashley is the name where quality and customer service started, this is what they said, but after reading my story you will never ever think to buy from Ashley Again. Recently I did my purchase from Ashley that is not a cheap one, I spent $6000 (approx) to buy a new bedroom set, on the delivery day the delivery guys Broke my Dresser, they did not deliver the night table because of the defect and they deliver footboard with half-inch chip on it. When I make the complaint they said as per company policy they have to repair first if that does work then they have to replace it. Every month I reduce my spending and did some saving to buy this furniture, I chose Ashely because I thought they are the best in the furniture market. Now today the technician came and fix the footboard but that chip still can be identified easily, when I call them they told me that as per our technician's comments the chip was fixed 90%. which is not correct. I can still identify the fix. For the dresser which they broke during delivery from the bottom, they said that they will take it to the workshop and repair it. NOW the question is I paid the price for BRAND NEW furniture and not for refurbish. it's really really disgusting... they are offering me 35$ off for the footboard that cost around $330 :( I paid for new furniture and not for refurbish... It took them almost 6 weeks to arrange a service call and when they finally got to us ( 2 hours pass the 3 hour window we waited patiently for the service tech to arrive at) they tell us that they need to arrange for another service call to take the chaise away for a week (leaving me with nothing in it's place) If i wanted damaged furniture... I would've shopped on Kijiji! I visited the store to understand that they do not have the authority to make decisions about my complaint. Only head office can do this... Spent a lot of time shopping for a couch. Went to the Mississauga Ashley Homestore and found a comfortable sectional. $5500 spent on the couch and matching ottoman so not a "cheap" couch. Questioned the salesperson re the fabric and was told that it was extremely durable and that it only comes in that one fabric and it is selected for it's durability. High pressure extended warranty push by the manager. I wish I had read the warranty better before buying because the fabric is not guaranteed at all. "Fading, pilling and shading are characteristics of certain types of fabrics and are not defects (?). Manufacturers of upholstered furniture do not warranty for wearability (?) or colour fastness. Ashley endeavours to sell ONLY THE BEST fabrics based on the information from suppliers but we regret that we cannot honour adjustments, claims or credits on the wearability of colourfastness of fabrics". Surely they employ someone with knowledge about fabrics. Couch looked good on delivery. Immediately after delivery on January 8, 2018, we noticed that a seam on the one corner was not on the corner and the fabric was pulled and puckered. They sent a rep out to see it and agreed it had to be fixed. While he was there we mentioned that the cushions were all lumpy and the fabric on the chaise was stretched and loose and looked like an old couch after just over a week of owning it. He said that the cushions have a foam centre then are hand stuffed with polyester and lumping is unavoidable. I discussed that with my partner and he said we will address it with the person that comes to fix it. Finally on February 27 the repairman finally came. I addressed the issues with him that included: the chaise fabric loose and the seams puckered, cushions lumpy and seams puckered, corner seat raised at back, lower at front, one cushion 3" higher than others on the end, back cushions loosely stuffed and lose shape and look old and baggy. The couch is 2 months old and looks like an old crappy couch. He said the fabric is stretchy to it will loosen, the puckering of the seams is because it is so stretchy, the chaise is not going to get better and the loose fabric is just because of the quality of the fabric, the back cushions need to be flattened out on a hard surface so they look okay, the seam puckering all over the couch is because the material pulls and stretches. We LOVE the size of the couch, the colour, the soft material. It is HORRIBLE QUALITY... THE FABRIC, THE STUFFING, THE SEAMS PUCKERING, the pile flattening... 2 months. The service dept called yesterday, March 1, as the repairman noted our concerns and AGREED with them. *HE SAID HE HAS BEEN TO OTHER HOMES WITH THE SAME COUCH AND SAME CONCERNS** Service dept was BRUTAL. The first man I spoke to said "YOU picked the couch, you saw the fabric" and then said "YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE YOUR DUE DILIGENCE!!". What? I told him as a consumer I trusted the salesperson telling me the fabric was durable and that since it is the only fabric Ashley sells that couch in that someone from Ashley should be professional enough to know. I asked to speak to his supervisor and that was worse. He basically said the same thing. Buyer beware. They do not guarantee fabric. We should have picked something with a different fabric. He told me we could exchange it and pay 10% restocking fee. I told him we love the couch. It is the quality and wear that is horrible and that is not our fault. After talking to him for a while I knew I did not want another Ashley product. He said 25% restocking fee for return... of a couch that was showing wear when the FIRST service person came out after a WEEK!!! I asked to speak to his supervisor and he told me she did not want to talk to me. I asked her name and he said he hadn't actually spoken to her yet. He would not listen. He kept talking over me. I actually admit I had to scream at him to be quiet and quit reading his script and LISTEN to what I was saying. He kept saying it is your choice to return it, you do not like it. I bought leather sofa for 4000, 1 year ago, the edges of the leather is damaged, when I used the spray that they give me at the store to clean, part of the leather grey color has faded leaving a white stain. After too many calls, I finally got technicians, they reported the damage. Yesterday I called to follow up, the guest care agent replied nicely and said that yes we saw the damage, we apologize, we offer you either exchange or partial refund because we are not able to repair, we don't produce this product any more. Wowza, this is an expensive and high end furniture store. I just bought a sectional couch from Ashley's, which is the most amazing piece of furniture I have ever sat on. The fabric and make of their pieces are really good quality, so you do get what you pay for in the end. The sales people are all really friendly and the store is HUGE so take your time and look around. If you are in to high wooden furniture pieces this is the place for you! It has a much more of an "older" feel to it, like everything is supposed to be vintage and directed to an older crowd. But on a good day you can find a deal that is totally worth the time spent crying over furniture that you cannot afford. read more

The side tables arrived without glass tops, it's been 30+ days and we still do not know when the glass will arrive. The customer service is extremely casual and after repeated follow ups from our end the glass will now come from the factory as a rush order. Still 30+ days and counting and yet this issue is yet to be resolved. Also one of sofas came damaged with a tear to the leather and instead of replacing the sofa, we have been told that a part will be ordered and we will get it soon. She seemed exasperated that I wouldnt walk across the store. i had minor surgery this week and it still hurts to walk. The salesman was very sweet and found the dresser in seconds on the computer. Do not shop at the Heartland Mississauga store. The salesman Jawid was extremely pushy and did not respect my husband and I request to leave us alone to discuss our purchase. He lied about the return policy. He told us we could return anything for any reason with no cost if we choose to purchase something else. The delivery charge is applicable if you do not repurchase. We were fine with that. Restocking charges of 25 percent were not disclosed at time of purchase. I asked him with the store manager standing listening what I was signing for and was told it was for white glove service. Restocking fees were not mentioned at all until we decided to return the couch. I was informed that my refund would be issued the day after the couch was picked up. I'm still fighting to get my refund. The only good thing about our experience is that the store manager waived the restocking fees and admitted he over heard the closing conversation with the salesman. Be very careful if shopping at this location. They are taking advantage of consumers by being very miss leading. read more

We purchased a table set and a set of lamps. while buying the stuff we were told of a $60 charge for assembly and setup. The guy showed up with pre-assembled tables (may be it is easy to assemble at the warehouse location and I understand that part), the lamps were just not assembled and still in the packing. Refused to assemble the same. When i called the store to complain about the same, first I was told that they do not assemble lamps. I was pissed at this point! They were not delivering what they promised. It was not over yet.... I get a call back saying that, if you get the lamp box to the store we can assemble it for you.... seriously they think the customer is a fool to drive 50 km to get a pair of lamps assembled.... I went into the store to purchase cushions for my Alanya charcoal couches that I had purchased from Arrow 5 years ago, but was an Ashley product. When I got in the store the front desk lady was not listening to me. She asked me for my drivers licence, I asked her what for, just to purchase 5 cushions? Then she figured out what I was asking, then I had to re explain 4 times what i needed. she kept telling me that it the purchase could not happen, how shes never heard of this before. She eventually asked to to get the SKU number, (like im suppose to know this) (I already spoke to customer care and they directly told me to go into the actual store to make the payment as I did not have a credit card and that the cushions would be considered parts, so thats what i did, i walked in. Front desk is asking for my phone number and according to her she sees all my recent purchases but not the couch. Lady...you didnt hear how many times i said i bought the couches from Arrow? As I walked away from front desk to get the so called sku number, I saw a sales man, I asked him his name and told me Dawid, I began explaining to him what I needed to purchase, he began to say that the whole sectional sofa would need to be purchased and this was not possible, i began to explain that I spoke to customer care and infact in can be done, he began to get very upset, and Im wondering why? if anyone should be upset it should be me. Dawid took up the cushion off of the couch and said he should know he works here for the last 6 years, and customer care could never have told me this information, we kept going back and forth, he then throws down the cushion still arguing with me. I said look i just need someone to help me get the sku number for front desk to make the purchase, he then grabs the tag from off of the center table and says these sku numbers wont help me and chucks it down on the table and walks off upset. I dont even know what was wrong with this guy, clearly has issues. I saw another representative by the name of Mackenie, she was very helpful and polite,she listened to the need that I had and started to investigate if this purchase could of been made or not, she ended up helping me out right to the end. If i didn't see Mackenzie standing there on her computer I would of left although I badly need the cushions replaced. Even front desk, clearly lacks listening skills and doesnt know what shes even doing. Furniture arrived damaged, waited 2 weeks for tech to arrive and confirm item needed a replacement part. Then waited 2 more weeks for tech to return and tell me he didn't know why he was sent. It is now over 2 months and still waiting, if you value your time do not go to Ashley Homestore, customer service after you pay for your expensive items is unhelpful and totally uninterested in helping solve the problem instead they will book appointments and then promptly cancel stating you need to wait a further few weeks for another appointment, very frustrating. They actually told me they were doing me a favour by repairing the item, they have my money and I am still waiting for replacement parts Buyer Beware of this store. Save your sanity and avoid this store. Just wanted to follow up on my experience, after 3 months a tech did arrive again! With, no surprises here, the wrong size replacement part. And so after nearly 4 months Ashley agreed to replace my chest of drawers, only I would need to wait another month unless I agreed to a week day delivery, and so to end this disaster I booked a day off work in order to receive replacement item. Item arrived, looked like it had just been pulled off the shop floor with dings and scratches, typical, and so knowing their history I'm not going to start this whole nightmare again ahhh!!! Oh and afterwards Ashley actually offered me an Ashley gift card for my loyalty, told them to keep their card would not give an Ashley gift card to my enemy. The irony, they think I would buy from Ashley again. You cannot make this stuff up, Ashley has a huge problem in their customer care department. I recently took a visit to family in Saskatchewan and just by accident during a shopping trip with my mom happened into an Ashley Furniture Homestore. I have been looking for a new couch for some time and the first one inside the door was just what I've been looking for in vain. Sadly though, I live in Mississauga not Saskatoon so I thought I would have to just keep looking. Instead I picked up the phone and called Ashley's Mississauga location and a very friendly saleswoman confirmed that yes that model was available in my home store and I could order it over the phone. (It was even slightly cheaper because of regional pricing differences.) By the time I arrived home from my trip I waited about one additonal week and got the call that my beautiful all leather robins egg blue couch had arrived. It actually got there two weeks earlier than anticipated. The service was impeccable and now my couch and I are in heaven! read more

i bought a sofa set and cocktail table set from Ashley store in Brampton. when the delivery came few weeks later, the cocktail table was missing and then only they told me that it has been back ordered and will arrive in a month time. I was so frustrated why they couldn't communicate this to me earlier as I was at the store few days earlier and also the customer service agent who spoke to me few days ago told me that everything will be delivered on that day. This was not the service level I expected from Ashley when we go to a reputable place paying extra for that service & quality. read more

STAY AWAY!!!! This is by far the WORST furniture store out there. Their practise are questionable at best. Their "managers" are never around. Then when things went really wrong apparently the manager I was trying to reach was on a leave. They got days without a manager presence on the floor. It took us THREE MONTHS to get our furniture, when we did it was WRONG. three month later my 6 months no interest financing was up! ZERO customer service. They actually blamed me for their mess up! Instead of making it right and taking the tab for the interest incurred because of their mistake, they accused me of not paying attention during the 6 MONTHS NO INTEREST PERIOD. Rediculous. Unprofessional. Buy funiture from Walmart before you buy from this place. JUST STAY AWAY FOLKS. Please don't support such a bad business. I have NEVER written a review on a business before however people need to know. When we were there enquiring about our back ordered product there were two other couples also complaining about their order. They need to shut down immediately. read more
