I was very transparent about the past of my hair and I wish transparency was given back about not being able to get those type of results at all because I wouldn't have moved forward with it, but I was assured it was possible, so I went for it. Again; very nice person and I'm sure she's great at hair but it didn't work for me and I felt overcharged for 2 strands of hair to be charged as full hair color and ended up with results I have to fix at home spending more money. She said that it would be easy to do and would just have to lighten a lot in a balayage way. I arrived to my appointment And she looked at my hair and told me that it would take way more time and could not get it done in my appointment time. She told me it would take at least two appointments. I then asked if it would cost more than what she originally charges for the service. She replied with two or more visits making it close to 400.00 or more. No hairstyle is worth that much and I was expecting my hair to be done. So she then proceeded with there's a cancellation fee of 87.50 and she would not let me leave til I paid it. The truth of the matter is she cancelled on me after she told me how easy it would be to do my hair prior to her seeing me. I then tried disputing the charge through my bank and she would not give me my money back. Her and her friend in the salon at the time were very unprofessional and immature. She needs to do what's right since tge cancellation was due to her and not me. I showed up for the appointment wanting my hair done. I work in tge medical field and if a patient shows and under a circumstance due to our advice can't be seen, we do not charge a cancellation fee. While I didn't need my gray colored, I really needed a cut as my hair was out of control, over my ears and unable to style it any longer. I explained how I wore it and she went to work with the clippers and cleaning up the sides and around my ears. The conversation was great, must be a characteristic of hair stylists, as we had a good time talking during my cut. It took a few extra cuts to get the "quaff" as she called it the correct length on the front of my hair. I walked out after a very affordable "style" and tipped her happy with how it looked and felt. Botched and overcharged!! This is hands down the worst…read moreexperience I've ever had at a hair salon. Just look at this hack job, I wanted solid black hair. I'm autistic so having to call and talk to her to make an appointment, instead of booking online is bad enough. I can hardly understand her accent. The whole time she did my hair she was much more rough than she needed to be, painfully pulling on my scalp. When my hair was finally done and had been dried, I headed to the front desk she GRABBED ME BY THE SHOULDER (wtf?? Do not touch people without consent!) and insisted she needed to "comb" it. She ran a flat iron through my hair, despite me saying that I didn't need her to style it and I don't like to unnecessarily use heat on my hair. She never told me the cost, but I naturally assumed it would be cheap because the salon is not as nice. It is dilapidated, and the posters on the wall show styles that havent been on trend since 2004. But she charged me $150 saying it's because my hair is long, but Ulta doesn't change the price based on length. Hair color there only costs $81-$102. The higher price is for a master stylist, which Suzy clearly is not. She also has the audacity to only accept cash, so I had to go to the ATM and pay a withdrawal fee. I went to Ulta afterwards for my tinsel and the stylist there was SHOCKED at how awful it was. She took this picture for me. The dye was not rinsed out of my hair, it was still CRUSTY and she PUT A FLAT IRON ON IT LIKE THAT. And as you can see, the color is patchy and uneven. I had to get the color redone, overall having to spend twice what I should have on my hair. Go to the Ulta hair salon instead, they are so much better in every way!
